The good
Great hotel, modern decor, situated 2 minutes from the tube station (Line 8, Guozai Meisui) taking the tube is much better than the cab as Beijing could be very congested at rush hours. Major attractions are mostly a few stops away.
The bad
The Wifi kept loosing connection and it was a major letdown
As the hotel is situated by the main road, we could hear cars honking at around 8a.m though we stayed on 10th floor.

We chose this hotel for our very first stay in China and were very happy to have booked this hotel for our activities in Beijing for 4 nights. The hotel has an elegant lobby and is clean, and we were greeted in English at reception. In the other areas such as the club lounge, restaurant or concierge, someone always spoke English, and if no one was available, an employee was even called after work.
We had breakfast in both the club and the restaurant and cannot complain about the selection or quality. We also had dinner in the restaurant, and here too we always found the food to be good. A daily highlight was the afternoon tea in the club with super delicious cakes and sandwiches.
The location of the hotel is hard to beat. After about 10 minutes on foot you were either in the pedestrian zone with its western-style shopping malls or in the other direction you could go into the narrow alleys of the historic Hutongs with their small shops, restaurants and markets. From the exit of the Forbidden City or Coal Hill, it was about a 10-minute walk back to the hotel.
The National Art Museum subway station (line 8) is right in front of the hotel, with direct connections to the pedestrian zone (from there to the entrance to the Forbidden City), Tiananmen Square, and the Temple of Heaven. Alternatively, you can reach Dongsi station for lines 5 and 6 in 5 minutes on foot.
We felt very well looked after at the Empark Prime and can recommend it for a stay in Beijing with a clear conscience. If you book a room with club access, you will have a good view of the surrounding area and an extra bonus.

The hotel is beautiful, we had a great time. The rooms have recently been renovated. Spacious, quiet, luxurious, elegant and tastefully furnished room. Not everything is new (e.g. the taps, you can see it's a few years old) but the quality of the furnishings conveys a comfortable and high-level image. The bathroom is spacious. The bed very comfortable. We suffered a bit from the heat. Breakfast varied more oriental less sweet, everything we tasted was good. Friendly staff. In particular, the dining room manager who spoke English well and assisted us several times during lunch and dinner with care and kindness. Even on these occasions the dishes were delicious. The metro is located across the street corner, very convenient. The lobby is magnificent, sumptuous and classy. There was also an interesting exhibition that we were able to admire. We have stayed in several hotels and it compares favorably with other 5 star hotels. We fully recommend it.

The hotel is amazing. It has excellent facilities and the staff are very helpful especially David who checked us in on arrival. The breakfast is out of this world and the facilities it has a medium sized swimming pool and a full gym. Free WiFi. Breakfast is 06.30 to 10.30, The swimming pool and gym are open seven days a week 07.00 to 22.00hrs. The location is excellent for walking or for using the local transportation. The metro is literally out the front door of the hotel and turn right 5 minutes walk line 8. The main shopping district and APM shopping centre is out the front turn left and 20 minutes walk. The APM shopping cent has a food court on the 6th floor. Well worth a visit at a reasonable price and they are tourist friendly. I would recommend this hotel 100%

I stayed 7 nights, then only one night in this hotel, and I tested two different rooms, (the cheapest) but with two different amenities.
It really is an absolutely perfect hotel, it is extremely well located, in the center near three metro lines.
The hotel itself was renovated in 2022, everything is extremely clean and well appointed, the rooms are sublime, well appointed, equipped with everything you need, very well isolated on the outside.
Beyond the rooms, you can enjoy a gym, and a swimming pool. I was able to test the temperature there because after a good day of walking, it is very relaxing and bathe in water neither too hot nor too cold.
I really had a great stay at this hotel which I recommend completely.
As a bonus the staff is really very welcoming. Almost all of them speak English (which is rare in China).
Breakfast is extremely plentiful, served in the hotel of the restaurant, you will find absolutely everything you want, if you want to eat sweet, savoury, Asian, European, absolutely all cuisines are represented and everything is extremely good.

We had a view of the forbidden city from our room, the room was much bigger than what we expected too. It was generally a good experience for the price we paid. The hotel was in a very good location, clean, and had okay-ish staff.
The breakfast was not great.

check in and check out is a nightmare, stuff does not know english. They took a deposit which was not returned. For a five star hotel the stuff should be more professional. During the check out the stuff lady at the desk did not know english and told us we did not paid what we do when we came, then she changed it but a deposit of 1466 is overcharged.

Room had a great view of the city. Wide selection of food to choose from for breakfast. We could hold our luggage there as we were too early for check in which was great. Staff are helpful and could speak enough English. Lobby is beautiful. Highly recommend.

In our room, we could not open the window... but that doesn't mean they won't have any rooms where the windows might open. We were there in May when it was warm so always had the temp set to about 75 degrees Fahrenheit (they use Celsius so had to look up the equivalent) so if you just keep the thermo set at a decent temperature then you shouldn't have a problem with over heating since it's not just On/Off.
we had dinner once and it was dreadful don’t bother
Yes the pool is heated.
Yes, the deposit when you arrive at the reception is more than your booking approximately 25%. Basically they hold this amount on your credit card. During check out they check your room and the cancelled the hold amount. Then they charge you the actual amount + taxes + any extras. In my credit card only the final amount paid at check out was appeared.
I would definitely recommend taking an adaptor and if you're planning on using the swimming pool, take a swimming cap with you, as they will make you buy one otherwise.
