Basic, but very clean accommodation on Lamma. It's right on the beach, has a nice bar and western restaurant. Breakfast is actually pretty good. Be warned though, they only serve breakfast from 9am. So not good for business people or those who have to go work (they didn't refund this).

Like all HK hotels on the beaches, the design and fittings are 'hodge podge, and the prices at weekends do not reflect particular value for money, but you are paying for location and the fact they can charge this as there are hardly any competitors.

My recommendation to the owners is upgrade to a decent standard (rooms feel slightly like being in a secure hospital unit) have a bit more pride in the rooms (not many people like Swan wallpaper in 2020) and remember why you bought a hotel in the first place: surely not just about cash, but making sure Hong Kongers have a nice time on a short break.

We booked this hotel via booking. com and were looking forward to spend 9 days there during our stay on Lamma. A couple of days before arrival I’ve got a message from the hotel that the had a flooding which meant that we could no longer stay in our room on the 1st floor with a private balcony with a sea view. The hotel offered an upgrade to an apartment at no extra cost with a “garden and beach” view. We agreed. When we arrived late in the evening, we didn’t like what we saw. The apartment (studio) had many faults: the conditioner remote was not working, the safe didn’t work either. The access to a wardrobe space was blocked by a sofa. No hangers. No cutlery, except cups and saucers and teaspoons. Very basic. In addition, we have almost burnt ourselves in the shower before we figured out how to use it: put cold water in full first and then gradually turn the hot water tap just up to a click, not more. Next morning I saw that the garden and beach view was not quite it: in front of the apartment 25GB was a delapidated building and the big tree obstructed the view to the beach. We complained and were offered to have a look at another room on the first floor (but not in the main building). However, it was so tiny that we decided to compromise a sea view for s bigger space. The hotel promptly fixed the faults in the apartment and I have to say that with time we got used to it and found it ok. The location is of course the main benefit. It’s right at the beautiful beach. The restaurant outside area is nicely decorated and creates a romantic feel. It takes 20 minutes to walk into town and to the ferry, but at this time of the year the walk is pleasant. We had to ask every time to clean the room and change towels - this was not done by default. The terrace of our apartment was spacious with a small table and two chairs. We had breakfast in the hotel on our first morning. It wasn’t the best, just okish. There are plenty of options in the village which we used on other days - Banyan, Hideout, traditional Chinese. The staff were polite and friendly. So overall, would rate the hotel with 3 stars.

I've stayed here twice now, and it's fairly basic accommodation, but very clean and the room has everything you need inc. tea, coffee, TV, powerful AC fridge, shower. The rooms with a balcony are really good. The view of Hung Shing Ye beach is so nice.

It's on the beach, you can get draft beer and the staff are very accommodating. I visited in a T8 and still had a good time.

Note: The rooms are on the small side, and the bed is not a full double. I managed to squeeze in a travel baby cot, no probs though. It would be good to upgrade if a bit though, split AC, upgraded bathroom (a la lychee sunset hotel on Cheung Chau)

I'd def stay again though.

Our hotel room was newly renovated and had a lovely, modern feel to it. The room was exceptionally clean and we enjoyed our stay. The highlight was our view of the beach, which was wonderful! We could sit on our balcony (which came with a small table and 2 chairs) and we had a perfect view of the beach and the sunrise.

The room had a double bed, a long desk (which we liked) and one chair. There was a small refrigerator, a kettle, bottled water, supplies for coffee and tea, as well as slippers and towels. Because of covid, they only cleaned our room and replaced towels by request, but we didn't mind, and we found the staff very accommodating. They also provided beach mats and beach towels, which we found useful. The room was cosy and a snug fit. A little more shelving in the room, and maybe some hooks to hang coats and umbrellas would have been nice, but we are not complaining, we had a very good stay.

The restaurant is conveniently located on the ground floor and overlooks the beach.
Breakfast was satisfying (eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, toast and coffee), and the meals were tasty. We also enjoyed walking the 20 minutes into town to try out some other foods and restaurants.

We thought the front desk and restaurant service was fantastic, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed 3 nights this time, but would definitely come again and stay longer.

Nice view of the beach, location very tranquil. The staff at the restaurant (Daniel) is amazing and kind. We really enjoyed our experience with Daniel and the beach. However, there were a number of issues. First, the sheets had stains (urine and other unmentionable secretions) and human hair on them, and as soon as I checked in, I needed to get those changed in my child's room. They changed them but asked a lot of questions before they did (which I thought was really wierd; just change the sheets!). Then, when I went to sleep in my own room, I found dirt and hair in my bed. Since the staff had gone to sleep, I just slept with the dirt and other people's hair. The beds were literally hard as a rock and the pillows were also. We all had a hard time sleeping due to the hardness of the bed and pillows, and other guests we knew who stayed there agreed. When we woke up and went down for breakfast (which only started at 9 am) it was just okay. However, what really angered me is that they 1) ask how many people will be at breakfast the next day but do not tell you the breakfast was not included in the price (yes, it's in the fine print in your reservation but every other hotel I've ever stayed in tells you again!); then 2) don't serve breakfast unless you request it, 3) do not state the breakfast price on the menu and 4) surprise you with a bill when you check out for people who are staying there x $80, even if they didn't order breakfast!! I have been back and forth with the hotel explaining that we didn't even order 5 breakfasts but were charged for them; that they didn't even serve 5 breakfasts but charged us for them. They keep telling me that they'll train their staff better, but all I want is my money back for services not rendered.

Honestly, I've lived in HK for 17 years and travelled around the world and have never had any hotel act like this. I was very surprised by the fact that they would not back down on this - they took my money and didn't provide any service for it. They asked me why I wanted my sheets changed when there was human secretions, dirt and hair on them....Other travellers should be aware of this SCAM and consider staying in another hotel. That is unless you wish to sleep on dirty sheets, beds and get scammed for bad coffee, spam and cheap bread for breakfast.

It’s a beautiful place to relax after your long day with some amazing drinks they have at the Inn.

However, pls don’t waste your time eating here!!
We waited for more than an hour for our food to arrive and in the end they said that the dish I ordered is out of stock when all the food came! On top of that it was 6PM so I couldn’t order anything else. Extremely disappointing! We had our own individual dish so I was left with no choice but to wait for my family to finish and leave. There were other customers who seemed to have some problems with their orders too!

This is our 4th time staying here. And it's still a lovely hotel.
Yes rooms are small but it's not a massive problem unless you bring way to much luggage. Room was spotless. Issue with kettle which was sorted out with in a few minutes. Some nice walks around the island.
Doesn't take long to get to the hotel from the port.
Ferries are quite frequent to Hong Kong Island
Hotel is in a quite area right on the beach.

The location is great, right on the beach and the bar area was excellent. Our room was small (which we don’t mind), however we paid more for an executive room but the bed was smaller than a double bed and situated sideways against a wall in the middle of the room. It was hard, small and uncomfortable, esp being 6ft 4.The pillows were thin and the towels were the thinnest I’ve ever seen.

The room was full of unnecessary clutter and random cupboards/drawers and this made it feel even smaller. Two huge photographs on the wall made us feel like we had stepped back into 1975.

The communal staircase was shabby and dirty and the AstroTurf on the landings was grubby.

We just didn’t want to stay in the room any longer than we had to which was fine for one night but we definitely don’t want to stay again, and our friends who stayed with us feel the same. It’s such a shame because the facade of the building is beautiful as is the location. This hotel really needs a revamp..!!

I would recommend Concerto Inn if staying on Lamma Island. The hotel is situated next to the beach (Hung Shing Yeh Beach), so need to walk for 20 minutes from the ferry pier. It is quiet, especially at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A restaurant was on site, but needed to book a table in advance as the kitchen closed early. We were more than happy to have early dinner. Food was very good. We enjoyed our stay. Will come back when we stay in the Lamma Island.

We have stayed at concerto inn a few times and it has been ok to good. Sadly not this trip. Room was not cleaned, drink in afternoon took 30 minutes then decided to have lite dinner. Over 5 minutes after we ordered our meal another couple arrived and ordered same thing. They got there’s 10 minutes before us. Really disappointed May be our last stay here!

Good Afternoon Clov22, My apology for my late reply. First and foremost I would like to offer our sincere apology on your unpleasant visit. I’m the Marketing Manager here at Concerto Inn. It has been brought to my attention that your recent visit with us was not up to par. As you may know providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and hearing we have fallen below that standard is something we like to address immediately. In concern with our room’s hygienic problems, we have immediately appointed our housekeeper to entirely using stronger detergent to swipe deep in every room and every corner. Simultaneously, we have decided to upgrade our manpower to particularly look after all the rooms with areas that require for imperative sanitizing. Regarding the long waited service at our restaurant, our team will implement extra hands in the kitchen to help minimize waiting time. We regret to know you had a bad experience on your accommodation, we definitely treasure our guest’s accommodation with us to ensure you can enjoy a delightful vacation. As a gesture of our sincere apology, we would like to offer you a free night staycation at our Bellagio Pets Friendly Resort with a sea view balcony room and breakfast for two. We hope that you will afford us the opportunity to regain your trust in the duration of your stay and please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and looking forward to welcome you again at Concerto Inn. Ken C Concerto Inn
