We love the location but we’re a little disappointed by the service. Our room though cleaned on a daily basis, was left unvacuumed, toilet seat uncleaned, hand wash soap empty and not refilled. Tea bags were not topped up and on ringing housekeeping for tea bags, they said they’re too busy to send any to the room. When we went down with our suitcase to the lobby asking for help to get a taxi, we were told taxis don’t normally come down to the hotel entrance on the basement, it was suggested to us that we should lug the suitcase up the escalators to the main road ourselves, making it very hard for tourists to get in and out of the hotel.

Good first impression when we met the hotel manager - Gary, polite and friendly. Speedy check-in.

The room was clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable. One thing for improvement was the pillow, although we have requested for an additional one, it was still too soft for us. Recommend the hotel could provide different softness of pillow to choose.

The semi-buffet breakfast, indeed a full buffet breakfast, was out of our expectation. The restaurant was not crowded, and food variety was more than we expected.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay in this hotel, and the package offered good value of money.

Our room was clean and practical. The layout of the hotel is a little awkward but there is a covered walkway to Fortress Hill station to protect from any rain.
The buffet breakfast was fine with plenty of variety, but no muesli or good coffee.
We also stayed in the slightly more expensive Harbour Grand just a few metres away.
You get what you pay for but Alexandra and staff are very good.

The reception staff - Keith is friendly and helpful, actively asked if anything can help, he arranged a nice room and extended the checkout time for us, introducing the hotel facilities, assisting to reserve for the swimming pool, the the grandparents and Kids are happy and enjoyed the stay!

Housekeeping is helpful too, sent the towels and pillows in a short period of time.

Nice swimming pool but on the 2nd time we visited there, there was a lady she didn't swim but take a phone out to take pic of the pool, (my kids were swimming there, i felt offended by her actions and she claimed she has the right to use the pool too, the staff there was not really want to help until i asked her to call the duty manager)

The variety of food is very limited for F&B breakfast buffet. Have to wait quite a long time for just an omelets while they have a 1-hour time limit for the breakfast time. Not recommended !!

Highly recommended the rooms and facilities but not the F&B

Very very disappointed, 230pm arrived lobby, check in @3, no room until 345pm. Hotel provided 2 extra extra soft pillows ( for me n my wife), call front desk, ok, will bring in more pillows. 30 seconds later, phone ring, sorry, we ran out of pillows . Next morning, talked to housekeeper, she bring me 2 pillows in 1 min. What’s more, hotel will charge 50$ per day for storage even we plan to come back after a short trip to Taiwan. ( I don’t even bother to ask per luggage or per room), Btw, this hotel only provide 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner, a cheap one too. Shower sliders had mold on track, but this is only a 2-3 years young hotel, I considered it is new . Eventually we cancelled the 2 remaining bookings, I believe the hotel can do better even they keep saying staffs shortage, The hotel rate is just in line compared to others in the area, I got sold cos thinking it’s newer, turn out way below expectations.

Hotel has yet to refund the remaining amount i prepaid (more than HKD8,000)!!!!
It has been outstanding since March 7th!!!!!!!
Excuse given is accounting department is slow!!
I will never trust this hotel again, could not even perform a simple refund owing to a guest which they had kicked out.

I had booked the long stay package for the month of March 2022.
1. Problems with the rooms had to be followed up a few times to get it solved (wrong room assignment, clogged bathroom drains, smelly pillows etc)
2. Was "kicked out" from hotel after checking in on the 4th day with the excuse that they were chosen to be government isolation facility. This is despite the one month contract signed. No other hotel arrangement or compensation offered.
3. Last and the worst - Hotel has the nerve to drag on my refund!! I still need to follow up frequently to check on the status!

We have 4 people and stayed at Alexandra Hotel Queen Suite rooms on 13-14 Oct.
The hotel, rooms, food, swimming pool and guests services were very good. We enjoyed this staycation so much.
We would also like to take this chance to express our special thanks to the below guests services staff.
1. Front desk staff Tim and Gary. They were very friendly and patient to provide all related information and arrange swimming pool booking for us which allowed us to have a very good planning and enjoyment during our stay. Also, they provided a very sincere, polite and efficient check in and check out processes for us which was highly appreciated and very happily.
2. All restaurant staff we contacted via phone or in person were very friendly and nice. For example, Nison, carving staff Sunny, a part time lady (we forgot to ask her name who served us during our dinner on 13 Oct), Reception Sanda and Yuki.
We must especially gave a big thumb to Yuki who was so helpful and nice to arrange and deliver wines and desserts to our rooms even we changed the delivery time several times due to attending the in house activities. Her voice was very sweet and she kept patient which made us feel very comfortable and hospitality.
Thank you very much again to all guests services staff, chef, housekeeping and room cleaning staff.

Please refer to image below that I have attached describing the praise worthy service of the Sales Manager, Mr. Gary Oi who satisfied all our request :- room far away from lifts, delay check out(as our flight back home is at 23:00)…etc
Under his brilliant leadership, room service, all staff at cafe/restaurant, security guards…etc are efficient, polite and helpful!
Food at restaurant and other facilities like swimming pool and gym also uphold the price/rent throughout. Really recommend our friends and relatives to stay in when they come to Hong Kong. In fact, good choice for the recent Stay cation for a break as well !
New hotel with attractive and glamorous decorations (though maybe a bit too much for someone) is definitely our next choice to stay for our next trip to HK again!

My friends and I wanted to stay 3 nights but I accidentally booked 4. Since we were over the free cancellation date already, Expedia called the manager of the hotel and asked, if he would agree to a free cancellation of the last night since it was booked by mistake. What other hotels usually accept, this manager didn't. We then checked-in, spoke to the manager, explained what happened but he only said it would not be possible anymore due to settlement. When I told him that Expedia would clarify the financial part with him, he was not interested.
One day later it was heavily raining outside.
We (4 people) kindly asked for umbrellas and were told we could get some at the reception. At the reception we were told that we would get only one umbrella for one person. We explained the person assisting us that we are a party of 4 and that 1 umbrella is not sufficient - he did not care.

I just checked out from the hotel with my family, very disappointed, the concierge "got" us a taxi for" just" $230 for 4 km distance from the Fortress Hill to MTR Central Station. Just as a comparison, the distance from the hotel to the airport is 45 km and taxi prices are between $ 350 and $420. What a shame! We walked to the closest MTR station and had the same ride for less then $10.

I also don't know how the room passed the building inspection. In order to get to the room from the elevator you almost have to got through the labyrinth of narrow halls and when we opened the room door, we had to go straight to the washroom first, close the entrance door and finally enter the tiniest room I ever had chance to experience. We couldn't pass each other, one had to move between beds, let other pass, then do the same.

The main floor is very beautiful, bed sheets were clean, but on one of the towels there was a very suspicious " brown"stain on. I didn't want to find out what it could be, but it looked very much like somebody cleaned their bottom with it and it wasn't washed properly.
Reception stuff is friendly and responsive, when we asked for the water, they sent us more than we asked for. Restaurant is beautiful and people who work in the hotel are generally very friendly and helpful.

I wouldn't repeat this experience.
