In Kowloon, in walking distance to anything, but way from the hawkers hassling you elsewhere. This hostel offers great facilities. Spacious dorms, lockers for you whole backpack, good bed with curtains (e-socket and lamp for each bed). A/C. Enough bathrooms with good showers (hot and cold water, good water-pressure). A nice common-area to meet fellow travellers and the staff is super friendly and helpful. A good choice to stay in Hong Kong.
Stayed here for 3 days at Mody Road. The hostel is very clean, room is quiet at night - nice roommates :) and quite spacious as compared to other rooms in HK. There's a common room where you can read/surf internet/eat. Location is just across the MTR station which is very convenient. The only slight down side is I paid higher when booked through phone call a day earlier and later in the evening I found that Hostelworld site offered a lower price. When I asked the lady who took my booking the following day, she wasn't very friendly and just said it's been adjusted on Hostelworld site. Other staffs (except for her) were very friendly though.
We stayed 3 nights in the end of february 2017. The reservation went smoothly. It is on a very central location 2 minutes from the MTR. Nice clean rooms and no noise. Cool decor and a nice roof terasse. The people working there are very friendly
I stayed in a private room since was the only one available, the price was good enough. The room was always clean, the location of the Hostel is very good, it is like 2 blocks aways from the TST metro station. I loved the decoration of the entire hostel and they have a great terrace where you can hang out. I would totally come back to this hostel.
One thing that most people do know about traveling to Hong Kong is that accommodation rarely ever follows the whole ‘value for money’ concept, so it’s fair to say that I had a skewered idea when it came to choosing where to stay for my one week. I can tell you now, I made the best decision to stay at the very lovely Hop Inn. it has to be one of the only hostels that does offer accommodation for those on a budget whilst still maintaining a high quality of bedding and furniture, excellent customer service and rooms so spacious that you won’t be left feeling like Harry Potter in the cupboard below the stairs. As I am extremely indecisive, I made the smart move to stay at both Hop Inn on Mody and Hop Inn on Carnarvon to really get the best of both worlds. Both are incredibly well…
