Very disappointed. There no heating even outside temperature only 9 degree. The manager Ray said he can’t do anything until the management decided to turn on heating until 7pm. I need to put on my down jacket and wait two and half hours until they turn it on. How ridiculous to stay in the hotel cold as in the street!

I spent 7 nights at the Prudential and I have zero complaints. First of all, the location is wonderful; right on Nathan Road which means there are numerous bars/restaurants steps away. If you walk straight along Nathan Road, you'll get to the harbor and star ferry in under twenty minutes. The staff members were fantastic, very helpful and informative about transport and connections. My room was large with a fantastic city view. The hotel is super clean, and it's also located above a shopping/food mall which is very convenient. I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever lucky enough to return to Hong Kong.

Hotel facilities are aged. Wifi connection does not work in room. Fridge was out of order. No bedside socket. Bedding was not comfortable. Overall acceptable but would not choose to stay in there again.

Every time we visited Hong Kong, we would stay in Prudential Hotel because of their location closed to all our activities and within our budget. The MTR station was at the basement of the building and many bus stops in front of the hotel at street level. The taxi fare to the rail station to China was low also. The staffs were well trained , polite and efficient. Regretfully they also no longer to offer the in room wireless phone.

Hotel has great prices, Excellent location, Clean and spacious room, the pool is on top of the roof. Very convenient to take the MTR to different places in Hong-Kong. However during our stay, the reader in the lift was not reading the room key card, it worked only after several attempts.

had stay in Prudential Hotel since decades ago. This time was the worst for while taking the lift to room access. The reader in the lift will forever not reading the room key card. It does applies to all hotel guests as well. Everyone will cramp in the lift to try each and one another card to see which will works.

Stayed here for a week in November. Check in was reasonably quick and friendly. We had a room with a balcony overlooking Nathan Road. To get to the bed you had to climb the spiral staircase up into a sort of loft. Just be careful you dont hit your head on the bottom part of the staircase. We hung a shirt off it so it was easier to see. The bed was very comfortable and all the linen was good. The room was reasonably soundproof - you couldnt hear the protesters or sirens from outside maybe the aircon noise helped to block it out. We had great views of the protestors from our balcony in Nathan Road on the 18 November. The bathroom facilities were good. reading other reviews re bottled water - we received two complimentary bottles every day. We also found the wifi to be excellent (maybe depends what you are used to). No dropouts and fast. The pool area was lovely but perhaps need to more than one umbrella for shade. We had breakfast included and found it enjoyable. A good range of food available and a chef to cook your eggs. Everything was clean and tidy. Housekeeping were good. In fact one day we went back to our room and housekeeping was inside. She asked if she could see our room key and actually made sure it worked. Good for security as we've stayed at other hotels and housekeeping just let you in and take things without even checking. The location was good. Staff friendly. Overall we had a good stay.

Compared to many hotels in the same location this hotel has great prices. Excellent location, in the heart of all the action ! Nathan road is amazing you will find everything you need at walking distance. You wont even need to use the MTR... Rooms are clean and spacious (compared to most rooms in Hong kong). Staff very helpful and responsive. We would definetly recommend this hotel for other travellers.

We stayed there two nights in early December and four nights in late December so I feel we have a pretty good sense of this hotel. 1. Good location with easy access to MTR (Jordan underneath), buses, taxis, restaurants, exchange places and shopping. Uber pick up easy too. 2. Rooms are fine. They were clean and housekeeping was responsive if we wanted something. Beds and pillows were a little hard for my personal comfort but not terrible. It's funny from some TA reviews over inconsistency over receiving bottled water. It happened to us as one of our rooms got water while the other one didn't. Reviewers are correct about WiFi. Speed is slow. Better in the lobby. They could cheaply correct this by installing better routers on each floor. Their phones in the room were retro in the sense they are rechargeable cordless. Not good for hotels in my opinion as the one in my room has been overused over the years and the power contact was bad. They would have been better off with the old hard line ones. Don't expect much in the way of TV. You get about twenty random 20 channels. 3. Front desk staff are professional and competent but were not personable. They will answer questions directly and give you accurate information. They just don't seem to be too happy. I do wonder if the protests have somewhat affected their behavior and attitude 4. Good value compared to other HK hotels. Rates are less everywhere due to the protests and less travelers into the city. 5. Looking for a good hot pot - Giant Seafood Hot Pot in London Plaza. 6. Inexpensive Breakfast - Food Republic in basement of Prudential or Cafe de Coral (5 minutes). 7. Protests - we did experience some on New Year's eve as some walked by on Nathan Road in front of the hotel, but nothing to worry about. I would not consider this area to be a high risk location. 8. I have a pet peeve with the bathroom shower design. It has this half glass partition in place of a shower curtain. The water splashes out and also spills over onto the lip of the tub which results in water on the floor. There is a water drain nearby. They could solve the problem with a long rubber siding along the tub. Wouldn't cost much. Last comment: I would upgrade my rating on this hotel if they would change a few things. The owners should be concerned with the aging of the hotel and should invest in better technology and renovate the rooms a bit. They could charge more if they did this in my opinion. I also sense the culture of the staff would improve if this happened. However, I must admit if I were the owners of this hotel I might be hesitant to invest in the building with the current instability of the government.
