We have planned to stay in the beautiful OTTO Hotel for 3 nights. But due to some circumstances we were not able to travel, and the hotel was very responsive and generous to handle this issue. THANK YOU very much to the whole staff of the hotel. We will definitely consider you on out next trip to Hongkong.
Pros: Close to TST subway, obviously many shops and restaurants around, even to crowded for some people. Great blackout curtains. Staff very polite, specially the door mam. Fast and reliable WIFI. Clean room, clean toilet. Great shower. Aircond worked perfect. Cons: Bed was really uncomfortable, hard mattress. Weird smell from the carpet on the entrance of the hotel.
GOOD The staff is relatively better than in other hotels in Hong Kong. The shower is great. Good view from the room. Center of TST. Good decoration. Internet is good. BAD: The street is probably one of the most crowded of HK. It's very hard to walk there. The room is too small The bed is VERY small The pillow is too big and too hard, I could not use it to sleep.
The Otto Hotel is one of the many "upstairs" boutique hotels that arised around the various streets in TST over the year. This was ideally located near Nathan Road and have a clear view of Cameron Road. It's a great spot with lots of food choices all within walking distance. You can check out the numerous "char chan teng" around the area, that have been refurnished with trendy and chic themes. Definitely great for Instagrammers! I would definitely go back again when order and peace is restored in the country.
Hotel check in process was very efficient, we got into the city really early, about 5-6 hours before check in, the receptionist let us leave our bags an told us our room would be about 2 hours, after a 12 hour flight we decided to have a little wander around. After 2 hours we returned and the receptionist had our room ready. The room itself was on the small side, as I imagine most rooms in Hong Kong to be. No room at all to store luggage (we had to keep our suitcases under the bed) but the room was clean, modern and air conditioned with free soft drinks in the mini bar on arrival and water throughout our stay. Staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The location was great, the MTR station was literally across the street so it was so easy to get around the city. No…
This hotel is a gem right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui with the MTR (Metro System) station literally 20 metres opposite the hotel entrance. All the staff is super friendly, from the entrance of the hotel and the receptionists to the maintenance and housekeeping personnel. In particular we would like to thank Tenny and James for their excellent customer service. The rooms are super smartly designed, clean, well ventilated and air-conditioned. There is also a mini bar and as a welcome they feel up 3 soft drinks and waters. Bottled water is also free of charge for the duration of the stay. I highly recommend this hotel which is within minutes of walk to the seafront and the breathtaking views of Hong Kong.
Take bus A21 from the airport to hotel. Upon alighting from the bus, turn right, left on the forst corner Cameron road. Walk straight down about 50 meters. The hotel is across the road. Check in was a breeze. The room is modern with comfy beds. Cleanliness though was a letdown. The ledge by the wimdow had hand smudges all over as well as the bathroom counter. The next day, September 24, when we arrived late afternoon, we noticed the toilet was not cleaned & heaven knows what else. With all the positive reviews, this was quite a disappointment. The following day however, September 25, housekeeping did a good job in cleaning the room. Shout out to Angela & Jessica who were always so helpful. To Frankie & Roby for the assistance getting a cab & carrying our rather heavy…
Stayed here from 26-30 September 2019. From check-in up to check-out, everything went smoothly. I was granted a room upgrade since the reception staff noticed that I’m celebrating my birthday during my stay. Requests are accommodated very quickly (I requested for extra pillows). Quality of sleep is very good as the rooms are very quiet. They also have comfortable beds. What I love about this hotel is the proximity to everything - malls, transportation, and etc. They also have a great view of Kowloon as shown in the picture. I’m definitely staying here again when I go back to HK!!!
We have stayed here a couple of times now and there are lots of hotels like this in Hong Kong. You will always be looking to pay around this price to avoid the hostels and the huge fees of the larger hotels. I would even say Hong Kong specializes in Hotels like this. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the location is excellent to get anywhere else in the city as you have access to the MTR just outside. Lots of hotels offer a similar deal in terms of rooms and location so the reason we choose the Otto is that the staff are so welcoming and warm, from the doorman to the reception to the maids, all are lovely and warm and in a city of many almost identical hotels, it makes all the difference.
We spent 3 nights here while vacationing in Hong Kong and had a great time! The hotel staff were very friendly during check-in/out, the doormen graciously greeted us and got the elevator door upon each arrival, and rooms clean. I loved the shower- great pressure and liked the automated shower curtain! The location of the hotel is great!! You are right in the heart of things to do, restaurants, bars, MTR, etc but yet the room was very quite and our room was even overlooking Cameron Road. My one complaint was that the beds were very firm. Overall- great stay!!
