This is my second time staying at this hotel. I am travelling with family with young children going to visit a family member who lives in saikung area. the Hotel in saikung area is way out of our budget, so this Hotel was the perfect one for Us. We've got 2 rooms, for me and husband and Our 2 yo, and for my 19 yo son which is at the same floor just around the corner from our room. Our room got a small sofa bed which is perfect for my two yo, We asked for extra blanket and they deliver it to Our room with no extra charge. The hotel location is just right on the big mall, which add more value for shopping and dinner choices. breakfast was good too, they do fried glass noodle, fried rice, egg ( boiled or scrambled) toast, fruits, cereal...all the basics. Also for the record it takes less than 20 minuteS Taxy ride to saikung and it cost Us $10 (110 HKD). which is okay in the summary of hotel cost it is still away cheaper than the hotel in saikung.
The room is big, shower pressure is excellent. love this hotel. Thank you !

I have stayed in different HIE around the world and this was my first disappointment. We arrived at the hotel after 24 hrs of flying and when we got to our rooms boom - single beds!! I had indicated in advance that we are traveling as families 2 adults and a child in each room so I did not understand the single beds. To the staff’s credit, correcting the error was painless. The cleaning staff is just downright lazy!! We were there for 9 nights but they did not change the linen until we asked and secondly they did not clean period! Well they cleaned the bathroom and made the bed that’s it. I expected more! The front desk staff is their best assets, they are very friendly, knowledgeable about the city and very helpful. I don’t understand why their guests have to eat breakfast at the nearby Crowne Plaza? The menu was the same every day, why? Why the separation between guest and IHG rewards members? The pineapple, watermelon, coffee and croissants cannot be a good enough reason. I am not giving up on the chain based on my experience in other cities but they need to do better.

Seriously lack of manpower. Only one room attendant for the whole building during night time. It seemed that they were not well-trained. For instance , they replenished guest supplies right after cleaning the garbage bins with the same gloves. I would say that both guest services & overall cleanliness are below average.

I've stayed here about six times now and thought that it was about time that I gave a review. The Hotel is brilliantly positioned if you are visiting TKO, LOHAS Park or Hang Hau, being only 2 minutes walk from Tseung Kwan O MTR station, and very reasonably priced for Hong Kong. It always looks clean and well-maintained, the bed is comfortable and the decoration and other furnishings are excellent for this type of hotel.
Breakfast is great if you are into hot breakfasts, but a bit monotonous if you are not, although that is a minor quibble. That apart, the only negative is that the programming / sequencing of the lifts leaves something to be desired.

The bed and bed sheet is clean and comfortable, otherwise, the remote control have dust on it. Toilet is fair , the bathing area, the sink is the worst, the plate which put the cap and tooth brush is horrible. 2bottle of water put near the bed is better to put in the toilet.

The hotel reception is very polite and the check-in speed is very fast. Very good first impression is part of the key to success hotel running. A large corner room was distributed, and it is way much bigger than my previous experience in Hong Kong's hotels, such as Novotel and 8 Degrees. As a soft drink lover, free freezing sugar-free cola attracts me immediately. Also, good shower with large amount of instant warm water helped me relax and got asleep. 2 kinds of pillow were provided, soft and hard, which would adapt different customers.

However, the dinner buffet in the Crowne Plaza nearby is really not recommend. The price is too high and the food wasn't outstanding. In addition, the buffet diet in the hotel will not count to your IHG points, which is not reasonable.

first time staying here. with visits to HKUST this was an idea place to stay. cabs were easy to get and cost abiut 50 HKD to get to the campus. The breakie buffet was decent with the scheduled meals listed daily by the front desk.

rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. the bathroom was amazing..big and had many jars of soaps and gels. bed was a little hard though.

if u exit the hotel and go left for 1.5 blocks you will find a grocery store for all your needs. the tko mall the hotel is attached to has many eateries also. check the godiva chocolate store for a ice cream cone,,amazing...cost 50 HKD

Due to the pandemic, prices at this hotel are very good. The room cleaning service was also great and considerate; cleaniless is good. I enjoyed my stay at holiday inn. Free breakfast was also good since not many hotels in hong kong have free breakfast.

Holiday Inn Express has a standard that you can expect. You basically can tell how would the experience like before you stay there. This property live up to the global standards with a few upside. It has several room type and some bigger rooms. So if you are ihg members, your "upgrade" in this property is more than just high floor, you actually gets bigger room.

The downside is that you have to go to the other building for your breakfast, where the crown plaza located. It is near, but still a bit of travel for those plan to take their breakfast and back to their sleep afterwards.

I recently checked into the Holiday Inn Express, Kowloon East (in Tseung Kwan O) booking a month long stay to help my Mom recover from a recent accident she had suffered. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and it proved to be a wise choice to let my mother get some well deserved rest in some comfort. During our stay however, she suffered a couple of relapses and needed to return to hospital for a few days. The hotel management were truly exceptionally helpful during these challenging incidents, not only ensuring that her transfer to hospital and return to the hotel went smoothly, but also calling me often to enquire how she was getting on and to see if there was any further assistance required. In my opinion, the customer service and standard of guest care in this hotel is truly outstanding, and I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the way we have been looked after here. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a short break in Hong Kong or for a long stay in the TKO area.
