I stayed here for 2 months with my friend. The room is very very very tiny for us. No place for my big luggages so I put ours under the bed. It was very inconvenient to take cloths out. No much place for hanging the cloths too. The bathroom is also very very very very tiny. Just a place to stand. The staff is very kind. They try to help me many time. The place is ok for this price.
I'd been stayed in Chung King Mansion in last visit and the room was horribly smell. Thus this time I chose Mirador Mansion which is just adjacent to Chung King Mansion. For price - Its understood that HK has very limited land, thus the land price is high. Leading to houses built in small space. With the same rate I book for this guesthouse, I can get relatively decent spacious 3star hotel in my country. I'm not saying its budget for me, I just can say that its the cheapest I can find in HK which is most convenience in transport. For environment - Mirador Mansion is less compact and less complicated than Chung King Mansion, which make the place a lot safer. I have no issue in the waiting of lift for this guest house compare to Chung King Mansion. For travel - Very convenient and withing walking distant about less than 1min (after walk out from Mirador Mansion) to Tsim Tsa Tsui MTR station (usually I use exit D2). Not to forget, the famous Jenny Cookies Biscuit has a branch in Mirador Mansion which is located at Level 1. Nearby have a lot of restaurant, shops for your to savour and shop. For staying quality - very very small room. but kinda cosy and clean. smell a little which I'm not sure whether it's because I'm not get used to the smell, or the ventilation problem due to small room. I booked triple room for 2 person. My mum and I were about height of 151cm and weight average 48kg, bring 2x 24inch bag and 1x 18inch bag.. And the space is just enough for both of us. If your place those luggage on the floor, you hardly have any space to walk around. You can put the luggage underneath the bed but due to the limited space I don't want to keep bending up and down carrying the luggage out. So i put both big luggage on the bed since we have triple bed. This make the room easier to utilize. A little advise: bring some perfume or essential oil along to deodorize the room to fit to your favourable "smell". Due to the small size of the room, if your partner or yourself have smelly "toilet business", the whole room gonna smell too.…
We booked this place on the strength of reviews made here and were under no illusions about what to expect. What we got on the basis of booking a room described as a family room was bitterly disappointing and obscenely expensive.... ¥600 CNY or $100 US, booked through another platform, specifically with the view of securing enough space for us all; the manager said she could not offer us any alternative. I thought we were getting three beds which would have worked for us: two adults and two small kids. Instead we got a small, ( as in tiny) double and a small( yup tiny again) single. A further annoyance was that we were berthed in a facility called Wide Sky Guest House and not the Wellyet Hotel. Little doubt we would have got much better value for our money elsewhere. This would all have been ok if we were two adults, but grossly unsuitable for us. Plus the impact of an uncomfortable disrupted sleep is much greater on small kids than on mum and dad. Shame on you, Wellyet.…
The room was very small but good value by the standards of Hong Kong. The place had a proper fire doors and alarms, which are lacking in many hostels in the area. The lady on the desk was friendly and helpful. The location is great, just 10 minutes walk to the water front or 5 mins to the MTR. The room was quiet and clean and the bed was comfortable. What more can you expect! The lift is easier to find if you enter Mirador Mansion from the entrance opposite Starbucks. It is on your right at the end of the corridor of shops opposite the management office.
This is our first time in Hong Kong with my husband and because everything is so expensive we booked in this guest house. When we arrived today wanted to cry when we were outside of the bilding, very crowded, felty. We went up to the 14th floor and finally found wellyet guest house, the woman from the reception told us because we booked on booking (without previos payment) they could not ensure our room, eventhough I have the confirmation because they could not charge money before our arriving. We panicked and she told us that could arrange two night (of seven) and then she could recomend us another place with similar conditions... we acepted to stay a few nights but after all of that she told us we could not pay with credit card just cash...In any place of my booking this condition was mentioned... so we had to leave because we had not much cash on us that moment. I still dont know if booking is going to charge us that payment or not.. we had to sped time and more money on finding somewhere else the same day...but we found a place much better close by for a bit more, and we just are grateful for that now.. but very dissapointed for this kind of experience when you have so many expectations on knowing a new place.. Maybe some of you will reade one or two bad experience in this place and because is cheap will take it .... well I would tell you to think ten times more.... Never again!…
