We recently stayed a few nights at the Figo (formerly Hotel LBP) in Sheung Wan and were very pleased with our experience. This property was rebranded and given a massive make-up late last year. It now has an almost southwest feel to it with orange earth tone colours, desert furniture and cacti placed throughout the property. It is a nice look and feel compared to so many of the sterile and drab midrange hotel setups around the city.
Reservation was made through booking.com where we found the best rates online. Confirmation was received immediately, check-in went smoothly and timely and we were up to our room in just a few minutes. Lobby area on the 4th floor beyond check-in desk is decorative and relaxing. They have a coffee bar, plenty of small tables, window side seating, a long table with a few games, large screen television as well as a small outdoor seating area. There is also a gym as well as a small outdoor area with a doggie pool.
We stayed in one of Figo's Premium Suites, which was a neat little setup. Nothing fancy or upscale. Instead, think cute, quaint with perhaps a bit of a college apartment feel to it. The suite included a small bedroom with desk, closet, a bit of room for luggage, flatscreen TV and a generally comfortable bed. There was also a studio style living room with minimal kitchenette setup including basic cutlery, glasses, bowls, fridge, kettle and espresso machine. You could do some very basic food prep here but not any real cooking.
There was a tiny two seater table fixed to the wall, small round coffee table and two seater sofa. To be fair, the sofa cushions were in bad shape, we both found ourselves sinking inward to the middle, meaning only one person could sit properly and it was still not very comfortable. This should be mended for the benefit of future guests. Room included a second flatscreen TV. There were enough electrical outlets, good lighting modes, working A/C, wifi and room safe. Tiny bathroom which separated the living room from the bedroom another clever configuration but might be a tight fit for larger guests.
In the end, we felt that suite is a good option for a longer stay option providing more space for guests. The limited kitchenette means that you should expect to dine out or do delivery mostly which is perfectly fine as the Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun districts are loaded with quality restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Otherwise, it was a fun stay at Figo, one we'd be happy to do again with future staycations around the city.

The hotel had an offer on its anniversary that includes a room and a light breakfast at a nearby cafe.
It's the design of the rooms that attracts me and it springs no surprises, the design of the room really gives you a cozy atmosphere, the warmth like home (comparing to the public houses in HK), if you're looking for a "suite" that includes big for everything like TV/sofa/bed/room/shower spaces/bathtubs etc. this isn't for you.
the brownie and banana cake is a must try at the nearby cooperated cafe with the hotel

The staff are incredibly helpful and patient, going above and beyond on a couple of occasions. Nicole wrote us a list of local attractions (upon request) all of which were great recommendations for HK first-timers. What I found even more impressive was their help recovering my ipad after learning it in my room after check-out. Before I realized it was missing they sent an email notification. I was already at the airport and didn’t have time to go pick it up. Upon returning home they were patient and helpful as I bungled my way through scheduling a DHL pick-up, they printed all the required shipping documents and very quickly got it sent out. I’m so grateful for the help and amazing customer service. We also enjoyed our stay, the Figo is in a great central location in a fun, easy to navigate neighborhood that is close to lots of attractions. We enjoyed the outdoor balcony off the lobby with free drinks (beer, soda, water, espresso machine) and snacks. They rooms are cozy and comfortable. We really lucked out selecting the Figo for our six nights in HK.

This hotel works well and offers good value for money. Situated centrally close enough to mtr, the atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable with everything you need eg iron, fridge, plates, cutlery, etc . Cleaning was good, and did not disturb unless the room was ready. There’s a lovely communal room on fourth floor with a terrace where you can get drinks and snacks anytime free. We enjoyed a few rainy afternoons there playing the hotel’s games with our grandson. Some of the floor coverings look a bit jaded, but it’s very clean on the whole. The staff went above and beyond in helping to resolve a booking issue we had so would definitely go here again.

The property is located in an ideal part of Hong Kong island close to all activities. The staff are very friendly and helpful with nothing being to hard to please whatever the circumstances. They have a great common area, lounge and balcony with free coffee machine, tea and biscuits. The rooms are clean and quite reasonably sized for Hong Kong.

I travelled to Hong Kong late Feb till early March for the first time in four years post a Covid induced absence.
Having stayed at the hotel's previous incarnation, LBP hotel and having lived in HK for many years, I know Sheung Wan well and was very happy to see the Hotel in business, albeit under new ownership.
The Figo is in a great location, the suite was the same lay out but had been tastefully refurbished. The staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient and the rooms were maintained beautifully by Housekeeping.
I would make special mention of the manager, Eric Chan, who took time to assist me with scanning some important documents and emailing them to me, which enabled me promptly deal with an issue whilst in Hong Kong.
I would thoroughly recommend the Figo to any visitors to Hong Kong, whether on Business or for a holiday.

We stayed at Figo for one month from 30 Sep to 30 Oct.
The hotel location is great, although it is in between 2 MRT Station, but there are lots of buses running to different parts of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories. There is also tram station near by too.
The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful, they will do their best to accommodate your needs. We would like to give them a 9/10! Especially thanks to Eric & Cheryl who help us when we booked our stay and during our stay.
The hotel's decor is very nice and make you feel comfortable.
Another things is, if you a dog lover, you must stay here as you will meet a lot of dogs and their friendly owners.
We must say it is value for money to stay at Figo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Figo, very "boutique hotel" vibes. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent, just a 10 minute walk to transport and a selection of cafes, restaurants and boutiques. There were three of us in a Magnolia suite initially, waiting for our other daughter to join us for the last couple of nights. Our daughter joined us a night earlier than expected and despite the hotel being full, they kindly accommodated us with a extra camp bed in the suite for a nominal fee before our two daughters moved to their own room the next day for the remainder of our stay. Breakfast 'on the go' is complimentary if you book direct, although I would have preferred a pastry than a sandwich (personal choice). All day complimentary coffees, soft drinks and beer in the lounge and then a very fun 'happy hour' concept in the evenings of a self serve selection of spirits, wines and some snacks. Would absolutely stay there again.

Are you doing a workcaytion or a vacay?
Either way, The Figo will satisfy your needs with stable wifi and a comfy lounge that allows you to work or play. Located at Sheung Wan, it is a marriage of the old and new Hong Kong, with YST a stone's throw away.
Need to work out or binge on Netflix? Grab yourself a yoga mat or utilise the gym. Sign in with your personal Netflix account on your room’s TV. And oh, be spoilt for choices in the shower: choose between the tap, shower head or the rain shower.
I’ll make The Figo my temporal HK home any day.
