We stayed last week as part of a birthday celebration, and as always had a wonderful time! Obviously it is sad to not be able to go into the club lounge as we would normally, but the hotel and staff made sure we had everything we could need sent to our room instead. We were able to order food from the club lounge supper buffet (Fish goujons, spring rolls, samosas etc. On top of that the F and B manager Lars had some cocktails sent up to the room as well which was very kind! Also, as it was my birthday, the managers kindly organised cakes/ whisky/ treats to be sent to the room, and they were delicious. The room was very clean as always, and the whole hotel and staff clearly take the virus precautions very seriously, ensuring temperature checks were taken and hand sanitisers were available everywhere we went. We were also happy to see all the QR codes for the gov track and trace programme clearly visible in all the areas of the hotel we visited. On top of that the hotel has a number of little cleaning robots that are making their way around the different areas of the hotel. I think these robots should have their own instagram accounts... updating their daily cleaning challenges. :P The buffet breakfast was enjoyed in both the main restaurant (M) and in the club lounge. The main restaurant has more options to choose from, however if you are looking for a more basic breakfast and a quiet sit down, then the club lounge is also very nice! The eggs Benedict from the club lounge is one of the best we have ever had. As ever, a hotel is only as good as the staff it employs, and the staff at the intercon make it what it is. They are determined in making sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, from the club lounge staff who ensure everything we need is catered to. To the lads working in Tiffany's who are a delight to be around. Not forget the team working in the M restaurant, who go so above and beyond, making sure we have our favourite things to eat, even if they don't have it as a buffet option that day! A special mention for Mr Drummond, Lars and Mimi, who as always took such good care of us. We would live at the hotel if we could, so grateful to all they do for us when we stay.…
Booked a club full harbour view room for new years eve back in December. Package included breakfast and dinner. The service at the club lounge was exemplary and attentive. Felt extremely welcomed by the staff at the lounge at all times even on such a busy night. Staff at breakfast were also very accommodating and arranged a nice seat for us. The harbour view was also quite lovely. Unfortunately, those were the only good parts of our entire stay. Here were the major shortcomings: (1) king bed was actually just two twin beds pushed together. Horrible gap in the middle and also meant that the bedside table was completely out of reach from both sides. Couldn't even reach for a bottle of water or my phone in the night. Our high floor bathtub request was granted but the very basic requirement was a king bed... We could have at least been informed or given a choice to choose. (2) The quality of the in-room dinner provided was poor. But that was far from the main issue. I had requested for a dining cart for us to enjoy the harbour view but was told it was unavailable. We were told we had to eat on the work desk which faced the wall. I then asked for a chair and was told we already had a sofa. The sofa was incredibly low and also meant we had to eat separately as the tiny sofa table only fits one plate. I had to turn around in my chair and hold the plate in my hand to eat so I could face my girlfriend and not look at the wall (see photo). It was ridiculously uncomfortable and we were both at uneven heights. Moreover, we asked for a ice bucket for the champagne and was told by the hotel didn't have any ice buckets for it?!Completely bewildering and disappointing. We would have expected to be able to comfortably enjoy our dinner on new years eve and soak in the harbour view we booked but it just seemed like a impossible request and no thought or care was given by the staff. (3) The pancake station was also a disaster. Tried the made to order pancake twice but both times were completely undercooked inside. Not entirely sure the chef knew how to make them or was just rushing the service. (4) hardware was very disappointing. no usb outlet, no more HDMI lines, unstable towel holder in the shower. If it wasn't for the attentive and welcoming service provided by the staff (concierge, lounge, and restaurant) this review would have been no stars. I must say, concierge thoroughly impressed me the moment I stepped in and I really appreciated how the lounge reception staff recognised us by name. I understand this was a busy night for the hotel and we would have understood if there were some minor defects but overall this was a overwhelmingly disastrous stay that tainted our new years eve. Hotel was completely underprepared at guests' expense. No thought was given to our experience in the room. Everything outside the room was excellent but that just simply isn't good enough. Maybe they are more up to standard when they are less busy but we would be extremely hesitant to return.…
When we arrived the room, I found that is hair on the bed, I requested to change the room. After changed the room, I found the TV remote not function properly, I call for help, they fixed it very quickly. Although it is not too smooth, I am very appreciate for the quick response to the staff and the duty manager. I stay at the hotel for my anniversary, the cake is very delicious!
I stayed on CNY eve for the package “Savor 24” and it was such a delight. Starting with the decoration at the lobby, you can immediately feel the CNY vibe. The check in staff was fast and there was no queue at all, gave me a smooth check in experience. We were given two welcome drink coupons which can be used at Tiffany bar or lobby lounge. We had two glasses of sparling wine at the lobby lounge and enjoyed the high ceiling and decorations of the lobby. We were upgraded to a harbour view king bed room. The view is awesome! We were staying at 12 floor and the harbuor view was unobstructed. However since the hotel is located right next to the road, we can hear the noise of the cars though it did not really affect our stay or our sleep. The room’s design is simple but I like they put a lot of mirrors inside the room which extends the room visually. The bed and pillows were comfortable but the king size bed was combined by two twins beds. I expect more (a real king/queen size bed) from a 5-star hotel. We requested a room with bathtub which was granted. However, the bathroom itself is of small size and there is no separate shower room than bathtub. A pack of bathsalt will cost you 20 HKD unless you book a suite according to the house-keeping staff. The package includes a tea buffet, in-room dining from their western or Chinese menu, and a breakfast on the next day. All of them were above the standard. The tea buffet and breakfast were both at Café on M. Tea buffet was relatively simple with 6-7 hot dishes, salad, fruit and 6-7 desserts and unlimited Haagen-Dazs. The breakfast had a wide selection and they even had sparkling wine in the morning! Even though the restaurant was busy the staffs were always ready to help and I appreciate so much especially they were working on the first day of Chinese New Year. The in-room dining was surprisingly good. As it was CNY eve I order the Chinese menu to be served in-room at 8.30pm. The food arrive on time and the dishes were still hot. They tasted delicious and the portion was big. I was super happy with my reunion dinner. I like my experience throughout even before my stay started. The email communication with the team was smooth and most of my requests were fulfilled. We asked them to put a yoga mat and a set of dumbbells inside our rooms which was well-prepared before we check in. It was a special day for us and the staff acknowledged it and delivered complimentary desserts and cake to us. This was very heart-touching. Overall I will highly recommend this hotel. Even though it was a busy day the hotel tried its best to accommodate and gave me such an enjoyable experience. The harbour view is definitely a big bonus for this hotel.…
For a “5 stars “ hotel provide a nice festive staycation package , the anniversary celebration included breakfast and in room dinner, club lounge for suite room guests. Overall experience good , credit goes to the spacious suite room and the beautiful water view. Checkin procedure disappointed may due to long queue in X’mas day, no privilege even suite room guests. Sitting room was little smelly might be in room dinning facilities all around. Chefs paid efforts on the quality of dishes but still have space on improvement. Good breakfast at lounge with friendly staffs. Little over charged on 2 nights suite stay, anyway good try on this hotel.
