We booked our stay via Agoda (flight+hotel) and we got a fair deal for both. However, what I wasn't prepared for was the hotel's room size. It was a small twin room with a small space to even move around in. Small bedroom, small space, small cabinets, etc. When you think about it, the twin room of the Otto Hotel is a pretty decent place to stay for short business trips, like overnight to a weekend trip. However, if you are going to stay in HK for more than just 3 days with a roommate, the twin room size would not even be enough for both you and your respective luggages and clothes. In our case, we stayed for 5 days, 4 nights, and we bought clothes and shoes for the duration of our stay. Well, we got what we paid for. That's my fault. in any case, there are a lot of other good things at the Otto Hotel. The room is always clean. The bathroom is spotless. The aircon, for one, is superb. Its cooling effect is quick and efficient. The hot water for the shower and the lavatory is excellent. The fresh towel replacements are done daily (initiative of the housekeeping, i guess, though we didn't request for a change in towels). Shampoo and toiletries are well-supplied. I just miss the presence of a bidet on the toilet... (Dear Otto Hotel: please install bidets on your toilets) The coffee/tea/creamer/sugar tray is well stocked daily, and the complementary water bottles are restocked daily. The mini-bar has complementary 3 cans of soda (any excess consumption of canned sodas beyond 3 will be charged to your card. So avoid touching the re-stock of canned drinks in the ref. Just drink the first 3 cans!) The super-duper-best part of the Otto Hotel is the LOCATION!. Located at Cameron Road in TST, it is a hop-skip and jump away from the MTR, ATMs, big malls the big and small restaurants of chinese, and western food, and the park. It's a good one for business or short trips. Will likely consider The Otto Hotel again when I travel to HK.

This easy to miss hotel because of the small entrance packs a good value mainly for it's location. The ongoing heavy construction next door from about 8:30am-5pm was the major annoyance during our 4-day stay. Fortunately we had an upper floor room which made the noise a bit more tolerable. On the whole, the positives far outweigh the noise problems. The best part of this hotel was it's location. It was walking distance to a lot of local foods and to attractions like the Star Ferry, Harbor Terminal, MRT stations etc. The staff at the front desk, which was on the 3rd floor, was very friendly and helpful. Despite arriving early, we were able to leave our bags there before check-in time. When asked about food recommendations, they pointed out the Red Tea Cafe right across the street. It turned out to be a very busy place serving typical Hongkong fare that was excellent and very affordable, The room itself was small, around 200 sq ft but well designed with good blackout shades. There was a small fridge and safe and USB ports. We were given 3 cans of soft drinks for our stay plus 2 bottles of water every day. Security was good with card access to the elevators and room. Soundproofing between rooms was good. The design of the AC seemed to have the fan running on low constantly so it'd blow a draft across the sleeping area. So we had the AC off when we slept. There is a selection of stations on the TV but strangely, no local Hongkong stations. Free Wi-Fi speed was very adequate. Overall, we enjoyed our stay mostly because we did not spend much time in the room during construction hours and the housekeeping kept the room fresh daily.

I came here for my solo staycation to celebrate my birthday. I discovered The Otto for the first time when I searched for hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui and picked it based on the positive reviews. I was not disappointed. I wanted to wake up in the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong, and The Otto is in the heart of the heart of everything. The room's on the smaller side, but a good size for a solo staycation. Luckily for me, I didn't have any noise issues or hear my neighbours' activities. I enjoyed peace and tranquility. The Otto is a great bargain for their unbeatable location. By saving money on accommodation, I got to allocate my budget to other enjoyable activities, such as movies and food.

The soundproof work of this hotel really need to improve. You can hear everything your next door is doing, e.g., talking on the phone, watching TV, packing, etc. And the noise got quite loud and obvious at night. Wifi is poor with slow connection. Room had a weird, unpleasant humid smell and the bathroom smelt like vomit between 8-9pm every night. The bed was quite narrow and small. The only nice thing about this hotel is the location.

I never rant about hotels but this is my WORST experience ever. Super disappointed with the customer service and the manager’s attitude. The air conditioner is always dropping dirty yellow droplets, on the floor, on my chair, on the outlets (which is a major electrical hazard). I saw tiny white bugs beside my bed. The washroom does not get the AC. The staff keep calling my phone when I say do not disturb. The cleaning guy touched my clothes and under wear while I was gone (I found out because he folded it, which is violating my privacy / uncomfortable) . Most importantly, they have hidden fees. The phone says I can make international calls but they didn’t say that there was a charge. I only knew when I went to the front desk and then they randomly slapped a $160 fee right in my face. Actually at first they said $22, so although I was already surprised, I gave in and paid. Theb they called me a few hours later to tell me I have to pay an additional $130 which I was shocked at because first of all, it never said I had to pay and when I asked the front desk to help me activate the long distance, he never mentioned it to me. Secondly, I would’ve just used wifi to call then if I knew. Thirdly, I don’t mind if I have to pay, but I absolutely am disgusted at hidden fees and false advertising, it is super unethical and unacceptable behaviour.

Very convenient location. A hassle free, clean and convenient hotel. Would recommend to young couples, or small families. Super budget friendly. Lots of restaurants closeby, right outside the MTR exit. Smack middle of TST

Stayed for 8 nights here. What I like about the hotel: - Great location, 1 mins to Tsim Sha Tsui B2 exit. Easily to access many restaurants and - Nice deco, wooden floor, contemporary simple design. good size of TV. The have space for suitcase (otherwise the room is quite small) - At the moment really good price Something you need to consider: - I stayed in standard room and the size is quite small (15 sm) but I stayed alone so quite ok. - The table they provide is quite small so if you need bigger table for doing work won't be convenient Something I don't like: - Sound proof is really poor. I can hear the noise / talking from the room next door if their voice is a bit loud. The first night I need to called reception to ask the next room to lower the voice. In general it is a very good hotel and worth staying with the price of room, however if you are shallow sleeper you need to think twice to be honest.

There's not much that could be improved for this hotel. Location is perfect: taxis, metro, airport shuttle are just around the corner and many places can be reached quite conveniently by foot (if weather allows it). I enjoyed the excellent room, with a great bed, fantastic bathroom, high quality wifi and a nice view. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Even the security guards were friendly and always in good mood. Not the cheapest place but definitely worth every penny. Would immediately decide to stay here again next time I'm in HK.
