Our hotel room was newly renovated and had a lovely, modern feel to it. The room was exceptionally clean and we enjoyed our stay. The highlight was our view of the beach, which was wonderful! We could sit on our balcony (which came with a small table and 2 chairs) and we had a perfect view of the beach and the sunrise. The room had a double bed, a long desk (which we liked) and one chair. There was a small refrigerator, a kettle, bottled water, supplies for coffee and tea, as well as slippers and towels. Because of covid, they only cleaned our room and replaced towels by request, but we didn't mind, and we found the staff very accommodating. They also provided beach mats and beach towels, which we found useful. The room was cosy and a snug fit. A little more shelving in the room, and maybe some hooks to hang coats and umbrellas would have been nice, but we are not complaining, we had a very good stay. The restaurant is conveniently located on the ground floor and overlooks the beach. Breakfast was satisfying (eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, toast and coffee), and the meals were tasty. We also enjoyed walking the 20 minutes into town to try out some other foods and restaurants. We thought the front desk and restaurant service was fantastic, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed 3 nights this time, but would definitely come again and stay longer.

We booked this hotel via booking. com and were looking forward to spend 9 days there during our stay on Lamma. A couple of days before arrival I’ve got a message from the hotel that the had a flooding which meant that we could no longer stay in our room on the 1st floor with a private balcony with a sea view. The hotel offered an upgrade to an apartment at no extra cost with a “garden and beach” view. We agreed. When we arrived late in the evening, we didn’t like what we saw. The apartment (studio) had many faults: the conditioner remote was not working, the safe didn’t work either. The access to a wardrobe space was blocked by a sofa. No hangers. No cutlery, except cups and saucers and teaspoons. Very basic. In addition, we have almost burnt ourselves in the shower before we figured out how to use it: put cold water in full first and then gradually turn the hot water tap just up to a click, not more. Next morning I saw that the garden and beach view was not quite it: in front of the apartment 25GB was a delapidated building and the big tree obstructed the view to the beach. We complained and were offered to have a look at another room on the first floor (but not in the main building). However, it was so tiny that we decided to compromise a sea view for s bigger space. The hotel promptly fixed the faults in the apartment and I have to say that with time we got used to it and found it ok. The location is of course the main benefit. It’s right at the beautiful beach. The restaurant outside area is nicely decorated and creates a romantic feel. It takes 20 minutes to walk into town and to the ferry, but at this time of the year the walk is pleasant. We had to ask every time to clean the room and change towels - this was not done by default. The terrace of our apartment was spacious with a small table and two chairs. We had breakfast in the hotel on our first morning. It wasn’t the best, just okish. There are plenty of options in the village which we used on other days - Banyan, Hideout, traditional Chinese. The staff were polite and friendly. So overall, would rate the hotel with 3 stars.

We have stayed at concerto inn a few times and it has been ok to good. Sadly not this trip. Room was not cleaned, drink in afternoon took 30 minutes then decided to have lite dinner. Over 5 minutes after we ordered our meal another couple arrived and ordered same thing. They got there’s 10 minutes before us. Really disappointed May be our last stay here!

Good Afternoon Clov22, My apology for my late reply. First and foremost I would like to offer our sincere apology on your unpleasant visit. I’m the Marketing Manager here at Concerto Inn. It has been brought to my attention that your recent visit with us was not up to par. As you may know providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and hearing we have fallen below that standard is something we like to address immediately. In concern with our room’s hygienic problems, we have immediately appointed our housekeeper to entirely using stronger detergent to swipe deep in every room and every corner. Simultaneously, we have decided to upgrade our manpower to particularly look after all the rooms with areas that require for imperative sanitizing. Regarding the long waited service at our restaurant, our team will implement extra hands in the kitchen to help minimize waiting time. We regret to know you had a bad experience on your accommodation, we definitely treasure our guest’s accommodation with us to ensure you can enjoy a delightful vacation. As a gesture of our sincere apology, we would like to offer you a free night staycation at our Bellagio Pets Friendly Resort with a sea view balcony room and breakfast for two. We hope that you will afford us the opportunity to regain your trust in the duration of your stay and please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and looking forward to welcome you again at Concerto Inn. Ken C Concerto Inn

Paid HK$2,400 for two nights with a dog. “Sold” the “apartment” which is away from the main building. Told it had a terrace but this was not private as the upstairs guests would walk through it. View of beach/sea blocked by tree outside. Room hadn’t been decorated for decades. Paint peeling of wall. Layout poor with bed wedged against an inner wall. Bed also hard. Furniture shabby. Bathroom poor with broken fitting so shower had to be hand held. The charge to me was way too high for run down accommodation like this. At 400 a night it might be ok. On the plus side it is dog friendly and the staff are nice.

I've stayed here twice now, and it's fairly basic accommodation, but very clean and the room has everything you need inc. tea, coffee, TV, powerful AC fridge, shower. The rooms with a balcony are really good. The view of Hung Shing Ye beach is so nice. It's on the beach, you can get draft beer and the staff are very accommodating. I visited in a T8 and still had a good time. Note: The rooms are on the small side, and the bed is not a full double. I managed to squeeze in a travel baby cot, no probs though. It would be good to upgrade if a bit though, split AC, upgraded bathroom (a la lychee sunset hotel on Cheung Chau) I'd def stay again though.

It’s a beautiful place to relax after your long day with some amazing drinks they have at the Inn. However, pls don’t waste your time eating here!! We waited for more than an hour for our food to arrive and in the end they said that the dish I ordered is out of stock when all the food came! On top of that it was 6PM so I couldn’t order anything else. Extremely disappointing! We had our own individual dish so I was left with no choice but to wait for my family to finish and leave. There were other customers who seemed to have some problems with their orders too!

A great spot with a wonderful beach at its doorstep. Charming and friendly staff always smiling and helpful. Rooms all functional but some love and updating and maybe a touch small. Good out door veranda to enjoy breakfast , lunch and dinner. Food menu is workable . I know it been hard Covid times, so not easy to survive , but this diamond will certainly polish up if given love and attention. Will certainly pop back and pay tribute. Thank you

I was exceptionally disappointed with this place. The room was VERY small, too small for even two people. There was no phone in the room in case you needed to talk to the front desk. The toilet is IN the shower, the area just outside the shower with the sink floods because no drainage, and the shower leaked badly. There wasn’t even any instant coffee/tea, breakfast was EXTRA cost. The drawers did not close. If the noisy dehumidifier wasn’t running 24 hrs the room turned into a slippery hazard! There was a mosquito killing machine that did NOTHING, lots of mosquitoes in the room. The room itself showed TOO MANY examples of less than adequate build quality. (Like holes cut by what look like 6 year olds to make space for bathroom pipes.) For the amount of money we paid, we expected more than just being close to the beach. To say that the accommodations were basic are a HUGE understatement. For over US$100/night, NOT WORTH IT! I can go on to talk about the terrible food as well, but at this point I think you can figure that out.

The location is great, right on the beach and the bar area was excellent. Our room was small (which we don’t mind), however we paid more for an executive room but the bed was smaller than a double bed and situated sideways against a wall in the middle of the room. It was hard, small and uncomfortable, esp being 6ft 4.The pillows were thin and the towels were the thinnest I’ve ever seen. The room was full of unnecessary clutter and random cupboards/drawers and this made it feel even smaller. Two huge photographs on the wall made us feel like we had stepped back into 1975. The communal staircase was shabby and dirty and the AstroTurf on the landings was grubby. We just didn’t want to stay in the room any longer than we had to which was fine for one night but we definitely don’t want to stay again, and our friends who stayed with us feel the same. It’s such a shame because the facade of the building is beautiful as is the location. This hotel really needs a revamp..!!

The power station on the beach (which I later found out is called power station beach) was an interesting surprise, but outdone by the hotel-switch from Concerto Inn to the pet-friendly spot (I forget the name) and the room decorated in & of cat. The bar/restaurant area is nice, the staff are friendly and the beach is lovely (if you can block out the power station). Should also mention that it’s a fair old walk from the ferry in case you’re lugging big bags.
