We didn't realized that it was a public holiday in Hong kong during our visit and all hotels were booked. One hotel that I booked prior months (he even gave me an invoice!) before our trip cancelled our reservation 1 week before. As I was so desperate to find a new hotel, I stumbled upon City Plus Hostel on facebook then i booked a reservation immediately. They just sent me a message saying that my reservation was confirmed. They didn't even made a follow up email or what. I tried to message them but all I can get are system generated messages. They didn't even send me my invoice. Hesitant, we still went to the hotel on our reserved date and to my surprise, they are still waiting for us even if its almost 12MN!! Ate Dina, the receptionist (a Filipina) was all smiles when we arrived! She even gave us some leaflets and maps that we can use on our trip. The hostel is just a 2min walk from the Mongkok MTR Station, Sneaker Market, a lot of establishments, restaurants, almost everything actually! I highly recommend staying in this hostel! You get what you paid for! One thing I don't like is how small their restrooms are. We booked 2 rooms, and both have small toilet and bath. You cant even move freely when you shower! So if you're not finicky, then I suggest that you book in this hostel :)

Was really glad I found this place. Paid around SGD50+ per night, for a double ensuite room. Extremely affordable price, considering the perfect location - it’s a 2 minute walk from the Mongkok MTR. The room was clean, although really tiny (but then again, this was the city centre, and considering how we even had our own toilet in the room, this was really good). Only concerns we had was that the apartment was quite old and felt like a bit of a fire hazard, and it would get quite noisy sometimes from the construction going on in the apartment. Apart from that, we never felt unsafe, and being extreme location conscious, this place was perfect for us. Would recommend if you’re on a budget and short of time!

When we were staying in Hong Kong we did not realise it was a public holiday and prices for hostels went up massively! This place was the cheapest we could find and we had a pleasant stay. We only managed to book for one night but the lady working here sorted us out and extra 2 nights that we needed!

The hostel is right in the middle of everything: a 5 minutes' (!) walk from D2 exit of Mong Kok station, with lots of places to eat nearby, including multiple Starbucks coffee shops; there's an affordable supermarket ("Welcome") close by where you can stock up with yogurts and snacks, and there's also a variety of different shops, currency exchange centers, and banks in the area. Check out the market that's parallel to Nathan Rd., you'll find some great deals on souvenirs out there, but make sure you bargain though! Not far from the metro you can find another market where you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables. As for the hostel itself, WiFi is fast, and air con works well. I booked a private room with a sheared bathroom, but was upgraded to an ensuite room, which was great despite being TINY (about the size of a deluxe rail car) and not having any windows. Dina was an amazing host, and I'm definitely coming back again!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Arriving almost midnight and the door of the building is closed, so I have to find another door in the another side of the building. The hotel room is very small (but as it is in HK so it's ok), the staff was helpful, but they are in the far different floor from the room I stayed.

Thanks to Tita Dina, the kind Filipina receptionist at City Plus Hostel, we had a comfortable stay in Hong Kong. We availed the room good for three persons. Beds are comfy, esp the comforters. Clean comfort rooms with very good heater & shower. We asked for an extension cord to accommodate charging our phones since there is only one electrical socket in the room. Good wi-fi connection in the hostel too! The hostel is also just across the Ladies' Market. What more could you ask for? :) Overall, I highly recommend this place for backpackers or with friends! :)

I stayed here for 5 nights in June and had a trouble free stay. The lady who runs the hostel is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very very basic, but clean and you get what you pay for! The location was really great, just a 2 minute walk to Mong Kok station. You enter the hostel through Sincere house which looks a bit dodgy and scary to begin with but you get used to it! I would definitely recommend staying here rather than Chunking Mansions

The place itself wasn't bad but our room was one of a kind. Sometime through the night I thought my knee was going through the bed and I'm not sure what was going on above us but it sounded like rents being done all night. There are at her good places to stay in this building which I recommend.

This place worked for us since all we did was sleep here at the end of the day. We stayed in a private room with two twin beds and our own bathroom. The room was very, very small, but that did not bother me. The bathroom appeared as if at one point it had literally been a closet. The bathroom door was a pull-across plastic shower door which did not latch, zero privacy from your travel partner unfortunately. The rooms are in a high-rise building and are spaced over several floors. You can enter the building from several sides and take different elevators to get to your room. At least one of the entrance doors locks after a certain time of night, but if you go around the corner there should be another entrance that is open all night. The location was great, didn't take long to get anywhere from here and lots to do very nearby. The room had free wifi, and it worked really well. The staff were very friendly... we left early in the morning before the office was open so we weren't able to get our deposit back, but after emailing them they mailed it to our home address!

This hostel has very small rooms with very small private toilets. It is fine to stay very few days and visit the city. The hostel is inside a big building and getting to it with the elevator is difficult and takes time. It is convenient and it has fast wifi.
