The was my first experience at The Peninsula Hotel and it will not be my last. The staff was so friendly, the food was prepared and served with care. The attention to every details was marvelous. For those traveling to or thru Hong Kong a stay this hotel is a must. At a minimum join them for High Tea to get a glimpse of what this establishment offers.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed three nights in hk with family after 2 weeks holiday in Japan. The peninsula isn't new but is of great make, rooms are confortable, the real stand out is the personalised concierge service the Peninsula provided, they made our stay hassle free especially when there were mandatory gov requirements to be met for inbound travellers. "Kit" from the concierge team made our stay memorable. We feel that Peninsula's service goes that little bit further than Aman tokyo and St Regis Osaka from our recent experience.

My Sister and me stayed on Mid August 2023 in The Peninsula Hong Kong. It was our last day of a five weeks trip in the far east, and we had a VERY LATE flight on the day after, so we were very glad to take advantage of the right of the "Peninsula Time" - that gave us a flexible check-out time, near the 22:00 hour, the day after we arrived and flew back home. We got the Grand Deluxe Harbour View Room, and the view is astounding and BREATH TAKING. The location of the hotel is perfect and near to almost every attraction that you want. For the first minute that you enter the room, you see that being almost 100 years in the hotel business, is shown in everything and every detail, and everything is perfect. The hotel is spectacular, and from the moment that we arrived everything went smoothly, efficiently and with a smile. The room is pure luxury. Spacious and equipped with all the modern comforts you could wish for (EVEN a fax and a printer), with a nice control tablet (a few in the room - so you don't [God forbid...] "have to go far") with lots of connectivity options. The bathroom is very spacious, with all the ordinary bathroom amenities, like tooth brush, tooth paste, etc. but in an enlarged sized and branded for The Peninsula, with a HUGE thick and pleasant towels. The 8th Floor pool, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Hong Kong's skyline, and is a MUST DO when you're a guest in the hotel. Breakfast at the restaurant is a delight. SPECTACULAR and has many options for every taste. I must mention the hotel staff, from check-in to check-out, everything is done with a smile. Just a pleasure. JUST FANTASTIC. JUST HEAVEN. MUST COME AGAIN.

We stayed at the Superior suite for celebrating birthday and it is such an amazing experience. Check in is quick at the Reception and a special thanks to Desmond who is so welcoming and attentive, making our stay very memorable. We very much appreciate that the birthday amenities are set up beautifully in the suite before our arrival and the suite looks classic and elegant. Staff at lobby are very attentive and helpful, bringing us an umbrella before we requested for one.

What à great hôtel. People take care of you all day long. There is always à special attention from the housekeeping. We had a magnificent view on Hong Kong. we loved the chinese restaurant and the bar on the first floor, so british. The buffet breakfast is of course great but the Breakfast is the lobby is just a Dream. A special thank to Juliette from the Check in Who has been very helpfull. Second time is this hôtel and not the last.

I don’t feel it needs a review as others will have done a better job than I, but indulge me. We booked ahead the Rolls to pick us from the airport as I am a car nerd. They have 14 identical green and tan models; almost 20 years old and 400k miles but immaculate and well driven. We arrived at 0800 and our room was ready with breakfast and the greeting was better than I will get on return home from this trip. It turns out Hannah was key to this. A very helpful, friendly and kind individual - as all the team are. The rooms are the best I have stayed in. Modern with every touch you’d expect and more. For example there was always ice in the bucket in the room. And a full sized printer if needed. Breakfast - we went to the buffet three times and the lobby twice. Both very good and both as good as each other. I probably preferred the peace of the lobby. The bar on the first floor was great; tiny with a pianist and two excellent bartenders who were living their best lives! The showcase restaurant - Felix - had stunning views and great food. Probably lack a little something but was still exceptional. The staff could not have been better. I could keep on going but I know I’m starting to bore you. Thank you to all the staff. It was an exceptional holiday.

This is a grand hotel with a large and luxurious lobby, tastefully decorated with elegant & posh interiors. We were here to enjoy the afternoon high tea. A set for 2 pax is HKD 987 including tax. The canapés were so pretty & delicate and we absolutely enjoyed everything they served. One small down side is that they missed out our cold cantaloupe melon soup until we asked for it as we saw they everyone else had that item except us. Otherwise I would have given a perfect score. Overall, this is a great place to hang out with friends over a cuppa and be soaked in the beautiful atmosphere.

A must-do for anyone who visits/lives in HK. The Peninsula afternoon tea experience is not just about the great food but also the service and historical ambience. Thank you to Sarah and her team for your warm hospitality and for taking good care of my family. Sarah’s introduction to the hotel and its connection to HK’s history: made us feel a strong connection to the hotel and the city. The service was also flawless and with great attention to detail (e.g., coasters were always placed with the Peninsula branding facing us, champagne was proactively refilled etc.). We cannot wait to be back for another great experience.

The Lobby at Peninsula is always my favourite place for meeting, lunch, or tea. As we all know, the queue is inevitable. I recently discover a haven of sweets and drinks in the gift and souvenir shop in the basement. This is my second time to visit this special cafe with my students. They all love it. The cakes are beautifully displayed in the glass jewel box, and the drink's list is impressive. I must say something about the service. Ruby is one of the service team members, and she seems to have a photographic memory. When I went there the second time, she immediately remembered me and showed me to the exact same table I sat before and even remembered what I ordered. Is it AI or ChatGPT? She is much better than that. I told my students that Ruby just defined what service meant. Coffee shop is everywhere in Hong Kong. It is not difficult to find one, but the coffee shop with extraordinary service is rare, and this Peninsula gift shop in the basement is definitely the haven of sweets and great service. My students and I are impressed. Thanks Ruby again for her wonderful service.

Everything was a "NO" at the Peninsula hotel. Kids were not allowed to dine in some of the restaurants. Kids were not permitted to dine at Chesa and Gaddis and the rooftop restaurant, Felix. We requested to have a longer stay at the hotel as on various platforms (including the hotel's own website and other booking sites), saying that "beginning January 2021, guests at all Peninsula properties can arrange to have your room ready as early as 6:00 am on your arrival date and check out as late as 10:00 pm on your departure date, at no extra charge". Our room was the Deluxe Suite, which had a living room and dinning area inside the room. We requested to have the above privilege, but we were told that the check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 12pm. There was no photograph allowed at the swimming pool area. What a pity that we couldn't capture the nice view of it. I mean even if we just took photos of just us, wouldn't it be permitted? The visit to the helipad was only available from Mon to Thu. If you will be staying at Peninsula over the weekend, there is no chance for you to visit. I did not understand why the afternoon tea at the Lobby was so popular. It costed HK$898 for two people. But it was just a stack of finger sandwiches, scones and finger food. They were just bread. And people queued up for that? It's just very over-priced. At the lobby, a glass of milk/Horlicks/Ovaltine costed HK$98. At Imasa, Japanese restaurant, the toro was HK$690 for five pieces. If the hotel charged such a price, but not delivering a superb service. I really do not see why I will pay HK$98 for a glass of ovaltine (it's only HK$84 for a can of 800g of ovaltine in the supermarket).
