We were happy about the prompt service that Park Plaza has provided to us. For instance, we needed one extra set of pillow and blanket which were brought to us immediately. We mentioned about the need for more drinking water which was resolved on time. The self-service laundry service was extremely helpful, making Park Plaza a second home away from home. The in-room coffee machine was an amazing idea. Later on, we stayed at a five-star hotel in Guangzhou and to our disappointment, this kind of coffee machine was only available for more expensive rooms.
I would like to make a few suggestions here, if you don't mind. There's tea and coffee sachets in the rooms, but no sugar sachets. If the show and the bath can be separated, we would be more likely to use the bath.
Overall, Park Plaza is to be recommended for family trips.

This is a wonderful hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The kingsize bed was extremely comfortable. The window view was pleasant. The bathroom was filled with plush towels and a good number of hygiene condiments, eg shampoo, sewing kit, gel etc. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was delightful. The free wifi was easy to use and fast. The bizarre dimension was that we were there over the Chinese New Year and corona virus event. The city of Beijing was shut down. The hotel was empty as was Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing St, and the Forbidden City (closed). At breakfast the dining room was empty. But none of this takes away from the quality of this hotel. We’d definitely stay here again.

A central location made this hotel a good choice. Walking distance to shopping and transport
The staff were always helpful and sorted out where we had messed up our booking with a broken day in the middle from a misunderstanding with our agent.
The room was as you'd expect, comfortable traditional hotel style, clean and well kept. A comfortable bed and all the usual amenities. Looked onto a city street/laneway but quiet from road noise and Air-con point of view.
Breakfast was extensive with various styles of oriental and western available, chef on hand to cook extras. Hard to not eat everything. Loved the Miso soup.
Enjoyed sipping a G&T in the downstairs bar in the evening.

We booked our stay at the Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing for our family because my wife and I had such a great experience 18 years ago before we had kids. This time around, we had two kids and a grandma along.

Our experience was an order of magnitude better this time around! We booked three rooms, two adjoining for the kids and us and one across for grandma. The front desk and in particular, Kevin Li, accommodated our request for everyone to be close and made this happen for us and we deeply appreciated this as I had not thought to request this in our initial reservation.

The rooms themselves were amazing. They were clean, well anointed, and well maintained. The pillows, bedding, mattress were fresh, clean, and so comfortable! In particular, I especially love the crisp, dry towels. The rooms were equipped with Nespresso machines that allows us to enjoy coffee and expresso every morning and hot water heater for tea. We also used the gym for the first few days because we were jet lagged and it suited us perfectly.

From a location perspective, the hotel is situated in central downtown, next to the Bank of China for easy withdrawal and two lines of subway, one within a minute walk and the other line within 5 minutes walk. It's 10 minutes subway ride to the Forbidden City and 10 minutes Qianhai and Beihai park.

The absolute highlight of our stay was Erick Zhang at the concierge desk. We had communicated with him a few weeks prior to our stay to ask for advice and help during our stay. Erick arranged a private shuttle for us from the airport to our hotel, with a driver that met us at the airport with our name on a placard. He found local tour guides for the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace who spoken Mardarin for the sake our my wife and her mother (and out kids who were trying to learn Mardarin) for 1/3 the prices of tours on other sites. Erick had flawless restaurant recommendations for us from the high end restaurant to enjoy the most refined Beijing dining experience to the local Beijing fast food for a quick bite (which was a huge, huge hit for our kids). Finally, Erick was able to get us high speed rail tickets for our trip to Guangzhou in southern China from Beijing. All this was arranged prior to our trip!

Because of Erick, we were able to enjoy our trip from the get -go!

It's safe to say that this was one of our best hotel stays ever.

Hotel was great! Location is very convenient for sight seeing as it is only 5min walk to subway, visiting Summer Palace (30min), Forbidden City (20min), Lama Temple (5min walking & 4 train stops), padestian shopping street (15min walk). Starbucks is just outside the door and Da Dong is in the shopping mall across the road (best Peking Duck). Hotel has free laundry facility (small but convenient). Family room is spacious. No issues with noise and staff all speak English and are super helpful/friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay at Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing. It is in a "nook" off the main roads in a green leafy area, so it is quieter and felt quite peaceful and lovely. It was great to explore hutongs (we bought a lighter from the service window of a little store there) and the modern shopping areas nearby. (We recommend trying a restaurant nearby called The Soup Kitchen. It's actually Cantonese cuisine but it was tasty and affordable and the service was excellent.)

The service at the hotel was also great. The front desk, concierge, restaurant, maintenance and cleaning staff were all friendly and helpful. They also have folding wheelchairs on site available for loan.

It's not a modern hotel, the decor is quite old school, but the rooms and ensuites were clean, spacious and well laid out. In particular, it was nice to have an ensuite that had a solid door!

There were only a couple negatives. The air conditioning did not seem to work very well. No matter what I set the temperature at, the room did not seem to get warmer. Luckily, I didn't find the temperature too bad so I just wore an extra layer. The maintenance staff were very responsive to a request by my family to look at the air conditioning in their room, so I'm sure they would have addressed it if I had asked. My window also leaked water after a massive downpour of rain one night. The cleaners took care of the pooled water the next day.

I was a bit stressed when choosing a hotel for our 4-night trip to Beijing, in the end I was very happy to have chosen this hotel. I highly recommend Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing!

(Tip: If you search 'Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing' in Google Maps, it gives you the wrong location. Searching the Chinese name 'Liting Hotel Beijing" gives a more accurate result. Or use a Chinese map app!)

Pros ·
Although located along a busy street, the hotel is located behind another hotel, making it extra quiet. The subway stops in the building, but you have to get out of the building at one side and back in at the other side to get into the hotel (just a 2 minute walk).
We had a less mobile person in our party of 9 and we were given a wheelchair to assist.

Cons ·
No swimming pool and no arrangements to go and swim in the adjacent hotel's pool located in the same building.

I don't know what everyone else is raving about.

I was woken up on a Sunday morning to the sound of banging from renovations. Apparently they couldn't wait until the floor was properly vacated before commencing the carpet replacement.

The overall hotel decor and layout is very dated compared to modern hotels and the bathroom of the standard rooms feels a bit claustrophobic.

The location is great and general service is quite alright.

A nice 4 star hotel situated at Wangfujing. The room is sizeable and comfy with good water pressure for shower. However, sound proofing not as good as I was disturbed in due to guest moving furniture and packing luggages in early morning 4am. Housekeeping needed improvement as the shower gel and shampoo in my room was empty before I checked in. Found 2 small bugs in my room as well. But receptionists were professional and friendly as they apologized and offered to change room for me upon receiving my complaints.
