The JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong garners appreciation for its impeccable cleanliness and strategic location, which guests find convenient for shopping and exploring nearby attractions. The hotel's atmosphere is considered welcoming, with many compliments directed at the friendly staff, though some guests suggest the rooms could benefit from modernization and improved lighting.
While the executive lounge and fitness center are popular among guests, there are mixed feelings regarding the value, with some pointing out that dining and spa services may not fully align with luxury price points.

We recently had our first stay at JW Marriott Hong Kong, and we are delighted to be able to stay in this prime location and grateful for the outstanding service we received.
JW Marriott HK’s location is great, it immediately connected to a shopping mall with dining, shopping, and direct access to an MTR station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city.
From the moment we arrived, Mizuki at the front desk made us feel instantly at ease. He thoughtfully combined our two separate bookings, saving us from having to check in and out again, and ensuring a smooth, stress-free stay.
The Marriott app was quite useful. We were able to use it to communicate with staff and schedule housekeeping times. A special thanks to Klaris from the loyalty team and the housekeeping team on level 12 for keeping our room fresh and promptly addressing our requests. Their attention to detail was impressive, as they always noticed what needed to be restocked without us having to mention it.
During our stay, we visited the gym which had a variety of machines and tools for a full workout. It was great to be able to stick to my regular routine. Plus, there’s also fruit available, which was a thoughtful touch, as we ate some after the workout!
When it was time to depart, Bryan from the lobby team was the one who took the initiative, greeted us with a smile, took care of our luggage, and even accompanied us to the car, ensuring our comfort and making the farewell as pleasant as the arrival.
While the impeccable service, prime location, and thoughtful touches made this stay truly memorable, there are a few areas for improvement: (1) The rooms lack ceiling lights, relying only on floor and table lamps, which I found to be insufficient for proper lighting. As someone with a vision impairment, I had difficulty seeing clearly under dim lighting, especially with the dark carpet. It made navigating the room at night a bit challenging. (2) The air conditioning or HVAC system didn’t seem to be as powerful as expected. The room felt warmer than I would have liked, and despite adjusting the temperature settings, it didn’t reach the desired comfort level quality. (3) The water pressure in the shower was lower than expected. The flow was either too weak or too strong when adjusting to different settings, which made showering less enjoyable. This could easily be improved for a more satisfying experience.
Overall, JW Marriott Hong Kong is a stunning hotel, but the room could benefit from a few upgrades. Despite these minor issues, we are already looking forward to returning.

Our family had the pleasure to stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong for the new year’s eve. We were impressed by the attention to details and the impeccable service of the hotel staffs. Plus, the hotel is centrally located next to Admiralty subway station, and offers one of the best places in Hong Kong to view the firework on the Victoria Harbor. We are Bonvoy Titanium elite. Before our stay, we have submitted an upgrade request to use the night upgrade certificate. It is unfortunate that the upgrade request could not be honored as the suites are all sold out. However, we are super delighted to be upgraded to a corner room facing the Victoria harbor at high floor. The room offers a great view of the Victoria Harbor, and it is surreal to be able to watch the firework without crowd in your own room, and to rest without the need to fight the crowd. The hotel is centrally located in the Hong Kong island. It is connected to the Admiralty Harbor station, which is a transfer station for Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line, East Rail Line, South Island Line, which allows you to reach most top Hong Kong tourist attraction in one single train ride. For guests who have access to the executive lounge, the hotel offers hors d'oeuvre from 5:30-7:30pm, and breakfast from 6:30-10:30am, both at the executive lounge. As only half of the executive lounge is used by the hors d'oeuvre service (the rest is used as a restaurant), the seatting is very limited. If you can’t secure a seatting, you may have the option to pack foods at the executive lounge to consume at the hotel room. The seating condition is improved for the breakfast, as the entire lounge is available for breakfast service. We particularly enjoyed the dim sum offered at the lounge.

This property is located in the heart of Admiralty - a major transportation hub on HK Island. Just because The Peak, Repluse Bay, Stanley, and Causeway Bay are my must visit places in Hong Kong, this hotel’s location is perfect for our stay. The hotel has a number of top-rated restaurants and they are probably some of the best in town. Since Pacific Place is attached to the hotel, over there you will find endless of dining and shopping options available.
Everything is world class at this hotel, from the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff, giving us direction to check in or provide assistance with anything we need. Our room is well-equipped with thoughtful amenities such as Nespresso coffee, Twinings tea, and Aromatherapy bath amenities. The room has large floor to ceiling windows offering unobstructed views of the beautiful mountains and the towering hotels nearby.
My favourite spot got to be the pool and sun deck. Their large sun deck is truly an oasis for relaxation. With Fish Bar nearby for snacks and drinks, our afternoon is complete. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I just wish I had more time in Hong Kong to enjoy this lovely place.

We recently stayed at this hotel in October to celebrate our anniversary, expecting a luxurious experience befitting the 5-star rating and the $400 per night price tag. Unfortunately, the stay was far below expectations, starting with an outrageous discovery—the hotel served what they claimed was TWG tea, a renowned luxury brand, but it was clearly a fake. This is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber.
Moreover, we were repeatedly disturbed every morning at 8 AM with unnecessary phone calls regarding our breakfast order and everyday they call in the morning to ask if need clean the room. For a supposedly high-end establishment, this level of intrusion is not just unwelcome but entirely inappropriate.
The Executive Lounge was another disappointment. They exclusively served pork, leaving no alternative options for those who adhere to religious dietary restrictions. This lack of consideration for diverse guests, particularly for Muslims and Jews, is a glaring oversight in today’s hospitality standards.
Additionally, the rooms are outdated, seemingly stuck 20 years in the past, with no signs of renovation or modernization. The lack of innovative features, especially in room controls, made our stay uncomfortable—controls could only be accessed from one side of the bed, which was highly inconvenient.
Overall, our anniversary stay was a letdown. This hotel urgently needs to update its facilities, improve its services, and reconsider its offerings if it hopes to maintain any semblance of a luxury experience. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this property to others.

I have had a very dis satisfactory stay at the hotel. I am very unsure if I came back to Hongkong I’ll stay at the JW or not . I’ll see better options ..
- no personal touch in any part of the hotel (lobby/rooms/ lounge/pools) - limited in room dining menus , for the first time in any hotel in my life there was no pizza for the kids ; - executive lounge breakfast: same menu everyday no change or customisation as per guests - executive lounge drinks : average no cocktails etc - rooms : very very small and congested ! No upgrade provided despite both our guests being platinum elite and titanium elite - cleanliness : the rooms weren’t cleaned up to the mark, even basic folding of the clothes wasn’t there; basic housekeeping support in folding : as guest we expect some service from the room /housekeeping staff, the room continued to be a mess despite getting cleaned everyday. We were travelling with 3 kids and still no support was provided by staff for folding of the clothes we returned to a messy room everyday
Regards

My stay at the JW Marriott Hong Kong was enjoyable, but it didn’t quite live up to the 5-star rating it claims. The service was solid, and the hotel had a great location, but the overall experience felt more like a high-end 4-star rather than true luxury like other JW Marriott's I've stayed at in Miami, Dubai, Istanbul, and Anaheim.
The finishes in the room were a bit underwhelming compared to other JW Marriott properties I’ve stayed at, and the bathroom and shower, in particular, felt dated and not as refined as I expected. While the hotel was comfortable and well-maintained, it lacked the wow factor that typically comes with a top-tier luxury stay.
That said, the staff was friendly and professional, and the overall experience was still pleasant. If you’re looking for a good hotel in Hong Kong, this is still a solid choice—but if you’re expecting a true 5-star, ultra-luxurious experience, you might be a little disappointed.

The purpose of my trip to Hong Kong was for a post pandemic reunion so that my partner could finally meet up with his mother after over 3 years of being apart. It was also to celebrate an anniversary. As I wanted this to be a special moment for us all I booked two separate rooms at the JW Marriott Hong Kong. One room for us and another for his mom.
As a luxury hotel I expected service to be of a higher standard. There is defiantly an opportunity here. In particular with the ease of checking in and checking out (especially with having made multiple bookings). What I thought would have been an easy process ended up being a nightmare.
I am a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member and travel often. I don't usually have any issues and I almost never complain. That is until now....
I had booked two rooms with separate check in dates as both my partners mom and our flights to Hong Kong arrived on different days. We both were traveling from different counties overseas and my partner and I arrived a day earlier.
I used a combination of my Marriott Bonvoy points and credit card for the booking and payment of my room and thus had two bookings for a total of 8 nights. For my partners mothers room I had used my credit card for the booking and payment (a 6 night total stay).
Prior to booking both rooms and upon checking in I was assured by the hotel staff (via phone call, emails, as well as the front desk and club lounge desk staff) that I would receive points for all stays. I was told that I would only receive elite night credits for the nights/rooms in which I was the primary occupant. This I thought was a given and have no issues with. However, after I had checked out I found that I only received points for the shorter night stay which was that of my partners mom booking. I received only 6 nights elite night credits and the points for the value paid for their room only.
I tried reaching out to Marriot Bonvoy who had denied my claim of missing elite night credits and points stating that the the booking was already applied. After back and forth emails I was finally informed that starting August 2023 they would only grant points for the longer night stay for when multiple rooms were booked. This was very disappointing as I had planned this trip and booked the rooms well before this policy change and came into affect. It was also very disappointing as I routinely asked and confirmed with the hotel staff before hand on how to best book the rooms. I had also made multiple charges to my room including dining out at the various restaurants within the hotel all of which I didn't receive any points or credits for!
I am very disappointed and this had put a damper on what was supposed to be a luxurious experience at a JW Marriott property.

Excellent location! This hotel in right on top of the Admrialty MTR station, next to the Hong Kong Park. As we were having the wedding at Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry inside Hong Kong Park, and wedding banquet dinner in the 5/F JW cafe, we book 2 rooms for the pre and post wedding days. The JW Marriott teams are so professional. 1st of all, they arranged two rooms with connection door for us which makes our lives during the wedding day very easy. More over, the front desk and the room service teams are so helpful for helping us to arrange extra furniture, arrange our makeup artists and photographers to reach our rooms. Of course, we should not forget the view from the room is so nice and my families enjoyed a lot. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the JW lounge, I much say the food variety and quality is the best compared with the other JW lounge I visited ( Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thai) I was so enjoyed the time there. Something extra I would like to add. The Chinese New Year menu of JW cafe is so wonderful, all my family members, relatives and friends said the food are so delicious and some of them even walk-in to have it again with a week.

Old hotel resting on location. Everything a bit old, but location is great so I keep booking (stayed 10+ times in last 2 years, Ambassador Elite and lifetime platinum).
Some advice to others: Location by far the best part of this hotel, right above Pacific Place complex. Breakfast is large but tasteless, just about moving people in and out quickly with average to bad western and average to bad Chinese choices. City view side can hear traffic even on high floors, mountain view is quiet but avoid top 2 floors as there is a loud drone from the rooftop A/C. My ears are quite sensitive so there's some small amount of noise from neighboring rooms, a good amount of noise from hallway, and nearly no noise protection from traffic noises outside. Rooms are a bit stuffy with super old carpets (1970s perhaps?) and not great circulation (this is important below) of air.
Never written a review before but writing now because came back to room in middle of day and neighboring room has a crew painting it with extremely strong smelling paint. They kept their door open (prseumably so they wouldn't inhale too many fumes) but so spread the chemical haze throughout the hallway. My room immediately adjacent was already stinking when came back so called to request room change. Complained to manager and demanded he come upstairs to smell himself, he admitted they shouldn't paint rooms with guest staying in the same hallway, it should be an infraction to Hong Kong health codes, and arranged immediate transfer to another room, but an unbelievable lapse in management to allow this to happen.

We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate New Year in Hong Kong. Location is great! Metro Admiralty and Pacific Place mall all located next to the hotel. Check in smooth and quick. Room with city view was good size, bathroom spacious and great Marriott bed. Staff all very friendly. Minor details - chatting of housekeeping staff can be heard in the rooms and if the adjacent room takes a shower/opens the tab you can hear this. Also lift can take a while. But overall, very enjoyable and do recommend!

I was there in April 2023, and the shuttle busses were not operating. At the area where we took busses in the past are taxi queues. We tool a taxi to the hotel or you can take the MTR subway. The station is right below the hotel at Pacific Place Mall. You can walk right into the hotel from the mall.
one of the few hotels in HK that still have their Executive lounge operating during the virus, while others suspend this service. Everything should be still opened, best to call the hotel as this might change on a daily basis.
There are more places to choose from in the Hong Kong area.
