This hotel is everything you expect from a Disney hotel, the theming was point, the atmosphere was lovely, reception hall was oh so grand, we booked via booking.com so had a room stuck in the corner, BUT the room was still amazing, staff were ok, but where it lacks the Disney magic is it’s relationship with the parks, in LA, Orlando and Paris you get early park entry, in Hong Kong there is not that reward, We did not have any character interaction in our hotel but we could of missed that, over all I still rate Hong Kong Disneyland Explorers Lodge ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The staff here a very friendly and nice. The place offers a free shuttle from Sunny Bay MTR, which would have been handy to know when we were due to check-in. But alas, we know now. The shuttle takes you from the hotel to Disneyland which is about a 5 minute bus ride. Check in was smooth, and whilst we requested an early check-in months prior, they said to ask on arrival. We did only to be told to wait until normal check-in time at 3pm. So we thought requesting an early check-in is futile, but then suddenly they said they had a room available and allowed us to check-in early, which was a sigh of relief. We rested for a bit then made our way to Disneyland. The room is spacious and the decor is nice. The amenities are good, with a water filling station in the room too! You get a vanity kit in a tin which can be used as a pencil case for the kids and lovely slippers too. The stay here was very expensive and you do not get any discount if you were to then purchase tickets for Disneyland, which is disappointing not to get even a little discount on entrance tickets. We also ate at one on their on-site restaurants (World of Colour) which was great, but again, very expensive, but what can I say...it is Disney! I probably wouldn't stay in a Disney hotel again...only because I probably cannot afford to, but I would recommend it to those that can/or want a treat. My room cost nearly £300 and no discount on park tickets, no breakfast included, just a room, but wanted it to treat my mum as she has not visited Disneyland Hong Kong before.…

My partner and I went to Disneyland HK as part of our Honeymoon, we decided to stay over at Explorers Lodge so we could make the most of it. The experience was first class, to start the day we made the most of the free shuttle bus and dropped our bag off at the dedicated drop-off, which allowed us to enjoy the park without having to worry about carrying our luggage. The stay itself was first class, the theming of the lobby and the rooms is fantastic, and the room we got benefitted from beautiful views of the sea and was incredibly spacious. We bought the breakfast offer package which meant we got a breakfast buffet at the Dragon Wind, which had all our favourites from Char Sui buns, to Mickey shaped waffles, but the best part was the complimentary photoshoot with Minney Mouse. The staff were really helpful and spoke great English too.…

…maybe not that small, but definitely a house…a home, and yes, in hk, shes still our home away from home… …besides last mother’s day, we haven’t had the chance to stay till last weekend, due to busy schedules, going out of town, etc …so, it was really nice to be back…we wanted to watch Momentous (4th time) & since it would end late, we decided might as well make it an overnighter at the Lodge, too.. …based on previous visits, the hotel is busier, higher occupancy rate, seeing lots of people checking in, dining at the restaurants, relaxing at the pool, gardens, etc …we noticed some changes to the F&B menus…there’s lots of creatively new activities available for kids and adults…shuttle bus coming in from the park/resort station always seemed full …really glad to see the changes in atmosphere, more vibrant, alive…. rooms’ overall condition & cleanliness are still well maintained… housekeeping staff on floor never fail to acknowledge you with a smile or greeting …but with all that going on, castmembers/hotel staff are seen obviously taking all in stride, surely trying their best to serve any guest needing assistance, even simply answering queries…everyone’s working hard and doing their part to keep customers comfortable during their visit/stay at the happiest place on earth …so, future visitors, even with 2 other disney hotels to choose from, after a day at the park or exploring HK, trust me that DEL will always be the best choice if you want a more laid back/relaxing, quiet, resort hotel atmosphere to come home to … tip: the evenings and early mornings are the best times for the garden picnics or walks by the sea… …as mentioned, all castmembers/staff are more than happy to assist you anytime…but if you ever meet Patrick or Kit @DragonWind…or Jack, KC, Ivy & Joe @ lobby/front desk, trust that you will be in good hands, just as we were ….’thanks, y’all …see you next time soon!’…

The Explorer Lodge is truly family friendly. There’s a staff giving out Halloween candies and stickers to the kids waiting for check-in. This made our wait shorter apparently. We had dinner at the World of Colour. The food was delicious and the service was good. Breakfast at the Dragon Wind was included in our plan. We loved the wide spread of food. However, the dining time for each table was limited to 60 minutes. I think it’s too short for a buffet. The only disappointment was that we weren’t able to take photos with Mickey. We did see him in the lobby when we arrived, but we weren’t able to take pictures as the staff stopped people from lining up. I asked the staff when we could see the Disney friends, and the answer was they would show up when they showed up. We ended up taking pictures only with Goofy at breakfast. I hope the hotel can give us some ideas of when the Disney friends will appear.…

A stay where the magic begins, the hotel is nicely located and with the free shuttle bus to the mrt and Disney resort itself, which makes it a perfect one if you want to take a short break or rest after half day in Disney, you can re enter the Disneyland later in the day for the firework Hotel room is spacious and nicely decorated, there is a Disney merchant shop just at level 1 The only down side is the food price and choices, At the proximity of the hotel there is no other place to get food. Very clean Staff was very friendly and knowledge. Could smile a bit more. Disney theme hotel, include extracurricular activities that my family appreciated. Shutter bus runs often and is a lifesaver as we were able to go back to the hotel for a short rest.
