Stayed with a mate for a night in the 4 share dorm. A little tough to find but locals were very good at helping locate the hidden elevator. Great spot close to Victoria Harbour, metro stops and shopping mall. Really chill vibe, clean, comfortable and helpful staff. A very positive influence for a first time hostel stayer.

Location is great but the elevator is not at the floor. You need to always take a stair up. Imagine if you have troller or big luggage, very inconvenient. Common room is nice. Most staffs are friendly but not all.

I stayed at the Hop Inn on Mody for 3 nights in May 2017. I used the hostel as a base to explore Hong Kong. To me the location in Kowloon is perfect, close to an MTR station, close to the port and walking distance to star ferry. The area is nice to explore in the evening. The hostel is quite and clean. I stayed in a dorm with communal bathrooms. The is small cages below the beds to store your valuables (bring a padlock). Even though I had a few nice conversations in the dorm, it doesn't feel like a place to socialize. Noone really hangs out in the common area. The staff was trying to help with any question, though some are more knowledgeable than others. Otherwise - free water, coffee (instant), tea, no breakfast (N1 cafe just next door), soap in the showers, you can rent a…

Basic accommodations for quick stopover in HK. Clean rooms and bathrooms with good wifi. Rooftop bar at Carnarvon is a peaceful escape from busy street below. Location is minutes from TST MTR stop and accessible by the Airport Express Train via the K1 bus from Kowloon station (get off at Holiday Inn around the corner). Really a pleasure being in the heart of the action in busy Kowloon.

In Kowloon, in walking distance to anything, but way from the hawkers hassling you elsewhere. This hostel offers great facilities. Spacious dorms, lockers for you whole backpack, good bed with curtains (e-socket and lamp for each bed). A/C. Enough bathrooms with good showers (hot and cold water, good water-pressure). A nice common-area to meet fellow travellers and the staff is super friendly and helpful. A good choice to stay in Hong Kong.

Stayed here for 3 days at Mody Road. The hostel is very clean, room is quiet at night - nice roommates :) and quite spacious as compared to other rooms in HK. There's a common room where you can read/surf internet/eat. Location is just across the MTR station which is very convenient. The only slight down side is I paid higher when booked through phone call a day earlier and later in the evening I found that Hostelworld site offered a lower price. When I asked the lady who took my booking the following day, she wasn't very friendly and just said it's been adjusted on Hostelworld site. Other staffs (except for her) were very friendly though.

We stayed 3 nights in the end of february 2017. The reservation went smoothly. It is on a very central location 2 minutes from the MTR. Nice clean rooms and no noise. Cool decor and a nice roof terasse. The people working there are very friendly

My first stay was back in February 2016. I always return to the same hostel every since. I have always stayed at the female dorm with bathroom attached. Hop Inn on Mody is easy to locate and accessible via MTR. There are plenty of eateries around the hostel and the surrounding is safe. Bathroom is clean and they provide a cage to store your belongings. Remember to bring a padlock. Water, hairdryer are available at the common area. Stay connected with your friends and family by using their free wifi. You may also leave your luggage at the common area if you have a late flight. There is no charge to that. Try to enquire for discount if you stay 2 nights and above and pay by cash

I stayed in a private room since was the only one available, the price was good enough. The room was always clean, the location of the Hostel is very good, it is like 2 blocks aways from the TST metro station. I loved the decoration of the entire hostel and they have a great terrace where you can hang out. I would totally come back to this hostel.

One thing that most people do know about traveling to Hong Kong is that accommodation rarely ever follows the whole ‘value for money’ concept, so it’s fair to say that I had a skewered idea when it came to choosing where to stay for my one week. I can tell you now, I made the best decision to stay at the very lovely Hop Inn. it has to be one of the only hostels that does offer accommodation for those on a budget whilst still maintaining a high quality of bedding and furniture, excellent customer service and rooms so spacious that you won’t be left feeling like Harry Potter in the cupboard below the stairs. As I am extremely indecisive, I made the smart move to stay at both Hop Inn on Mody and Hop Inn on Carnarvon to really get the best of both worlds. Both are incredibly well…
