Can’t thank you more to the reservation team 🙇🏻‍♀️🙏🏻 they were very helpful 👍🏻 and patience 🥰 on all enquiries from pre-stay throughout the whole stay! Premium Ocean Front room is excellent 🤩 Very spacious, warm home feel and very comfortable. Ocean view is fantastic 😍 Infinity ocean view on Rooftop is ⭐️⭐️⭐️ excellent! Love 🥰 the high tables and sofas on rooftop that providing a very spacious and comfortable place for chill and hangout. Swimming pool is small, depth of water only 1.03m yet good enough for leisure swim. Highly recommend hotel to add umbrellas and sunchairs as a long investment to attract more guests to come. WA Theater Restaurant, the oily smell is quite strong 🤨 Japanese breakfast set is very so~so 😑

We booked bed and breakfast package directly with hotel website . The deluxe room has sea view and balcony. Room is clean and spacious. The breakfast is a set breakfast and only Japanese style of breakfast is provided. There is other choice of breakfast but has to pay HK$185 or more for a set. There are many nice cafe in Sai Kung town. Don’t bother to book bed and breakfast, just book a room and go somewhere else if you are not a fan of Japanese breakfast

The place is generally fine but not impressive. Service is rather aloof. Rooms are average — chose the suite which happened to be divided into 3 small spaces crowded with furniture. You cannot open windows. Some friends chose a larger room with a quite nice balcony. Breakfast was a bit of a disaster — served in a Japanese next to the hotel. The road in front of the hotel is very noisy. The rooftop is the best part of it and it includes a decent pool. Prices are on the high side, especially considering that it was a weekday stay.

This hotel has so much potential to be great but unfortunately it fails to deliver on lots of things that leave you feeling a bit ‘meh’ The seafront location is great but realistically you only get to enjoy that fully if you book the most expensive rooms. We stayed in the ocean front ‘terrace’ room. The terrace is more of a ‘space’ which you can stand in. Basically like most HK style balconies. Room was big and bright but a little tired looking. Tea and coffee facilities but no milk sachets despite having them in the hotel. TV didn’t work properly. Breakfast is ok if you’re happy having rice and noodles. I’m not. Swimming pool area is very nice and the pool is fairly big although only 1 metre deep which is a bit weird. Also no toilet which again is weird. There’s a ‘bar’ which is basically a counter and a person with some eskies to keep drinks cold. Its such a shame the owner doesn’t care enough about this place to make it truly amazing, because it could be. I guess they’re making enough from it already without investing the extra money to make it a true 5* hotel.

Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience at the Pier - the hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment, it looks and feels dated, and our room was insecure (the terrace door didn't shut) and backed onto a public shipyard. In addition, we encountered a used, discarded diaper in the elevator upon checking in, our aircon wasn't working and the room facilities are anything but luxury - I'm incredibly surprised that the hotel is so popular. Furthermore, the customer service was terrible. We initially were told there were no additional rooms available, nothing they could do... only for us to state we were going to leave - and suddenly they found a room on a higher floor. When we eventually insisted on cancelling our stay, they agreed to provide a full refund. However, after 3 weeks, both the accommodation costs, as well as prepayment have been held and not returned to us. Fortunately, I regularly check my bank account and am having to chase them to ensure I receive my funds. It turns out that they 'forgot' to complete the authorisation, were it not for me chasing I would not receive my money. I would encourage all potential guests to instead book an Airbnb in Sai Kung rather than staying at the Pier.

We were excited about our stay bur were immediately disappointed with the greeting we received as well as the checkin. They were taking double deposits and giving wring statements. In addition we received no information whatsoever about the facilities. We went out for the day and checked in later. Overall the room was ok but worn out. One very bad thing though was the air conditioning. It was extremely loud to a point where even with ear plugs it was not possible to sleep. In addition to this, the kitchenette exhaust never turned off either so it just added to the noise. Then in the morning the staff was already vacuuming the carpets in the hallway before 9 am - which again was easily hearable in the room. Overall I do not recommend it - too expensive, dirty and not nice.

Hotel was very nice, it was quite, great view, can get ferrys from the pier to various beaches or a short bus or taxi ride into Sai Kung village. We had dinner at Padstow near by which had good food and good beer.

We showed up a few hours before checkin to drop our luggage and grab lunch across the street. Awesome lunch BTW. Returning 90 minutes after checkin our room still was not ready. They sent us up to the pool with some free drinks, so that helped. Rooms are spacious and up-to-date, but mold in the bathroom and a few other areas leaves cleanliness off my description. I was also suprised to find that the end of our hall, against the window, was where they pike all the trash bags!

My husband and I have just enjoyed two 2 night staycations at The Pier Hotel over the course of two weeks. We booked via Booking.com and had a few issues when we needed to cancel and amend the bookings. All the staff team we were in contact with were most helpful in rearranging our bookings in conjunction with the Booking.com site. We were most impressed. We booked Deluxe Terrace rooms located on the upper floor for both staycations. We loved the rooms - they were spacious, peaceful and the views from our balcony just glorious. We appreciated the kitchenette space - we didn't but if you wanted to self cater you would have the tools to do so (although on our second visit there seemed to be a lack of cutlery and wine glasses). Perhaps housekeeping need to do a better inventory between check ins. We absolutely loved the rooftop terrace in the evenings - a perfect space to chill and relax and admire the view. The pool is nice but it does get a little busy. And so to the breakfast - many reviewers have commented that it is a little lacking. We decided to go to the restaurant each morning rather then have the in room dining option so we can't comment on the quality of that. We both decided to have the Japanese option which is actually very nice and superior to the western choice on offer. It would be nice to have fruit juice provided but to be honest on our second staycation we took our own! It really wasn't a big deal. The staff are absolutely lovely and very charming. We couldn't fault them. We found all members of the hotel staff team very helpful and friendly - especially Alan who greeted us so warmly when we arrived on our second visit and to the lovely Cartier who checked us in. We had no issues at all with any members of staff. We were a little dismayed on our second visit about the film crew that seemed to have taken over the hotel - a rather noisy raucous bunch. It was a little disconcerting to find them wandering along corridors filming ad hoc with their equipment. Didn't impact our stay a great deal but perhaps management could have forwarned guests in advance that it would be taking place. Overall we had a very nice experience at The Pier and would not hesitate to return. We were a little worried by trip advisor reviews we had read prior to arrival but our staycations exceeded all our expectations. As an added bonus we dined every evening at The Padstow across the road. A superb restaurant which added to our overall staycation enjoyment. Thank you to all the team at The Pier - we will see you all again one day soon!
