The hotel loved it and I would visit it again. Pros: great location! It is in an interesting location near the subway, but no noise is heard from the street. Lots of cafes and shops nearby. Great location to get to know the city. You can take the airport bus directly to the hotel. The room is good size by local standards. The room had 2 adapters under local electrical outlets.
Cons: There's no fridge in the room, and the safe didn't work. In the 3 days I've been there, never cleaned up. There was no hand soap and water was coming out of the shower. Overall, the hotel liked it. It was nice and clean inside.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The location is very convenient because it is very near the MTR station (Jordan Station) as well as the most famous Nathan Road wherein many shops, restaurants and stalls are located.

We stayed on the 13th floor of the hotel and have a nice view in our window. The hotel room is just right for singles or couples like us who just spend most of the time touring around Hong Kong and consider our hotel room only for a place to sleep. We are also very happy with the friendly and accommodating environment by the staff of this hotel. They welcome us with a smile and were very helpful in every way they can do.

I have spent 5D4N in Hong Kong last June with friends and stay in Mayfair. The Hotel is located is very conveniently near to the Nathan MTR and surrounded with shops, restaurants, cafes and etc. The temple street night market is just within a short walking distance.

We are satisfied with our rooms as it is not as small as what we have expected from the reviews that we read. My friends do complain that the air-con is very cold even after adjusting to a higher temperature in their room but the one in my room works fine. The carpet is not very clean and you can see the stain. However, the bed-sheets and blankets were white and stainless (very important). The bathroom is clean except the sliding door which not be locked. We did have problem with some throttling of the tap in the shower. There was a small television set in the corner, with few channels for selection. But at least we get information on what is going on in the town.

The staffs are friendly and helpful. They were well versed in English and always serve with smile.

Overall, the stay is a pleasant one. I may go back to this hotel when I visit Hong kong again.

Largos has considerate staff. We had an early flight and reached the hotel before 10 am. We were just hoping to store our luggage and explore the city while waiting for check in time, but the nice receptionist lady said our room was ready and we got an very early check in without even requesting for it. She also gave us the corner room which is a little more spacious than the normal room, again a nice gesture that is more than we hoped for. Room was clean and room amenities are sufficient for the price that we pay. Maybe if there were a refrigerator, it would be more convenient. Location is superb, a few steps from Jordan MTR station, airport bus stop and lots of eating place nearby. Very good value considering how much most other hotels in the city center area charge per night during weekends.

The Mayfair Garden is just a stone's throw from Nathan Road and a beehive of shops and restaurants. The room, however, is the size of the average home bathroom. The Bathroom is the size of the average home WC, lacking a closing door for privacy - a sliding one is the only protection from prying eyes.

The room key (when given the right one) is tricky to work and relies not on an actual key mechanism, nor a swipe card, but a plastic tab with holes punched in it which requires jiggling to work.
The television channels offered are awful by Asian standards.

Considering the price of the room puts this is in the middle range of Hong Kong hotels, much more should be expected than is delivered. The YMCA in Wan Chai was more spacious (relative to Hong Kong rooms) and offered more features all at a lower price. And it had a bathroom door.

The only redeeming quality is the proximity to Nathan road and the short distance required to get to places like Jordan MTR station and the harbour.

We stayed here during our recent family tour to Hong Kong.

For starters the hotel is located down a dingy alley way but is close to the metro ( just a minutes walk away). The breakfast is cheap but is so bad its not even worth the little money you pay.
The rooms are tiny and you have barely any room to move. Just enough for the two beds!!
The reception was easily the worse. There don't help with any questions you have about the city and where to go. The staff are inexperienced and know very little about tourist places to see, go and do!!
And what was worse is that they took a deposit from us through our credit card on check in and when we were checking out just manually crossed off the receipt and gave it back without doing an official cancellation slip through the machine. And expected us to call overseas to our bank to verify that its cancelled. We spoke to the manager about it who was extremely unhelpful and didn't understand what we were trying to say.
Generally I thought it was very unprofessional. If you are going to take my money as a deposit the lease they can do is have the system to cancel it official on checkout. They just didn't have the facilities.

The hotel room is small and the toilet has poor drainage. Expect to stand in a pool of water while bathing. Average wait is 30 min for water to drain completely after each bath. The toilet flush was also faulty. Carpets and curtains were dirty and sticky. No daily replacement of toilet supplies so expect to call if you need toilet paper. Didn't feel it was comfortable even when we paid more for a deluxe room. Staff were also rude and can't speak proper English.

I understand that the hotels in HK are small, but this hotel is small and very run down. The toilet is so puny that even a petite person like me feels that it is a tad too squeezy.

There are better hotels in HK. The only good thing is the location.

Stayed 4 nights at Largos during my holidays in Hong Kong just last week (Aug 2008). My friend and I had a fantastic stay. We were greeted with polite reception, who tried their best to meet our room preferences. Upon arrival, my friend's luggage's passcode lock was faulty and refused to open. Desperate, we went down to the front desk to borrow a plier or screwdriver we could break the lock with. Instead, they offered to send a handyman to help us open the bag. He opened the lock within minutes.
Throughout our stay, the hotel personnel attended to all our problems immediately, may it be setting our TV channels, or recommending the best places to eat. When we left, they even hailed a cab for us.
As for room condition, it was clean and brightly lit, which gave us a comfortable feeling. The room was smaller than we expected, but sufficient for us.
Location was very very strategic, right in front of Nathan Road. We could walk to Tsim Sha Tsui and Yau Ma Tei from the hotel. The MRT is barely a stone's throw away. There is also a very good Chinese cafe around the corner, with very good bubble tea. We grabbed a cup on the way back to the hotel every night.
Overall, we're very very happy with the hotel.

we stay for 3 nights at this hotel. booked a double room, indeed it was small but clean. the room was still cold even i has switched off the air-con.

I must recommend this to all, location was great and convenient. MTR was just right the corner, and with direct bus to and fro the airport at the bus stop opposite the street. near distance between timshashui, ladies street etc.

Hotel room price is cheap as compared with other hotels along nathan road and should book via online hotels booking website.

I will book again with this hotel in future.

Take the A22 bus and get off at the 4th stop (Chi Wo Street, Jordan). Head to the right and the hotel is on the corner of the street behind Starbucks.
