In the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, Hotel Hart offers stylish yet affordable accommodation, redefining the image of a modern hotel. Comfort and style go hand in hand and the cold, grey aesthetic in the public places contrasts with the warmer, oaken bedroom flooring and soft, interior fittings that make a distinction wonderfully with glass-walled standing showers, and the outlined walls and furniture of rusty iron tones combine for an unforgettable stay. Raw, concrete and white brick-work are of a purity to enchant and created through industrial chic and a casual, elegant décor. Out of the windows there are stunning views over the streets of the city. The hotel is of a contemporary design but uniquely fresh and sophisticated and will be appreciated by visitors who are either young travellers or groovy baby-boomers. The fine Hotel Hart is hospitable and tasteful yet with a personal feeling, heady atmosphere and embracing flair.

I have been visited this hotel on 29-31 January 2024 which I have surprised that my room that I have booked was very small, but anyway Im so happy with Mr.Evan Yeung, I met him in the morning on 30th and 31th, he was very helpful and very attentive to the customers, all my questions he can answered. Service is very important in hotel hospitality so, he did it. Thank you & Happy New Year.
PS.Hotel's location is very very good.

The hotel has minimal design, with wooden furniture and no excessive decoration. It is quite comfortable.
We checked in at 15:30. The hotel lobby was empty with no staff. Some guests’ baggage were left unattended. We waited for around 5 minutes, finally a staff came back. We requested for a room not located on the same floor as the hotel lobby. The male Front Desk staff was unfriendly and said that there was no room available except that room and claimed that we would need to wait for another 2 hours (17:30). If the hotel lobby was packed with long queue, I definitely understand. However, at that time, the lobby had no other guests. I hoped he could be more kind and eager to help guests.

Room with bright lighting , comfortable air-con system and high water pressure showering. You can enjoy a relaxing shower in this hotel. Sound resistant between room to room is not strong enough here, you can hear clearly people in next room talking. But overall with this price is super reasonable and valuable. Highly recommend to those who are active in “night life”.

The Hart, unlike how you find the heart in the center. This quaint industrial hotel is located on Hart Avenue, in a popular place in Hongkong called Tsim Sha Tsui. It's a peculiar hotel with a lobby on the top rather than the ground floor. The first thing that made sense to me was how a particular fragrant tickled my nose. It reminded me of fresh flowers and the smell of the rain when it hits the ground after a very long hot day. As I entered the space, I looked up and saw the lighting fixture hanging overhead giving the reception area as a sense of mystery. There was just enough light. Shadows played here and there against the concrete finish of the wall and the black details gave the whole space its own distinct character. As masculine as it may look, I didn't miss noticing the fresh flowers placed at the end of the reception table and a shallow wooden bowl with a metal engraving that says key drop. The interior design of the space was minimal but the accent spoke volumes. The staff at the reception area weren't overly friendly. Just enough, I guess, to get us by. Our room was small but it didn't feel suffocating. It was just enough for a traveling couple ready to explore Hong Kong. I loved our first room (we extended and requested a bigger room). Drinking water was provided, fresh towels, a comfortable bed, and bathing needs like shampoo, conditioner, and the body were also some of the little nice perks. I heartfully love our stay at The Hart.

I accidentally booked the wrong dates. And I requested as soon as possible if we can at least change the date. I only had to amend by a day — instead of 5-6, just 4-5 as I’ve mixed up my flights. I’m only in HK for an 11 pm - 2 pm layover.
Great customer service would have been replying to my messages first. Asking the situation and assessed from there. They could have at least offered a fine or price adjustment and increased what I had to pay for. Or insisted I book again first the correct dates before agreeing to cancel my original booking.
Agoda specifically indicates that the hotel can grant your cancellation request even when it is supposed to be non-cancellable.
I know it’s my fault for booking the wrong dates. But as a business in a SERVICE industry, there should be at least some form of service done, like replying and offering options. Even if they said no, I would have appreciated a proper, human response from them.
STAY AWAY. If they can’t even be considerate about this (honestly, they could have just asked me to pay extra and I would have been ok with it versus wasting the money I’ve already spent), imagine the actual service you’ll receive staying in the hotel.

Extremely poor sound insulation! Got woken up multiple times by flowing water and party music at night. The staff couldn’t help because “water pipes are everywhere”.
Network speed is not impressive either.
One of the worst that I’ve stayed

This hotel worked well during a recent stay in Hong Kong. The hotel had its annoyances, but overall represented good value for money in an outstanding locations.
The rooms are super small and super modern. I'd take this over big and boring any day of the week .The rooms are sleekly and minimalistically designed. The use of a very small space has been maximised - but compromises have been made in functionality. For example; -my room had no table or powerpoint near the head of the bed - which isn't helpful for a world of smart-phones which need charging or if you wanted to reach for a bottle of water. - my bag took up the whole floor. Unfortunately it was too big to slide under the bed due to the inconvenient location of the safe in a middle draw. - the coat rack was not high enough to hand a shirt without 20cm of my coats resting against the bench. A hook on the back of the door would be an easy/cheap way to fix this.
I've read the complaints on here about noisy air-conditioning. Personally, the heat and humidity in Hong Kong was so oppressive outdoors that I enjoyed the fantastic effective cooling and didn't turn it off at any stage when I was in the room. I slept wonderfully well despite the bed being harder than what I'm used to - and was more comfortable than most of the hotels I've stayed at in China/Korea on this trip.
Things the hotel did really really well: - The foyer is modern, minimal and really elegant. Love the clever design of the lounge and lighting. - Reception staff are exceptionally helpful, polite and explain practical things - this is something more hotels should try doing - The room smartphone for use in the city with an included data connection is a fantastic idea for navigation and contained great tips on touring around. This is particularly useful if you don't have a phone with international roaming.
Things the hotel need to improve on: - The foyer. It is, without a doubt, the most unfriendly corridor of an entry to a hotel I've ever had. There is no signage at street/eye level; it is exceptionally narrow due to construction hoarding and the lifts are not synchronised and shared with other restaurants on lower floors. - Internet speed. These are OK for web-browsing, but video calls were difficult and web experience was a little slow. This would not be adequate for many modern tourist and business travellers. - TV stations. The hotel is in a very international part of Hong Kong, but there were a lack of TV stations such as BBC News, AustraliaPlus, CNN, international sports channels etc. - Their response to TripAdvisor reviews. I'm expecting one of the two standard responses which have been used for all reviews on here and don't really address specific feedback provided. - Hotel compendium - possibly in the smartphone app. No information of practical use could be found in here.
Tips for a better stay: - Use the lift at Exit N1 from the metro station (step-free access 30m from the hotel). Google Maps gives you completely the wrong suggestion of D5, which has lots of stairs and brings you out 10 minutes of weaving through footpaths away in the heat and humidity. This was not a pleasant arrival experience for us. - Use the tunnels at the train station to get around. These are cool, ordered, quick and well sign-posted. Getting around at street level involved narrow footpaths, scaffolding to weave through and air-conditioner compressors in above apartments which drip on you. - There are some great coffee shops nearby - use the smartphone info in the room or a good Google search to find these. There are both upmarket malls and cheap+cheerful local establishments.

I really wanted to like this hotel but there were just too many things that made our stay really uncomfortable. Yes, the rooms are tiny but that's not actually the issue (similar hotels in London and Berlin are just as small and can be great value for money). The main issue is that there has been no thought given to actually making the rooms comfortable. The beds are really hard (like a plank of wood), the bathroom walls are clear glass (even in the Superior rooms) so there is zero privacy in the shower or toilet, and the air conditioner is WAY too powerful for the room (even on its lowest setting) and points directly at the bed (it's like having the car window down in winter). I actually lost my voice after the 2nd night because of all the cold air gusting down my throat. We slept terribly our whole stay and couldn't wait to leave (which is a shame because Hong Kong is such an amazing city and this hotel has such a fabulous location). We would not stay again.

I stayed here for 2 nights in November 2018 and was very disappointed with this hotel. I payed just under $500 AUD per night! I also had to provide a deposit of about $100 AUD upfront. I highly recommend you (BOOK IN ADVANCE) the demand must of been high for the particular dates I needed, keep in mind accommodation in Hong Kong is not cheap.
The room itself was too small even for one person. The toilet is literally half a meter from your feet when laying in the bed. I had no room to lay my luggage out.
A positive is the location, this hotel is right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui and a small walk to the Star Ferry Pier. A side note is the hotel can be hard to find, there was no real signage. You need to take an elevator to get to the main lobby.
Unfortunately I cant recommend this hotel and would advise you to look around at other options.

I throughly enjoyed my stay here for two nights. Rooms were spotless but they were small, however I will not complain because I paid £55 for two nights stay. When you open the room door the bed is literally two foot in front of the door Can’t beat the low price for a prime location. Provided two heated eye patches which was thoughtful and helped relax after an exhausting flight. Would stay again

Use the Google Translate App. We found a lot of people in Hong Kong no longer speak English or understand it like they did many years ago.
We used google translate and kept a screen shot to show the taxi or bus driver. It worked perfectly!
Hi Monica,
A more economical and convenient way is to take the airport bus A21 from the airport and get off at either #13 (Cameron Rd) or #16 (Mody Rd - which is probably closer). Once you get on the bus there are digital indicators which stop it is. It's $33HKD and takes about an hour.
See here: w w w. hongkong. net / transportation / to-from-airport / bus / a21
