Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.

Arrived here early evening after a hectic day in China -- sheer relief. Great welcome, lovely room (Alexa - the e-concierge - is amazing) and an inspirational veg dinner at the restaurant. The hotel is right in the middle of town, just steps away from Tai Kwun, a beautifully

Whilst the hotel is clean and staff are lovely and super helpful, it is super noisy at night and you cannot sleep. There are heaps of nightclubs that start cranking up the music around 11pm. We started out on the 12th floor, and it was so loud - you could hear every word, and

This was a last minute booking and I was concerned having read the most recent reviews but I’m glad I went ahead and booked it as it is a great boutique hotel in between Lan Kwai Fong and Soho in central. The check in was friendly and straightforward without too much fuss and

Dear treiciasyn, As mentioned by others of the community already, our hotel is located above LKF and a 10-15min walk up the stairs and slope is required to reach us. When arriving in HK-Station / Central with luggage, a taxi for the price of HKD 40-50 is recommended. Once arrived at our hotel, our team can provide some tips & tricks to avoid most of the stairs when coming form Central station. You may consider taking the Mid-Level escalator from Queens Road (leaving Central station at Exit D1 or D2) up to Hollywood Road. From there, it is just a short stroll to our Hotel in Arbuthnot Road. Total journey time about 15-20min but guaranteed less stairs and slopes. Please let us know if you have further questions treiciasyn, we look forward to welcome you at our Ovolo Central. All the best, Stefan Borm Hotel Manager

"The higher the better for good views."
"Streets are busy, higher = quieter"
"Higher floors are usually a little less noisy on the weekends with the craziness of LKF nearby."
"Light sleepers may prefer a room on a high floor as the bars and clubs down the hill in Lan Kwai Fong can get quite rowdy."
"Go higher to be further from the LKF sounds"
