The InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong garners commendation for its spacious rooms that boast striking harbour vistas, though the decor may feel a touch outdated for some. Guests have called out the hotel's exceptional cleanliness and the attentive housekeeping. Service at this hotel is often highlighted for the staff's professionalism and warmth.
While the atmosphere blends classic elegance with a hint of antiquated charm, the central location is appreciated, despite the trek to the MTR. The hotel's amenities, especially the club lounge, are frequently praised, offering value that many guests see as justifying the cost.

Hotel's Favourite
Always a pleasure to stay here. We were upgraded to a harbor view suite as part of the Ambassador
Privilege. The hotel is outstanding where service is concerned, be it reception staff, bellboy, doormen,
all eager to help, and with a smile. We also like very much the location as it is walkable to the busy
part of TST without being in the thick of it!
Thank you.

We spent three nights in a premium room with two beds and harbour view on the 9th floor. Both room and bathroom were spacious with an elegant decor (marble bathroom). The beds were comfortable and the view towards Victoria Harbour was stunning, in particular after dark with the red sail junk boats moving to and fro in front of the glittering skyline... Housekeeping was perfect. The breakfast buffet was varied and without any request from our side the staff took effort to find us a nice window table on day 2 and 3...
We loved sipping a drink in the lobby or the adjacent bar when returning from our excursions.
While it is of course tempting to discover HongKong's restaurants we had at least one dinner at the hotel opting for the Cantonese cuisine. Regrettably Peking duck had not been available (advance order required) but dumplings, roasted goose, prawns and shrimps had been a tasty substitute and I just loved the mango pudding fish...
The location is close to malls, museums and the Star Ferry Terminal to Hongkong Island. The hotel is not far from East Tsim Sha Tsui MRT Station and for airport transfer you can take the MRT Airport Express to Kowloon and change there to the free hotel shuttle bus K3.
One minor shortcoming: Make sure to have a room on a higher floor if you are sensitive to traffic noise as there is an express way between hotel and harbour and the panoramic windows are not quite sound-proof.

Dear Hermann M, Thank you for choosing InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong and for sharing the details of your stay. Delighted to learn of your wonderful experience and that you enjoyed the magnificent views of Victoria Harbour from your guest room. Also pleased to know that you found our beds to be comfortable as we are always investing in the highest quality of mattress as we know how important a good nights sleep is. It is also very pleasing to learn that our Housekeeping was perfect and that you enjoyed the quality and variety of our breakfast with its wide range of Western and Asian cuisines. We are also happy that you visited our award winning Cantonese restaurant Hoi King Heen and enjoyed the dumplings, roasted goose, prawns, shrimps and the mango pudding fish. As you have experienced our hotel is ideally located close to many restaurants, bars and shopping malls and also only a short walk to the famous Star Ferry Pier and to the MTR Metro Stations. The K3 shuttle bus also connects our hotel to Kowloon station for the Airport Express train. Thank you again for choosing our hotel and we are all looking forward to welcoming you again in the very near future. I reached Hong Kong early morning after a very tiring flight, at the intercontinental grand Stanford check in time is 2 pm so I had to wait in the lobby before I could be shown to my room, I requested an early check in but it wasn’t possible due to busy season. But the front desk executive gave us coupons for a couple of drinks which was polite. Rooms are nice and clean. We had a city view.
The bed was super comfortable after a tiring flight. Full marks for the Mattress quality. Bedsheets, towels, linens everything was really soft and new. Bathroom amenities were top class. Mineral water was replenished daily. The housekeeping staff can only understand basic English but they are very efficient. Breakfast buffet was enormous. Good taste and many options. Freshly bottled cold pressed juices were a delight. Very less Indian food options but nonetheless everything was good. Fast wifi, helpful concierge, travel desk was helpful in booking Disneyland tickets etc
Good location, situated in the prime area with good connectivity for cabs, subway etc. a lot of good Indian restaurants and money changers are at walking distance
We stayed here for 5 nights and it was indeed very comfortable

Intercon Grand Stanford HK is my go-to hotel for my regular business trips to Hong Kong throughout the year. It's well located, in a less-chaotic part of town but still central enough to MTR stations. Service is consistent, extremely efficient (love that about the HK style!), and staff in concierge have been very helpful to my colleagues and me when it comes to storing brochures from trip to trip, which is much appreciated.
In terms of the hotel, the rooms are beautifully furnished and feel cosy and spacious for HK standards. The bathroom amenities are some of the best in Asia, and shower has extreme pressure which is great.
Breakfast is also a real standout at this hotel. Standout items include bagels (proper, boiled bagels, not simply donut-shaped pieces of bread!), smoked salmon, proper cream cheese (not sour cream as an excuse), a consistent offering of fresh strawberries and blueberries, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff at breakfast remember us from stay to say, including our corner lounge location where we prefer to eat breakfast.

+1
This is my very first time to stay in a Intercontinental Hotel after being a Spire member of the Loyalty Program. With the latest promotion package, I decided to stay for a night for another birthday celebration at this property and certainly it was a memorable one.
I would wish to show my appreciation to Kitty of the Guest experience team, Diana of the Front Office and Simon, the Duty Manager who arranges a big surprise for me! A suite with gorgeous harbour view together with birthday gifts of a champaign, chocolates and fruit platter and chocolate-coated strawberries! The strawberries are really delicious.
They personally greeted me during check-in and briefed me about the hotel, including the special sanitizing arrangement. There was even a sanitizing seal at the suite door and a sanitization kit with masks, alcohol wipe and hand wash. That’s very sweet and make guests feeling secured.
I have ordered in-room breakfast and it was enjoyable to hv breakkie next to the harbour.
Although the pool and gym is close due to the pandemic, the entire experience is certainly one of the best in an IHG property! Highly recommended.

We stayed last week as part of a birthday celebration, and as always had a wonderful time!
Obviously it is sad to not be able to go into the club lounge as we would normally, but the hotel and staff made sure we had everything we could need sent to our room instead. We were able to order food from the club lounge supper buffet (Fish goujons, spring rolls, samosas etc. On top of that the F and B manager Lars had some cocktails sent up to the room as well which was very kind!
Also, as it was my birthday, the managers kindly organised cakes/ whisky/ treats to be sent to the room, and they were delicious.
The room was very clean as always, and the whole hotel and staff clearly take the virus precautions very seriously, ensuring temperature checks were taken and hand sanitisers were available everywhere we went. We were also happy to see all the QR codes for the gov track and trace programme clearly visible in all the areas of the hotel we visited.
On top of that the hotel has a number of little cleaning robots that are making their way around the different areas of the hotel. I think these robots should have their own instagram accounts... updating their daily cleaning challenges. :P
The buffet breakfast was enjoyed in both the main restaurant (M) and in the club lounge. The main restaurant has more options to choose from, however if you are looking for a more basic breakfast and a quiet sit down, then the club lounge is also very nice! The eggs Benedict from the club lounge is one of the best we have ever had.
As ever, a hotel is only as good as the staff it employs, and the staff at the intercon make it what it is. They are determined in making sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, from the club lounge staff who ensure everything we need is catered to. To the lads working in Tiffany's who are a delight to be around. Not forget the team working in the M restaurant, who go so above and beyond, making sure we have our favourite things to eat, even if they don't have it as a buffet option that day!
A special mention for Mr Drummond, Lars and Mimi, who as always took such good care of us. We would live at the hotel if we could, so grateful to all they do for us when we stay.

My boyfriend and I had our first staycation here. We booked the 'Dine and stay' offer which included 1 night stay, Cafe on M dinner buffet, buffet breakfast, early check-in at 12pm and late check-out at 3pm.
We didn't get an upgrade automatically, but we politely asked if it was possible and the front desk staff was doing his best to make it possible. We got an upgrade from a city view room to a harbour view room. My boyfriend and I really wanted to have a bathtub in the room and wouldn't have mind to pay extra for an upgrade to a room with bathtub. The staff managed to find a harbour view room with bathtub but he mentioned that it was on the 4th floor. We didn't mind this and were grateful for the arrangements made.
The room was lovely and although you can hear the traffic below, there was a lot less traffic at night and we had a good night sleep.
There's a footbridge right next to the hotel that crosses the road to the promenade. My boyfriend and I had a lovely walk from the promenade towards Whampoa to play bowling in the afternoon.
We noticed there was no hair shampoo or body wash shampoo in the room. These things in the room should have been checked in advance for a 5-star hotel. I called "Instant service". The service wasn't so instant and I had to call twice before Housekeeping came with the shampoos.
Other than that, our overall stay was really pleasant, especially when the package included buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

we booked 3 nights here in start of December we arrived In hong kong 3 days before out check in and traveled to Macau and the hotel was nice enough to keep out bags there so we will not have to carry all of them to macau so that was very nice of them.
the problem we had was with check in the receptionist advised us that they didn't have a room with fool harbour views that we already booked 6 months in advance and paid for (we were even platinum ambassadors member ) so they will give us a room with side views. we were not happy to say at least but think got worse very soon I told the receptionist that we would like to have the room we booked and prepaid for 6 months in advance and he told me that my booking was not for a full harbour view room and he was upgrading me to the side views I showed him my confirmation saying full harbour views on it and he kept saying that I should be happy because he is making me a favor. not wanting to fight we let them took us to our room that was not what we paid for but we did tell them that we are not happy and I would like to talk to the manager . we got to the room that was really fine if that is what you paid for we unpack and getting ready to sleep when we got a call that a full harbour view room was now available! how is it possible the room was not available before we check in at 8 or 9 pm! we had unpack all our staff put everything in the safe box and we had a 7.00 tour starting tomorrow ! we advised them we will stay were we are as we don't have time or energy to move the person talking to us was nice and kind and he apologised for the other person that keep insisting that we didn't book the room we booked and said that they had a problem with their system. the hotel was nice the location was what we wanted and the rest of the staff (expect this receptionist) were nice. not really sure if we would stay here in our next trip to Hong Kong as its usual that people want to get what they pay for

Taking advantage of InterContinental's slashed hotel rates during the pandemic, we recently enjoyed another long weekend staycation at the Grand Stanford hotel in TST East. Reservation was made directly through the hotel's website where we found the best available rates. Confirmation email was received immediately, check-in was very fast this time as well.
The hotel has a quality gym, nice pool, several good restaurants and a great lobby bar. During this visit, we enjoyed a very good pizza from the Theo Mistral restaurant and enjoyed two visits to the Tiffany Bar on the ground floor. The bartender was in good form mixing up excellent Manhattans on both evenings.
Beyond the hotel, there are loads of restaurants, coffee shops and a few other bars in this area of the city. You are right on the waterfront as well and can leisurely walk all the way to the Star Ferry Pier enjoying lovely harbour and skyline views and the nice promenade atmosphere. The TST East MTR Entrance is 3-4 minutes west from the property while the Hung Hum Station is 7-8 minutes walk to the northeast.
Rooms are spacious, well decorated and offer good views. On this occasion we had a city view of the garden just outside the hotel. Importantly, the bed was large and very comfortable, allowing quality rest throughout our stay. There was plenty closet and drawer space, seating chair, work desk with a rolling chair, plenty of outlets and a flatscreen TV. The A/C and wifi worked perfectly throughout our stay. Room had the expected hair dryer, toiletries, bath robes, ironing board, safe, umbrella, kettle and a stocked fridge and bar area. Bathroom was spacious, shower water pressure very good and housekeeping was friendly and of a high standard.
Overall, it was another very good stay at the InterContinental Grand Stanford, especially given the present promotion packages and outstanding room rates, making this a very good staycation option for those interested in staying in the TST East area of the city. We were glad to have been able to take advantage of these deals again.

Due to pandemic for over a year, I chose to be back this hotel which I missed in past couples year. Nothing much has been changed. But you could see the sanitizer all around you, the nice thing is the floor lift landing also have one so you can sanitize after coming out of the lift. The service level did not drop due to lesser staff as you could see when you step into the hotel. All staff still very polite and you can feel their willingness to help and make your stay be a pleasant one.
I chose a staycation package including dinner and breakfast. The food quality still remain the same high level. Staff in restaurants are all very friendly and attentive. Pool is opened with limited number of people can get in which is understandable per government policy. Check out is awesome since all has been paid online when I booked the package. What I just need to do is drop the keys into the black color box at lobby - express checkout box. All in all, a decent and happy stay... Will be back around summer time if still cannot travel out of HK.
