Superb service and friendly, helpful staff. Great location in Hutong which, if you’re an urban hiker, allows you to walk to many major sites in Beijing. The breakfasts were impeccable and delicious. The environment is relaxing and calming within the great metropolis of Beijing. Clean, courteous, and comfort with style. This will be my location of choice for return visits.

Fantastic location: in the middle of a hutong area, going out of the hotel you can spend easily half a day with just wondering around and contemplating this traditional way of life. Still, it's in the city centre, close to 2 subway lines, the Forbidden city, the Jingshan Park, the Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven can be easily reached by public transportation. Fantastic inner design: traditional Chinese set up, cool and cosy, big garden with little fish pond - kids love it daytime, parents love it at night when contemplating the stary sky with a glass of wine. Fantastic service: friendly and helpful staff, VERY good breakfast (cool design, a mixture of western breakfast with a redisegned traditional local delicacies - we simply loved it). We spent there 5 nights, cold have spent there another 5 easily, not getting bored with it. Had a really good time there, unforgettable memories.

We had wonderful stay at this boutique hotel situated in an authentic Hutong. Very quiet location, and an easy to walk to shops, restaurants and the subway. Beautifully decorated, clean rooms opening onto a communal courtyard. Great staff, English was spoken, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Exceptional stay in a charming traditional style. The food and restaurant is excellent with great views across the Hutong rooftops. An authentic experience, staying within the Chinese community, local residents are playing mah jong and socialising.

A wonderful stay at this boutique hotel situated in a Hutong. Very quiet location but easy to walk to commercial areas and taxis are cheap also the subway is close. Beautifully decorated with local furniture and accessories giving it a unique quirky feel. Rooms located on the ground floor around a courtyard setting. Fresh tasty food, dinner and drinks prices very reasonable. Staff are friendly and professional, nothing is too much trouble. Exceptional

Approaching the hotel is a fascinating experience, as local residents enjoy playing mah jhong and socialising outside their homes. Once through the gates, you enter into a hidden courtyard of great beauty and charm. Rooms are arranged around this and our family room was furnished in a charming traditional style. The restaurant is excellent with views across the Hutong rooftops. The staff were very kind and helpful and we felt very welcome. One minor quibble is that the bathroom floor in our room needs refinishing as bits of paint were coming off on our feet, but overall this was a superb experience in the heart of Beijing.

Ancient China meets modern amenities in this fantastic hotel. In the middle of an old Houtong sits my new favorite hotel. The hotel is beautiful and masterfully comfortable. The hotel is classically chinese but has modern conveniences such as a fantastic shower and bidet. The food at the restaurant is delicious. The chef prepares an artistic and delicious breakfast every morning . Make sure to visit the restaurant for dinner. The real heart of Cote Couer and where it really shines is the employees. All of them are polite and many speak impeccable English . They are very service oriented and professional . It pained us to leave but we will be back. TaoTao is the perfect mascot for the hotel . He is fun to watch and adds beautiful personality to the hotel. This will be my go to hotel in Beijing.

The hotel is really beautiful and gives you a wonderful feeling of life in old style Beijing. Everything is kept in a traditional style, with furniture and decorations all having an antique look. Bathrooms however are very modern and nice. The greatest asset of this hotel is its staff. They are extraordinary with their friendly demeanor and great service. I really cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Location Off the main road by at least 1km. Many taxis, especially large MPVs refused to come in due to its location in the hutong. It’s tight alley. Be prepared to walk. Long walk... Ask driver to drive in during night especially family with kids. Look for the big Red lanterns and a Lincoln 😆😆😆. Environment Inside the hutong, so you would get an experience of how local’s neighbourhood is.. not too bad.. good experience. Hotel Premises As most pics here already shows much of the premises. Beautiful local hotel. Nice, quiet place during our visit.. sound proofing is ok. No complains. Staff Very friendly, accommodating and able to speak English. Room As shown in other pics. It’s nice. Abit small. Need to shift furniture around to accommodate 3 large fully open luggages. Warming facility is good during winter stay. Abit dusty. Extra pillows are dusty.. There’s even a spider (whatever you call that.. Tiny bodies, long tiny legs😆😆😆).. Shower facilities is good with hot water. No disruption. Standard of room is actually on par with international brands. King size bed suitable for family of 2+1 kid below 12. Breakfast Very nicely done.. food is prepared individually, sort of like semi buffet. But can have as much eggs and whatever you wanna.. there’s vegetarian options and during my stay, no pork due to seasonal.. 🤔🤔🤔But it’s ok as we don’t take pork too.. In house 🐈 Cute. Real cute. Overall Good experiences. If you wanna experience Beijing hutong, THIS is the place to stay. It’s not for fussy guest. 👍👍👍

What a lovely experience! We really enjoyed our stayed at the hotel. The hotel room was clean, well decorated and had heated floors for our visit during Beijings winter. They have staff that speaks english so they were able to help us with any question we had. The breakfast was included which was delicious , the day of our departure which was at 3 am, they arrenged the taxi and gave us breakfast to go. I highly recommend it, it is 10 minutes walk to Dongsi station and close to many shops and restaurants.

Best hotel we stayed in in China. Rooms spacious, bathrooms great, lovely outside space outside the rooms, lovely living area with books to borrow, nice inner courtyard with fish pond and Buddha all lit up in the evening, cute cat and really good breakfasts. Friendly staff. Thanks for a great stay. Only thing to consider is it is about a 15 minute walk to the metro and you can’t take a taxi as you are in the hutongs but we were ok with this - just might be a consideration if you have lots of luggage - we just had a small wheelie carry on case each. Great stay. We loved it. 👍
