Nestled in a prime location, the Regent Beijing is a gem for many guests, who commend its easy access to shopping, landmarks, and public transport. The hotel boasts an elegant ambiance with rooms that are spacious and praised for their cleanliness. While the rooms are generally well-received, a few guests have mentioned issues with lighting and smoke odors.
The service is often described as professional and attentive, although occasional inconsistencies have been reported. Luxurious amenities, including a well-stocked minibar and high-quality breakfast, contribute to the hotel's appeal, but opinions on value for money do vary.

Really enjoyable stay at this hotel!
Check in was smooth, I was able to check in at 7am after paying half the room rate which I was happy about. Room upgraded to a king suite which was fabulous, very spacious with a huge bathroom. Bathroom had a large bath with a tv screen and nice toiletries. Minibar and bottled water were replenished daily.
Standard of food at this hotel was very good. I ended up eating here every day of my stay. In particular I had a wonderful meal at Daccapo the Italian restaurant.
Staff had a basic but good level of English (especially good for Beijing) and always did their best to understand. I found service to be excellent, when I had a question about my IHG benefits a direct line was opened with the duty manager who was very helpful.
Location is excellent, a short walk to Wangfujing shopping street, the Forbidden city etc and if you are a walker like me, a long walk to Beihai park and the bell and drum towers. Hotel is close to a number of metro stops which were easy to navigate.
I would definitely stay here again! Thank you regent for a great stay :)

We arrived 1 day before the actual day of arrival...we were checked in without any problems. The rooms were large, clean and very well equipped. The staff responsible for the rooms is highly attentive, adding mouse pads if necessary, or providing little velcro tapes for your loose wires and cables. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and caters for international and national tastes. There is enough staff present to bring coffee/tea. This is done in small iso pots, which makes for a comfortable breakfast. Only the internet connection is not stable or fast. Regardless of whether with or without VPN. Overall, the REGENT is highly recommended and, due to its location close to the sights, very good for tourist purposes or for appointments within the 2nd ring road.

IHG member but this was our first time staying at a Regent property. The location is brilliant, you can walk to the main sights, places to eat, shop and also the subway is right next door to the hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise. It is true that some of the room furnishings are perhaps a little dated but overall this is fine and the main thing that stands out about this hotel is the level of service and club lounge....
Concierge - Yina was great, I had emailed a few times before we arrived to arrange airport transfer and she introduced herself when we checked in and offered advice on tours and went out of her way to check the latest on ticket availability. She was so friendly and helpful.
Regent Lounge - all I can say is WOW, this is the best club lounge of any hotel we have stayed, the view, the food offering, breakfast, afternoon tea are all great and steps ahead of other hotel brands but best of all the service and management by Gary Chen and his team was just outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and he was always walking around the lounge to check everything was just right. He should be commended for running such a great space. Just one tiny example of the level of service, the lounge team walk you to the elevator, press the call button and wait for you to leave every single time, it's such a small detail but it made you feel so special and a was a lovely touch.
We would stay at this hotel again and also try out other Regent hotels.

+1
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful hotel! Well decorated, spacious, and clean, with an elegant, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. The staff members are courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet is quite good. I appreciated that my room was always well stocked with water bottles. No need to pack your shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrush, or toothpaste--you will find that (and more) in your room.

Firstly, as a non-Chinese speaking guest, it was very much appreciated to have English-speaking employees, it just helped get over and around some hurdles. The room was excellent, the entire lobby staff were outstanding, the gentlemen helping us in and out of our taxis were great, and the location was ideal as it was a short walk to key shops, transport, malls, and various landmarks. The ladies (concierge) were extremely helpful and the room was set up beautifully for my wife's birthday. There was a genuine touch of class in all aspects, loved the Karl Lagerfeld display, the Xmas display, the Aston Martin, and the bar/cafe spaces. A special mention must go to Emily and her team in the Wellness and Spa centre, she was brilliant and made every effort to accommodate all of my requests, she has to be "employee of the month"!!!

It is almost Christmas, many hotels have decorated the Christmas tree, Beijing is still very cold in winter, the environment in the lobby of the Regent hotel is clean and bright, the room is also very warm, there is no problem to wear short sleeves, the breakfast is very rich, people are dazzled, whether it is the front desk staff, the restaurant staff, or the cleaning aunt. The service attitude is very friendly, giving people the feeling of home,
The transportation of the hotel is also very convenient, next to the subway Line 5, it is also very close to Wangfujing, the Regent Hotel will be my first choice next time

Bad service. Let me start by saying that the hotel staff does not speak English. We tried to order a taxi from the hotel staff, we had to explain for 15 minutes in all languages and with our hands pointing to the address of the place on the phone what we wanted. Complete misunderstanding. The water in the room ran out, we also spent about 10 minutes drawing and writing to the reception staff on a piece of paper - bring water to the room. None of the 4 people at the reception knew the word “water” in English. At breakfast, the waiters don't know the word "coffee, tea" in English. They stand there blinking their eyes. We have already started using a translator from English to Chinese from our phone. This is unacceptable for a 5* hotel. Train your reception staff in a minimum set of words in English. You are in the center of Beijing, you have guests from different countries. It turned out that only 1 manager spoke English - Matthew, who helped with check-in at night and assisted in ordering late dinners. Also the careless and inattentive attitude of the staff in the restaurant at breakfast. We were shown to a table where we ordered coffee, tea and a plate of food. We haven't even touched the food yet. Let's go get dessert. We returned and the manager Dylan seated a crowd of Chinese at our table, who were already sitting eating from our plates. We are extremely outraged by this behavior. Manager Dylan stood there grinning a wry, satisfied smile, “Oh, sorry.” Maybe he needs the privileges and gratitude of the Chinese? Dylan, did not offer us to move to another place or somehow influence (transplant) those Chinese whom he had already seated at our table with our food. Complete inaction. As we stood there with a plate of food, we went to look for a table ourselves. Low level. Dear tourists, if you are expecting service here, there is none. The hotel is in good condition after the pandemic. City center. Everything is conveniently located. But the level does not correspond to the declared one. They ruined the mood and impression of the hotel.

My family and I stayed in two rooms for four nights. When we checked in, Kevin at the front desk was very enthusiastic to help us upgrade and carefully searched and arranged for my parents to stay in the next room, which really greatly improved our experience. Thank you very much! The hotel is in an excellent location. It is just a few steps away from Dengshikou subway station. From there, you can go to most tourist attractions, or walk to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street to eat Dadong's roast duck. The attitude of each waiter in the hotel is very good. One day we left a message suggesting that Sprite be replaced with Coke. The waiter did not remove the Sprite but added Coke. The small service made us very comfortable. In short, I will choose to stay here again when I come to Beijing!
