This is the first time we stayed in this hotel. The hotel room size is gd and bathroom amenities are sufficient. From comb, toothbrush, cotton pads, to sanitary bags etc. There are disposable slippers in the room. There is a shower and if is clean and modern. The bed is very comfortable. It is within walkable distant from kowloon bay mtr. We loved the idea how this once factory building is re purpose as a hotel. We have booked a room with garden. Unfortunately all the plant is dead and there is really not a lot of outdoor space. A bit of a disappointment. However the hotel does provide free wifi, fruits, chips and soft drinks free. There is a neoexpresso machine but no capsules though. However there are separate nescafe coffee granules and teabags. The check in and check out staff are very friendly and efficient. They do try to help. Loved the decorations in the lobby and explanations. A great stay overall.…

I booked a double room king bed with breakfast included for one night last night. The room was clean, the room quiet, and the bed comfortable, but we were shocked when we got to the restaurant in the morning, we saw that it was closed, and all we got was a bag with a bagel—not even coffee or tea. Why do they offer this option if the restaurant is closed? or at least, why don't they specify that this is the breakfast they offer? I complained to the guy at the counter, but apart from some apologies, I didn't get anything else. Really disappointing. A pity, because the room was quite ok. We could have considered coming here again, but not after this bad experience. One more thing: it's not a good idea to put the smoke detector right on top of the bed having the flashing light on the whole night.…

I was visiting family and friends in Hong Kong over the Christmas and New Year holiday, and stayed at Camlux for my mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine at the beginning of December, before the designated hotel policy came into force. There were two highlights - the super comfortable bed and the patio. The bed was more comfortable than my own bed (!); the room was one of their 'Garden Rooms' on the fourth floor which has a patio - this is a very unique feature of this hotel, I think very few hotels in Hong Kong can offer something similar. When I enquired, the friendly Front Desk staff kindly provided me with a simple plastic chair so I could sit in the patio to get some fresh air every day (as well as do some jumping jacks). Don't expect too much of a 'view' though as the plants were basic; I could see several other guests' patios had stone panels which could be used as make shift seats. For my patio I would often see birds land on the top of the branches; for a few mornings I woke up to birdsong which was very nice. I really enjoyed having that patio. Due to COVID, breakfast was delivered to my door every day, the daily set comprised a sandwich, a piece of fruit, half a pint of fruit juice and a yogurt, it was healthy enough and the amount was just right for me. Fortunately deliveries were allowed, and these were brought to my room swiftly every time, within 10 mins of them having arrived at Reception. The bathroom shower’s water pressure was consistently strong; loved the design of the bathroom items and amenity kits! While the size of the room itself was average, I noticed the ceiling of the room was higher than most of the hotels I've stayed before which made me feel less 'boxed in'. it might not have been designed for someone to stay for 2 weeks but the space was absolutely fine for me 'working from home'. All in all it was a great stay, I would recommend it whether you are on a business trip, if you just needed a change of scenery or a bit of space for yourself.…

In Hong Kong for a day for business and was recommended to stay at this hotel. The appearance was modest and understated. As soon as I walked into the invitingly cozy lobby, I had a feeling that this was a good decision. The lighting in the corridor outside of guest rooms were calming and with good taste. My room was the smallest studio. Nicely decorated and rivals any room in top chains visually. Must come back next time visiting Hong Kong.

Just a quick stop on my way to the airport for a refreshing shower and a nap. Very nice industrial deco elements. Room was nice, clean-ish... and very quiet. It's located next to some shopping mall, where you can also try local cuisine and also international.

I always recommend this hotel to business partners because it is walking distance away from my office. Had to stay at this hotel a few times because of the recent traffic situation. I also stayed in this hotel before last year, so I think this hotel is aging quite well. The room is very clean, comfortable and spacious with industrial yet warm ambiance which suits the site's history. I like the lighting fixtures that uses the body of the flask as decoration. My room was facing the bus depot across the street, noise isn't a problem. Although it has flood lights coming into the room, closing the curtain solved the problem. Arrived at 6pm for check-in, the restaurant was already closed, but it is understandable due to the traffic situation. KITEC Emax mall is just around the corner, so I went there for dinner. If not the hotel has vending machine for cup noodles, snacks and soft drinks if it is getting late. Check-in and check-out is fast without any problem.…

The Camlux Hotel is based in what used to be a 1980s thermos flask in an industrial area of Hong Kong. It has opened recently and has been sensitively converted from industrial to hotel use. There are great industrial heritage photographs on the ground floor in the restaurant. The hotel is still owned by the manufacturing company, whose production has been moved to mainland China but flasks are on sale in reception!

By Hong Kong standards, we paid a very fair price for a decent-sized room. Its location in Kowloon Bay meant we were able to explore Sai Kung easily. Its proximity to a major mall, with regular shuttle bus connections meant it was not as inaccessible as we thought it would be. Even a cab ride from Lan Kwai Fung after our clubbing sessions cost no more than HKD120. The room had everything we needed.

Amazing hotel in between some of the universities and schools. The hotel quiet and friendly staff, the bed is very comfortable. The hotel just 800m away from the telford plaza and the metro station with free shuttle service.
