We stayed at Lodgewood for about 8 months during the pandemic and it was a home to us along with my 2 boys. The price is worth the experience and more. Everyone is accomodating and helpful. They have prompt response to your inquiries and concern. They offer small token of gift during festivities and special occasion that makes the place unique and homey. We enjoyed our stay.Yes,the place is small but everything you need is in there. They have complete amenities, everything you need in your home. I recommend it to family and friends who need a long stay in HongKong and my family is willing to booked the place again when they come back. Thank you Tom, Sharon and others for accomodating us. Thank you also to the staff of Sichuan Lab for our daily breakfast.

Ive stayed in lodgewood in wanchai and when I left, they have found that one plate was missing. In turn they charged 300 hkd for one plate. now, I dont know if they are thinking that plate is made out of gold or what, charging 300hkd for one little plate is just ridiculous. I stayed in another service apartment later, and they charged 30hkd for one plate missing. The apartment service in general is ok, although its abit less service oriented than a hotel. for example, the reception is not 24 /7, etc. Price is not that cheap either, similar to other service apartments in the area, although you do get a bedroom and not a studio. The bedroom is however quite small.

The Lodgewood in Wan Chai is the perfect place for expats in HK to stay when they first arrive. Location is second to none, and all at the management staff are brilliant (especially Mei and Tom). The rooms are quite small, but beautifully decorated and clean. Would recommend for stays up to three months.

I saw mostly negative reviews from previous guest. Was quite skeptical about this place. However it turned out alright so far. Checked in 9pm. Main door was locked. However staffs were still around waiting for us. Check-in process was quite a breeze. Room size was acceptable. Decent living room, bathroom, kitchen n bedroom. If anything you need, supermarts are steps away. Opp wan chai mtr!

I honestly can't wait to get out of here- and would be happy to leave sooner- but this is only my 4th night and we have sadly signed up and already paid for 1 month’s stay. This place has some serious hygiene issues and lacked the most basic necessities for a long term stay. I would never, ever, recommend this place to anyone. Tedious Booking: This place doesn’t reply to emails. You have to contact them by phone, and they are so carefree and tell you to call back a million times- they don’t take advance bookings and you can’t pay by credit card. It was so difficult to organise this from overseas- Absolutely tedious. We only finalized this accommodation a few days before physically arriving- we made a big mistake booking here for 1 month. Size and rooms: The apartment we have is 430sqft. We are regrettably paying a ridiculous $17k HKD a month for this place. This cost doesn’t include utilities- we have yet to receive the ‘bill’ for water/electricity etc. All rooms are microscopic. I have resorted to leaving my luggage outside in the living area and my room mate leaping over her luggage to get to bed at night. You can only take a maximum of three steps in one of the bedrooms and a mere 1 step in the other. There are air cons in both bedrooms- but no heater to be seen- it’s absolutely freezing at night and I found myself shivering myself to sleep. We have since purchased our own heater from the convenience store. The bathroom is also tiny. The door is terribly designed such that you need to squeeze yourself next to the sink in order to allow the door to swing closed or go to the toilet. The kitchen also smells weird and does not fit the refrigerator- which is why it sits in the living room. Amenities: My friend found a stain on her pillow upon arrival and the bed sheets were not even made up professionally. There are plenty of mysterious stains on the 'white' sheeting. Naturally, we found ourselves buying new bedsheets- another sunk cost. Nothing in the kitchen was clean when we arrived- there were plenty of chipped tableware and stained forks and spoons in the kitchen. There's a stove in the tiny kitchen- but with no pots/pans/saucers rendering the stove pretty pointless. We had to go buy an electric kettle, detergent and sponges to do our own cleaning. There was no toilet paper- not even 1 roll- or sheet! What sort of 'service apartment' expects their guests to buy all these necessities themselves? One would think that such petty things should at least be included given the $17k you are paying! The Towels and Bedsheets: The towels were -once- white, but the two that we received were thoroughly stained with suspicious brown spots. My roommate resorted to buying her own. The cleaning: We were advised that they would 'clean' the apartment twice every week. We found the "cleaning" only involved taking out the rubbish (which we had already bagged up neatl)- something we could have completed on our own? We intentionally left the unhygienic towels for them on the floor to replace, but when we returned- the towels were left scrunched up on the floor- untouched. They also didn’t even vacuum the bedrooms. The beds were left unmade. This is not my interpretation of ‘cleaning’ The new towels. We complained about the hygiene of our previous white towels- which were abundant with suspicious stains. We were therefore compensated with 4 'new' olive green towels. Despite the darker olive shade of the ‘new’ towels, the colour still failed to disguise the prominent dried up red blood stain in the middle of the hand towel. This left us absolutely mortified. The shower: There were only two forms of water when showering- ice freezing or boiling hot. Even if you don't touch the taps - the water fluctuates every minute. On the first day I also had to wait 10 minute until there was hot water which lasted for 30 seconds- and reverted back to icy cold. The water was so hot that I was burnt or so cold that I started shivering, I have since learnt to turn off the water regularly throughout my shower and get out of there as soon as possible. Of course, we had to also buy our own hair driver given that this was also not even provided. The noises at night You can hear through the walls all the time as the apartment is well surrounded by residential flats who have good views inside your apartment- leaving limited privacy. There is a fish market that gets fairly noisy at 7am. On my third night, I was awoken by moans from what I suspect was a brothel nearby at 4am one morning, it happened three times consecutively. Absolutely disturbed and mortified I was unable to get back to bed. That night topped off my experience here- and it was only the fourth night! This experience has left me incredibly scarred and disappointed- both it's price and level of cleanliness, I will never be back.
