Island Shangri-La Hong Kong is a welcoming luxury hotel in the heart of the city. It soars 56 floors above Hong Kong's most prestigious shopping, cultural and business addresses, with memorable views of the Peak and Victoria Harbour. We are excited to share that in our continuous efforts to elevate the Island Shangri-La experience, we are currently carrying out some refurbishment work in the hotel. While every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience to our guests, we do expect some noise disturbance from Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 9pm, Saturdays between 9am and 6pm and Sundays between 12 noon and 6pm. Horizon Club Lounge is located on the 7/F and open from 7am to 9pm daily.

Check in was smooth, when we arrived the receptionist Haley was super nice and welcoming, that makes us feel so warm. The well trained Horizon club team leader Candy does a great job at managing the lounge, services are fantastic and all the staff provide warm and friend services, Sita, Ronsa, Joyce, Jane, Loe, Leah were so welcoming that made us feel like Home, Geoffrey was good at cocktail mixing that we enjoyed much. GR Team Ivan introduced his new colleague for us during cocktail session. Thanks again GR Team Hayley, we were so delighted to be greeted with a special gift presented, she always friendly and approachable. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

My husband made a last minute reservation to stay at the Island Shangri-la to celebrate our 25th anniversary. From the Reception staff to the staff who brought the extra charger - they were all lovely and greeted us with anniversary wishes. And we got complimentary wine! And since it was the hubby's bday yesterday we also got a delicious mini cake! And flowers! Such a sweet touch and we felt very special. They renovated since the last time we went and the room was perfect! I loved the new bathroom set up (separate powder room and bath area) as well as the beautiful tiles and decor of the room. Super clean and I really liked the filtered hot/cold water dispenser now in the mini bar area. So great for the environment and we can hydrate easily. Loved our stay. Will be back again soon. …

Avoid checking in at night as there is only one person working at the desk whilst everyone else is sitting in the back room. Expect a long waiting time and poor service attitude at night from this five-starred hotel.

Have stayed a few times. Imbecile at the front desk tried to give us a room partitioned off with another room on the side of the hotel despite having reserved bay view, this was quickly rectified. The hotel is now overrun with mainlanders (around 90%). Otherwise the hotel has a very nice style and housekeeping etc. is excellent.

We have stayed at the Shangri-La over the years, and one thing that remained constant is the great calibre of service. The staff always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel underwent recent renovations; the new rooms are chic and contemporary but perhaps missing a little of the old Shangri-la charm. Still, the new rooms and suites are lovely. The hotel Chinese restaurant and dinner buffet are well worth a visit too. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We had an exceptional stay at Island Shangri-La. We enjoyed our mini-family vacation and got to reunite after a year of being away. Pool and Change room attendants are very accomodating. Overall, they have exceeded my expectation.

Hotel gave me wrong set of keycards when I checked in. They had to send someone up to the floor to give me another set of keycards. Apparently the room number was off by a digit. Just prior that, they couldn't locate me on their Shangri-La Circle program despite I could show them email on this. I had booking issue but the hotel did give me a better room. However, during the second afternoon of my stay, my toilet bowl was flushing/ running water non stop and it even leaked water all the way into the room. They managed to clear this out that night but that night the flush continued to flush for an extended period of time. Last morning in hotel and used the toilet near the breakfast place and it can't flush properly so it was pretty gross. I feedback to the concierge and they thanked me for feedback. When I checked out, I provided the above feedback, the reception staff apologized but doesn't seem to take any further action or make any notes of what I shared. I mean they do make an effort to provide fair service & make good what went wrong but it is still lacking & I find it quite shocking that I had to experience the wrong keycards, leaking toilet and poor flushing system from established hotel chain Shangri-La.…

Stayed in one of thew newly renovated Club rooms. Clearly the renovation was well thought through as the rooms incorporate useful touches and amenities. Appreciated having the mirror in the shower stall and being able to connect my music to the bathroom's speakers via Bluetooth. Drinking water is now supplied via a dispenser eliminating the use the plastic bottles. USB-C and Qi charging is available. Didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff as I checked in at midnight and was out most of the time. But I have to say the hard product renovation was well executed.
