Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms, great power shower and discreet but excellent service. Stylist and minimalist interior. Drinking water dispenser in the rooms were a plus. Location convenient next to city mall and subway station.

A perfect place for a Staycation. Amazing staff, excellent food and the view from the Harbour View was so beautiful. The room was so well equipped with Bluetooth speakers, electric shutters, and also they had a filtered water tap and Shampoo and Soap dispensers so no waste of plastic, would give them a 5 star for that. We had a great time. Thank you so much, short and sweet staycation.

We have stayed here a number of times and love this hotel. The harbour view rooms are lovely with top to bottom glass windows. Shanna ensured we had the best experience and all the staff were flexible and accommodated our needs, right down to the lovely cleaning lady who was happy to work around me spending most of the day working. When I had conference calls at 3am they even provided me with a second room to use so I didn't wake my husband up. The sugar bar on the rooftop is a lovely spot for a sundowner cocktail. And the food in the Feast restaurant is superb. We'll definitely staycation there again!

We booked for a staycation over the weekend and glad we didn't for the entire long holiday. One night is plainly enough compared to other staycation in Hong Kong which we had had better experience, East is simply disappointing. Because we checked in late, we asked if we could have a late check out, but the check in girl was quick to tell us they have a full hotel booked and could not allow late check out. When we stayed at Gateway and they really had a full hotel booking, the breakfast queue at their restaurant was there for the entire morning. This morning, the restaurant was only half full and we realized she had been dishonest. You could have said hotel policy says no to late check out, nobody likes to be lied to. The check in girl also did not explain anything about breakfast time and location until we probe further. There were no toothbrushes inside the room until we have to call it in, and only 1 bath robe available. There is no bath tub. The only nice thing abt this hotel is the tea set was satisfying and enjoyable enough among all the other inconveniences we have suffered. The service at Sugar bar was very good and we were happy to come back again, just for the bar,and the food was tasty. So far, we have eliminated this place to hold our wedding, as we do not want our guests to endure bad hotel service. Thank you for the eye opening experience. A 4 star experience ending up feeling like a 3 star and below.

Through a reservation at Klook, we stayed at a harbour view room for staycation with complimentary breakfast and welcome drinks. The check-in process was quick and smooth and the male staff member had provided detailed information on the hotel facilities. The room did not come with a bathtub and the size was not too large yet the view was very nice. Since the restaurant Feast was under renovation when we visited, we had to have our breakfast at the rooftop bar Sugar. It turned out to be a fortune mistake as we could have our breakfast with the sensational sea view. During our stay, we had also came across with another female staff Celia when we needed some recommendations on the places-to-go near the hotel. She was very professional and polite and all our questions were well answered. Highly appreciated!

We had another very good staycation at East Hong Kong Hotel last month, reserved directly through the hotel website where we found best price and deal arrangement. Our stay was very similar to the past and everything went very smoothly from check-in, to meal and bar experience, to sleep quality through check-out.
Rooms are modern, smartly configured, functional and spacious. Lighting, A/C, TV, wifi, safe, fridge, kettle, shower water pressure all worked just fine. Furnishing was as expected and importantly, the bed was very comfortable.
Location is very good is you want to be near an MTR Station and have access to good restaurants, bars and shopping which are a plenty in the Tai Koo and Quarry Bay area. The hotel rooftop bar called Sugar offers incredible views of the harbour when sky conditions are favourable. We had a very good breakfast at Domain Cafe as well. Deliveroo and foodpanda can being meals from a wide range of eateries in the general vicinity.
Overall, very little I can think of that would have improved our staycation at Hotel East last month. This is a good property for Hongkongers seeking a staycation in a nice neighbour area of Hong Kong.

Staying at East Hong Kong is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Good location, highly accessible with just 1 minute walk from the Taikoo MTR station. We stayed for a night for a bridal shower party and we had an awesome stay. What impressed me the most is the warm and attentive services from the lovely teams. Upon reservation stage, Celia is very polite and thoughtful, proactively upgraded us to harbour view room and arranged an early checkin and late checkout, and a free bottle of sparkling wine for celebration. I called to Front Desk close to the checkin date to make arrangement for the bridal shower party and the Manager Alex is very friendly and professional, offer us free upgrade to Harbour view Suite with complimentary snacks and drinks which makes our stay even more enjoyable. He is helpful and proactively offer assistance for decor arrangement which is most appreciated. Upon checkin, Ken is charming and genuine, greeting us with warm smile and very welcoming and smooth checkin. The Suite is spacious with a gorgeous harbour view and a massive bathroom. I love the modern interior design especially the swinging chair and a sense of simplicity. I love the robe as well, it’s very cozy. The hotel breakfast was amazing at the rooftop bar - Sugar on 32/F overlooking the harbour. Last but not least, the attentive service from the house keeping team and we were well taken care of the entire stay. Once again, thank you Alex, Celia and Ken and the rest of the team for making us an enjoyable stay at East. I am looking forward to staying at East Hong Kong again soon.

My wife and I would like to thank all the hotel staff, who provided most friendly and the best guest service during our stay over 14 weeks until 6th August.
We have been frequent room guests at EAST Hong Kong in the last couple of years, and always happy to be there. We love the amazing harbour view, more importantly the people serve us whenever we were there.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to housekeeping staff who replied to our demand with the best sincerely, of which we never experienced in the other hotels. We also would like to thanks reception and ground floor staff for their friendly service and integrity shown to us.
We will be back again whenever we visit Hong Kong.

First time staying at The East hotel and heard good things about it however was slightly disappointing.
Service was normal, room had buildings surrounding it so we had to keep our blinds down all the time. I guess I didn’t expect the buildings to be so close that you could wave at the people in the surrounding buildings. Shower is completely see through and no curtains/walls so definitely have your blinds down when showering and you can only stay with your other half or friends that you don’t mind seeing each other naked. Bed size was good; sound proof was normal (our room opposite had issues several times so could hear housekeeping helping them with vacuum-ing and banging in and out) - we already booked for a corner room hoping it would be quieter.
I stayed there on my actual birthday so they gave me 3 macaroons in a bowl (no name tags/birthday sign) - not that I was expecting anything so guess it was nice of them? It was delivered with the Prosecco included in my package.
The thing I like most was their bath products choice as they smell nice.
All in all, one time was enough and I wish I had chosen to stay with Hari / Lanson Place or Little Tai Hang again at a similar price range.

I really love East Hong Kong! Two times I stayed were given upgrade to the corner room, both city and seaview. The renovated rooms are just clean, modern, the views are just stunning. Although there is no bathtub in the room, I felt like having shower in a Thailand resort (with smell from the lemongrass shampoo and shower gel). This hotel is also not as busy and packed like other hotels in the same class. I could actually own the pool and gym room for most of the time. This is exactly the getaway experience I am looking for when everyone of us can’t travel to overseas. Will definitely return for another staycation!
