Housekeeping service does demonstrate that the hotel is a 5 stars hotel, as a long stay guest, same mistakes happens too many times. However, their concierge service is superb. Especially to Max, Holly and Zoe, their services are outstanding. During my stay, there’s only one restaurant which I would say is more a cafe. Although there’ll be a Chinese restaurant opening soon, it would also be good if there is an English restaurant too.

Very happy & grateful. Those are the feelings that dominated our 4 night stays in this hotel. The staffs are super duper helpful, professional, and cheerful. I didn't expect that kind of hospitality from hotel staffs during peak season like festive holidays. I often experienced bad/below expectation service during peak season and if we demanded better attention, they usually gave excuses rather than solutions. But it was not happening in One Eight One Hotel & Serviced Residences. Their staffs welcomed us happily and genuinely, give proper attention on our needs, and even treated us as if we are their family/long time friends. From the manager, supervisor, front desk team, concierge team, even the housekeeping team, they showed same manner. Amazing. I wonder how they got the energy and warm hearts like that. My family and I are so grateful to receive such a kind service from Zoe, Nicky, Ahmed, Max, Stacy, Kevin, Douglas, and all the team that I forgot their names (sorry). Congratulations to all of you & the Management for proving your strong commitment to give your best to your guests. I hope all of you are as happy as we are, knowing that you did a great job and have proven that you worked in the right industry with the right team. The hotel has all the facilities and amenities you need with great interior and quality. The fact that the location is not in the prime touristy area, actually become additional benefit for us: less traffic, less noise, more peaceful. So easy to find transportation to take you everywhere and not expensive to reach the central/downtown of Hongkong. It's a walking distance to the HKU MTR Station. Easily can find 7Elevens, coffee shops incl. Starbucks, restaurants, drug stores, etc. The view from our room were facing to the harbour which is undeniably beautiful. They provide a self service laundry room, 24hr gym, play stations room, etc. If you are moslem like us, there are a halal restaurant nearby or you just can simply ask the hotel staff and they will be happily help you to find some options, complete with the map 😁 I really want to share more good experiences before, during, and even after we stay in this hotel. But, I will let you to experience yourself by placing your book to this hotel when you are in Hongkong, whether for pleasure or business. And fyi, after travelling to many places and countries, this is the first time where I sent a flower bouquet for the hotel staffs, to show my gratitude of how lucky we are to stay at One Eight One Hotel & Serviced Residences Hongkong. My happiness is beyond words. I really hope they can keep up the excellent works and I wish they keep being happy human beings so they can keep sharing the good vibes to every guests they serve. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is very spacious and clean. It also has a wonderful view Harbour sea view. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Stayed for 7 nights here with my son. Very clean and comfortable bed and pillow. The harbor view room is amazing, the urban view room—not so much. There is only one restaurant they have, and unfortunately the menu is too limited. But a lot of restaurants nearby, stores, liquor store, japanese supermarket, etc. Great concierge service, thank you Holly Chung the concierge guy who always helped me carry my things after tiring shopping days!

I have to say that my 9 night stay at this hotel was the best hotel experience I have had in all my stays in Hong Kong. Apart from the super-friendly and attentive staff at reception, the very helpful concierge team, and the great room cleaning, it was such a joy to enter a room that did not feel like the size of a shoe box, as most hotels in Hong Kong do! The king-size bed was comfortable and firm, and I appreciated the storage space, fridge, plenty of bottled water, and kettle. The bathroom was massive for Hong Kong standards, with a very well-functioning shower. I chose the non-ocean view room as it was cheaper, but quite honestly, it made no difference to the enjoyment of my stay as the room was very pleasant. The hotel is superbly located with the HKU metro station and plenty of buses and trams nearby. It is also located by the seafront, and I enjoyed my walks along there, especially in the evening. I will not hesitate to return there, and highly recommend it to others.…

After my 38 days of staying in 181 Hotel, I highly commend the staff for their hospitality and professionalism—especially the staff at the concierge and front desk manager who consistently shows up with thorough care, initiation and positivity. The room service was also very efficient and quick to provide. Most importantly, every employee in the hotel was extremely considerate and handled all interactions with a friendly, yet courteous attitude. I highly recommend 181 Hotel—in fact, it is the most satisfactory hotel that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I will choose this hotel again when I return to Hong Kong next time and will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Stayed here in March 2023. Cannot recommend the hotel enough. Rooms are modern, spacious and very well equipped. Location is very convenient for the MTR subway, you can get to Central in less than 15 minutes, plus loads of restaurants and shops within 1 minute walk from the hotel. But the best thing was the service - every single member of staff from front office to concierge to restaurant were kind and helpful. I would especially point out Catherine in sales and Max the concierge. Amazing hotel

We stayed here for 28 days. Service was top-notch. From reception and concierge to restaurant service, all were exceptional. The one staff who stood out was Jeffrey, the concierge on duty on our arrival, who gave us excellent attention to detail. We went to Japan after our stay at this hotel. Jeffrey stored and delivered our luggage to the other hotel where we stayed after our trip. What a service! The weakest link of this hotel service is Housekeeping, which is average at best. Weird things happened here and there: a pile of towels left on our chair, and I wasn’t sure if they were clean or used. A towel was left in our sink with hairs underneath. A cleaner removed a dish detergent provided by Housekeeping for us to use during our stay. When we asked about it, they returned a watered-down bottle. Our room was dusty all through our stay. I brought 6 Swiffers with me for dusting due to my allergy to dust. The first one was matted and useless after dusting only half the headboard. I used up all my Swiffers in 10 days and had to rely on anti-histamine during the last part of my stay. What follows is a summary of our review of this hotel: Room: Very spacious and bright, with a great ocean view. What is missing is a work desk. Shower stall: Great water pressure and very clean. Bed: Very comfortable, although we didn’t like the pillows. Guest Service corrected this issue quickly by providing us with a pillow menu, and we chose the Memory Foam Neck Pillows, and they were better. Restaurant: Excellent food. Very clean with excellent service. Unfortunately, the menu is quite limited. We did enjoy a delicious Valentine’s Day Special Set dinner here on Valentine’s Day. Location: 8-10 minutes walk to MTR HKU Station, one of the Hong Kong Island Line stops. It is not an easy walk for people with mobility problems, but it was manageable for us. There are numerous eateries nearby, but they are not classy, just your neighbourhood drop-in or take-out places. One negative issue about this hotel is the Air Filtration System. Every early morning around 6 to 7 am, I would wake up smelling burnt food and grease. After putting up with that for days, I raised this issue with Management. The Manager dropped into our room to investigate and moved us to a different room. I still smelled the cooking in the new room, but it was no longer smoky. Despite the few negative points I brought up, we still love this hotel and will stay here again. Its location is not as central as I wish, but the service here is excellent. They met all our requests right away with a positive attitude and courtesy. I want to thank Jodie in the Marketing team, who gave us a tour of their one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. I would consider them in my future stay. Every member of the Concierge group was super friendly, making our stay very enjoyable. This hotel felt like a home away from home. …
