Hotel is 2 blocks from a walking street where there are malls and great restaurants.

Breakfast is great, you can eat food from all over the world (this is why is a bit pricey but it’s worth it)

I had dinner 3 days in a row, coffee and desserts at the lobby bar everyday and highly recommend the food.

Room and bathroom were clean, spacious, comfortable

Staff is super friendly. Some of them don’t speak English but the concierges always helped out when I had a language barrier.

I requested extra water and they sent a robot out to deliver it! Lol it was the highlight of my stay.

Our stay of 3 nights in a corner suite was perfect. We felt at home from the moment we walked in, the room layout was great for a family of 3.
The lounge on the 17th floor serves great breakfast in a calm atmosphere.
The location is perfect to explore Beijing, walking distance to forbidden city, plus the closest subway station is 200m away.
The Wan Li restaurant on site also serves great duck.

The location of the hotel is perfect for my trip. The interior design of the lobby and the small decor in the corridor and in the room matches the theme of its location, right next to the forbidden city. The planning of the use of space were well implemented, and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay.
I stayed at this hotel for about 3 weeks including the 10.1 golden week. There were times that were packed and also times with only a few guests, but the staff at the hotel would do their best to serve regardlessly, from the concierge, front desk, the lady who make up my room, and every staff at the lounge. I enjoyed my experience here very much. Thank you!

Stayed there for three nights. Got an upgrade with my membership. Nice suite just the bathroom and toilet are separate and they were at different end of the room which is a bit inconvenient.

Had problem from the moment I checked in. No information on breakfast and lounge opening. Apparently they don’t even have a welcome letter.

The lounge food is one of the worst I have ever tasted. Served Italian biscuit in half, stale bread sandwich. And very limited choice.

Most staff couldn’t speak English.

Bedroom was clean except the phone which was very dirty. And the one in the lounge didn’t work.

No where to put shower gels inside the shower... which is strange as you either have to hold onto the bottle or leave it on the floor.

Complained to the Guest Relations and requested to escalate to their General Manager. Ignored completely and they just find a different person to reply you. Wrote to their GM who is supposingly the Chair of Marriott North China Council. No response either. I think it just showed how much they don’t value customers.

This is by far the worst Renaissance Hotel I stayed. The other Renaissance in Beijing is better. I eventually moved to another hotel as couldn’t stand this hotel anymore.

FnB staff is polite and efficient though. And breakfast varieties is good. And location is good also.
So if you don’t need services then this one is not that bad.

This hotel is located near Wangfujing shopping district and not too far away from the Forbidden City. Hotel has impressive lobby, but rooms are smallish. Some of them don’t have any view at all, just a concrete wall. And the air conditioning is way too warm, about 26 degrees no matter how you adjust it. But the beds are amazing. And breakfast is nice. And staff speaks exceptionally good English.

We stayed two nights in the hotel and loved everything about it. I must start by thanking concierge Isaac. He was so incredibly attentive to all of our needs. He reserved a driver for us to go to the great wall, helped us by our forbidden city tickets online, and answered any other questions we had. The decorations of giant bookshelves in the lobby were very fun. We thoroughly enjoyed the club lounge, and had amazing food for breakfast and dinner there. The alcohol was also included up to a certain time. Views from the lounge were beautiful of the city. It was also only about a 25 or 30 minute walk from Tiananmen Square in the forbidden city. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quite spacious. We would absolutely recommend staying here!

The hotel is located within walking distance to the Wangfujing pedestrian street where many shoppings and great foods (peking ducks) can be easily found. The hotel is very clean and neat and the staffs are very helpful. Modern looking and spacious room. The lounge is also very nice overlooking the forbidden city.

It is fine from the total especially about the location and the cheap price.
On the one hand, firstly from the side such as location,it is really close to Wangfujing Main Street, perhaps 3 to 5 mins on foot. Secondly, the price is really cheap than other hotels around the same area.
On the other, the hotel should pay more attention on the security part( the photo shows)

Went to Beijing for the 1st time and stayed at the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel from 9-15 Nov '23. It was a very pleasant experience! The hotel is conveniently located near Wangfujing shopping area, just a 10-minute walk down a straight road. The area is very safe, with a convenient store directly across from the hotel. The room rate is very affordable, and the room itself is spacious and well-maintained.

The hotel staff at the reception, including Sarah, are very professional and helpful. The concierge staff is equally helpful. Most of the staff can speak English, although it was not a big issue for us as I speak Mandarin.

I want to mention the restaurant manager, Joyce (I think that's her name), at the lounge restaurant. She recognized us from dinner the night before and came to greet us at breakfast when she saw us. This is customer service and definitely worth a mention. If you are visiting Beijing 1st time, Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing is an absolute good choice. If I go back there again, will definitely choose to stay here again!
