Very welcoming staff! Rooms are clean, beds with chic mattresses and pillows, daily change of bed linen, bathrobes, towels and slippers! The hotel location is excellent! Nearby all public transport: bus, subway, tram. The hotel has a FREE laundry, which is rare for me, where laundry and washing services are available! There are minor flaws in the room (the plinth has moved away a little, in the shower a little water stone on the tiles), but these are all small things, and, fat pluses, allow you to turn a blind eye or not notice at all. We booked a room without breakfast, as it is cheaper to eat in cafes, of which there are an insane number, both outside the hotel and in the whole of Hong Kong! I believe we made the right choice when booking this hotel, in our price category. To all the hotel staff, thank you very much and say the warmest words!

As a Mainland visitor, this hotel offers a great experience and is close to Exit B of Hong Kong Grand Station. Although the most entry-level rooms are booked, the rooms are large enough in Hong Kong. The staff were very welcoming, the language was fine in Mandarin and the English was very good. The room has a water purifier and I'll send plenty of bottled water when I know I don't like it. As a sports person, I have to shower twice a day. Having a free washer and dryer is an absolute plus in a Hong Kong hotel, and the hotel has two extra bath towels for me to change. The room is ready to charge Qi, but it's a pity that the walls are all USB-A instead of Type C. The table is a bit small for me and I hope to be able to use a desk instead of a round table in the future. Overall, nothing to complain about, good value for money.

My husband and I decided to take a long vacation early April,2024, we spent a total of 11 nights at 181 Connaught Road West, Hong Kong. When we travel, we usually look for a hotel that can give us a sense of home away from home. As soon as we embarked, Kelvin, the Assistant Chief Concierge greeted us warmly. He and his team of staff gave us good directions to places. When I mentioned that we looked for a place like home, the hotel provides free washer and dryer usage conveniently located next to a well equipped gym. The beds are most comfortable, amenities are all good. The room is big enough for a table and chairs. Not to mention the view is amazing day and night. The location of the hotel is so conveniently located at trendy Kennedy Town and close to the flyovers that take us to the airport in less than 30 minutes. I also used their Shuttle Bus in the morning to sneak out for solo shopping. Please keep up the good work ! We intend to visit again soon! Christine and Eddie, two happy travelers from Vancouver, Canada.

A 4 star hotel in a more residential part of Hong Kong. If you’re looking to party late, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a quieter area with large, modern rooms, good service, don’t need a swimming pool, and prefer to eat outside the hotel premises, this is a great option.
I’ve stayed 9 nights so far, with 3 more to go. I booked a basic urban king bed room with breakfast option, averaging HKD 1,500 per night. The room is very clean and spacious, has all the modern amenities and most importantly, both the ventilation system and the water pressure function flawlessly. It’s been crazy hot over the past 9 days and my room maintains a comfy 21C, and 20C for sleeping.
The workout room is nice with good, new equipment. A few fans would definitely help, and I don’t think everyone wipes down the machines to the extent I do after usage. An awesome perk that I’ve never experienced anywhere else is the free laundry! And the dryers, unlike some I’ve tried in other hotels, actually work really well!
A few misses: 1) I wish the night light underneath the sink in the bathroom turns off! It’s too bright for sleeping, so I close the bathroom door, but that means the bathroom temperature and humidity stay high throughout the night. 2) The bed in my room was old and worn; both sides of the king bed concave down. I didn’t want to seem high maintenance, but after a few nights, couldn’t take it and mentioned the issue to Douglas at the front desk. Immediate action was taken, first flipping the bed to see if it made a difference. It didn’t, so then I mentioned it to Andy, and they swapped out the mattress. So much better now and I truly appreciate the efficient service. 3) The breakfast buffet is “good” if compared to North American standards, but rather weak for Asia. The dim sum, the congee, tomatoes and eggs are pretty on point. The coffee and the bread, however, is simply not good. Charging HKD 128 for this basic buffet is pretty hefty, but I paid upfront for breakfast inclusion, so make due with eating lots of fruit.
All in all, a good stay and given I visit HK pretty much every year, this hotel definitely makes it to the “to be considered” list for future visits.

All services in the hotel are like home away from home, especially the service attitude of everyone in the concierge department. Holly ching is especially eager and has a very good feeling about all the details of the hotel. We have enjoyed the feeling of being at home this month. I can recommend it - Great hotel, thank you The only thing is that the quality of the restaurant is innovative but not actually delicious. It is not suitable for guests. The price is not popular and there are not many choices. What a pity!
There are also suggestions. Such a new hotel should retrofit smart toilets and replace flush buttons - the buttons are too hard for children to control, please improve.
Long-term residents should provide dishwashing liquid. In addition, rooms are only cleaned twice a week, and cups and dishes cannot be cleaned immediately.

Holly Chung was very enthusiastic in helping me carry my luggage. Every time she saw me carrying my luggage, she would immediately ask if I needed help. When my family and I were traveling with suitcases, we would considerately ask if we needed help calling a taxi. Water, shower gel, conditioner and shampoo in the room are replenished regularly. Body cream will also be provided if needed. The water is 750ml, which is a big bottle. Coffee, instant noodles and other items will also be provided in the room. The view outside the room is also very good, it is a beautiful sea view. The service is very attentive. If three people live there, you can also apply for extra bed service, which is very convenient.

Having previously lived in Hong Kong for more than twenty years, I decided to return there to celebrate my 80th birthday. I wanted to stay in a quality hotel but without paying the extortionate prices of the city centre hotels and chose the One-Eight-One. As soon as I opened the door of my 21st floor room, I knew I had made a superb choice. Facing me was a floor to ceiling window running the length of its wall and overlooking the western end of Hong Kong’s magnificent harbour and the three West Kowloon bridges. I don’t know how much time I spent over the next two weeks just looking down at the view of the various boats moving across the water against the backdrop of Hong Kong's high rise skyline. My room was spacious with modern and tasteful furnishings and fittings and every accessory provided for travellers from dressing gown and slippers to an adaptor; there was even a birthday balloon to greet me in my room. The ensuite was a good size with an easily operable overhead shower and with handhold and non-slip floor for old folks like me. The room was was always cleaned and tidied when I returned at the end of every day and the hotel overall was clean and well maintained throughout. All the staff I met during my visit were friendly, helpful and efficient and I mention in particular the Maitre d’ in The Praya restaurant (I didn’t eat there but he served my late night gin & tonics), Bruce (one of the concierges) who was so very helpful, and the lady who cleaned my room who always gave me a cheerful ‘good morning’ when I saw her. If I return to Hong Kong I will definitely stay at the 181, if only to push the ‘Curtain Up’ button by my bedside and waken to the sight of Hong Kong harbour.

We spent the entire month of February at the Oasis Aurum. I am in a wheelchair, and the room and the hotel were ideal. Especially good was the large bathroom, a good third of the 350 sq ft room. It had all the necessary modifications for a wheelchair user – the sink, the toilet and the shower. It was also sufficiently big that we could store a large motorised wheelchair – and absolutely essential to navigate the extreme hilly terrain of H-K – when it was not in use. The hotel was well located, a 10 minute walk to the MTR subway station which led to the elevator to HKU. It was also surrounded by restaurants and shops, including several grocery stores and bakeries. The staff were always helpful and knowledgeable. We especially appreciated the doormen – they were all male – who were very helpful in getting and opening elevators as well as assisting us in getting in and out of taxis. Bruce Liu, one of the doormen, was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. His English was flawless and spoken with no accent.

Our family of eight stayed at this hotel for four nights, five days
I would not say the location is the best since this is not Central. But the price was also fair because of the location.
We faced difficulty with our diet preference because we are pure vegetarian, but the staff was very hospitable and considered every request we made . Special shout out to Ken, Surey and Karen for being kind enough to make our stay comfortable!

Thank you very much to my little brother who helped me checkin in the early hours of March 12th. My English was not very good but he was patient because the travel agent sent my request late, which led me to check in, and the travel agent told the little brother at the front desk that I needed the room until it was almost 2 o'clock in the night. It was really moving, but I'm really sorry I forgot to ask his name. Bruce Lvi helped me carry such heavy luggage at checkout until I got on the bus smoothly, housekeeping's katy sister was concerned about my life and living, volunteered to help me tidy up my room, also helped me save clothes that I almost sold, the whole hotel service was warm, was the best value hotel I've ever stayed in Hong Kong, the hotel is big and new, the sea view room is spectacular during the day, snacks and soft drinks are available, so surprise, next time I'll stay here, out Metro 3 minutes, downstairs 711, dining and late night, so convenient!
