This is a racist, some of you may not know but in Hong Kong there is a racist slur in Chinese for middle eastern people and that slur is pronounced as “ Ah Cha”. You can see it clearly from the photo that the middle eastern guy was referred as that. I am so shocked, how can a hotel do this? I will forward it to as many people as possible and make sure people know about this.
Pros: Clean room, location close to everything you may need, including subway and airport bus. Good wifi connection. Polite staff. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Shower pressure was perfect. Cons: Room was incredible small, I know is HK but this one is for sure smaller than average for the same price range hotels. There is not place even for 1 suitcase. Elevator can be annoying as there is a restaurant in the building, so several times you have to wait more than ussual.
GOOD Internet is fast The shower is great The pillows were good The air-con worked well The staff was friendly enough Center of TST BAD The room is way too small for us. We did not have space to put the bags. The street downstairs was really crowded. Impressive. There is a restaurant on the 3rd floor. It's annoying to share the elevator with people that are not from the hotel.
Positives: + 'Protests prices' - about HK $350 (£35ish) per night - made it very good value for money. + Excellent location. A few minutes walk to Tsim Sha Tsui metro station. Lots going on in local Kowloon area. 15 minutes from hotel door to Hong Kong island. + Relatively newly furnished and clean room. Optimal use of space. + Wall-to-wall windows make room feel bright and have reasonable views. + Espresso coffee machine in reception (free/unlimited use) Negatives: - Got tear gassed a couple of times entering/exiting the hotel - not Hotel's fault.... - ...However, one evening while standing in the ground floor concierge area, a manager came and shouted at me unpleasantly - ordering me to go to room immediately (due to protesting going on in the street outside). Ironically, where she stood to shout at me actually set-off the sensor in the (closed) automatic door, thereby letting in lots of tear gas, causing us all to cough and cry a lot. No apology for this. - Rooms are very small, even by HK standards. Fine for one person, but think two people may struggle for space. The toilet is only about 1.5m away from the pillow area on the bed.…
Very pleased with my stay at Attitude on Granville. The check-in is on the 5th floor and then the actual rooms are on the upper floors. I arrived very early so while I could check in, I couldn't get my room until later, which was fine because I was in no rush. My room was on the 15th floor and I was expecting tiny but my room was bigger than my entire apartment in Shanghai. The room rates were heavily discounted (thanks to the issues going on in HK) so I really lucked out. The ONLY issue was the comfort of the bed - a bit "rock-like." But the pillows and comforter were great and very soft. The shower was huge and the water pressure was also exceptional. I really enjoyed the "vibe" of the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be in the thick of TST, especially the shopping area and right down the street from the MTR. I would definitely stay here again for a short weekend.…
