I'm not sure what kind of lifestyle this building is promoting since there is terrible cigarette smoke that comes in my room every evening. When I complained to the management, they allowed windows in my room to be opened as they are locked due to central air conditioning. They don't enforce the non-smoking rule enough.I lived here years ago but the standard was much higher. The staff is friendly and the amenities are fine. The building is looking run down and needs some TLC, especially a good paint job and some fixing of fixtures. The shuttle bus is great but could run more frequently instead of every hour during the afternoon, and it would be great if it started earlier in the morning. Otherwise there are public buses that can get you to the two MTR stations. The views are great on the sea side. My main complaint is the air quality in the room.…
The cleanliness is the main reason we want to write this review. We have never stayed at any hotel that left us so many rashes. The room was obviously not well cleaned that there were so many marks on the sofa cover and we needed to wipe the chairs before we sat on them. The kitchen amenities were not clean, so as the toilet, there was hair on the towel! The front desk is another reason we won't stay here again, rude enough to drive out consumers. Other than these 2 issues, we were fine with others.
The exterior of hotel LOOK good especially it's against the backdrop of sea and beautiful bridges, even the interior of lobby and room LOOK good too when I entered. However very soon after I took my room, I could realise it is no good at all. Hygienic condition in certain aspects poor. I found a green belt of mold on the exterior of window glass (see pic posted). AWFUL 🤮🤮! I bet the hotel facade has not been washed for decade. Moreover I could get on my bed an unpleasure smell of urine from toilet 🤧(I got it since first day, so it's not my problem). I think the staff should clean the toilet more thoroughly with detergent and air refresher. It's a threat to health especially in these Covid-19 days. Apart from this, other aspects are quite good. Room spacious, well lighted, beddings clean bed comfy, well equipped with locker kettle toiletries fridge Sony TV. Staff nice and helpful. Swimming pool closed due to covid and gym available. There's nothing in the neighbourhood except wonderful views of flyovers, sea and bridges which I love. Transport not a problem as there's free shuttle to Tsuen Wan MTR station and Tsuen Wan West Station, as well as public buses and minibuses to everywhere. At 12am midnight during my 4-night stay, I changed my room as the woman next to my room had been yelling since I returned to my room that evening at about 9pm. I think she's mentally distressed. While paying sympathy to her, I requested for a change of room. The staff is extremely efficient and nice to arrange for me immediately. I then moved to a room without much urine smell in toilet and less moldy on exterior glass walls as I saw. If the hygiene condition is improved, this place will be a quite good choice especially when no tourists are here which makes it more crowded and noisy. …
We had to leave our home for 14 days as we had family returning to HK and quarantining at our home. We chose Bay Bridge as it was close to work and had a reasonable rate. We had initially booked a standard room and were placed on the 11F and it was clean, tidy, quietish and acceptable. However, after the two nights we had to complain as there was a constant smell of cigarette smoke coming into our room. This is advertised as a non-smoking hotel online and also within the rooms and hotel area however some guests are selfish enough to inflict their habit on others. Cathleen, the duty manager kindly upgraded our room (we did not ask) and we swapped to a seaview suite on the 10F. The room was large clean, a little old but that was fine and suited our purpose but again, in the mornings the stench of cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom filter was SO strong! We ordered from the restaurant one evening for take away and whilst a little on the expensive side (and the caesar salad was tiny, more like a small side dish) it was tasty. Overall, it was a nice stay just a massive shame about the perpetuating cigarette smell.…
It is a good choice for staycation. I stayed in 1 bed room with sea view during the stay. The room was big enough and we were surprised that kitchen was included in the room. Also, bathtub was included in the washroom. For me, the room rate is reasonable and we will come again in the nearly future for sure. However, the hotel location a bit far from the city centre, be aware to the hotel shuttle bus schedule, if not, you need to take the public transportation which is not that convenient😉
