I have stayed here multiple times for a 'staycation' averaging on 2/3 nights. The customer service from the staff at the hotel has always been a highlight. They made the check-in and check-out process efficient despite the extra work involved when having foreigners. The rooms are very impressive and spacious for city accommodation. Bath tub is the selling feature for me! The privilege to sit in the bath with a bottle of champagne looking out to the city skyline. Bliss! The Bed is very comfortable and selection of mood lighting is fantastic! There is also a JBL wireless speaker that was great when getting ready to go out. The minibar was inclusive of the price, so make sure to utilise that! Even ask for a top up, the housekeeping staff are more than happy to restock and bring Ice. Breakfast was impressive, a full international offering as well as some local dishes. Overall, you wont be disappointed in terms of service and location. This was a great find, recently reconstructed hotel in good location (close to metro station, walkable distance from city center). Very stylish lobby and rooms, great details and super clean. Good restaurants, excellent breakfast (really excellent!), nice lobby bar. If anything negative, service at bar was a bit slow, and the air conditioning in the room blowed directly to the bed (bed itself was very comfortable). But overall one of the best stays in Asian cities! Made this already 2019 but review was in draft for some reason.

This was our first time staying in the Sofitel Beijing. I booked 2 nights for my wife’s birthday, and I must say the Sofitel Reception team really went the extra mile. This was one of the best staycations we have been on in a long time. When we got into the room there was rose petals all over the room, a birthday cake with flowers, and a bottle of bubbly on ice. My wife was extremely impressed and happy. Hotel staff were amazing. Everyone in the hotel was super friendly and welcoming, especially a warm-hearted and well-trained girl manager Joanna. She kindly arranged our room and amenities, and her hospitality was instantaneous and all-embracing. I also had drinks in the lounge. If you ask me would I go again, absolutely!

Not worth the cost. Very average experience for a very expensive hotel. Lack of welcome from staff and service standards are quite low. Will not be returning to this property even though I regularly stay at hotels in the chain. No priority welcome, no platinum level benefits given and the club lounge was under staffed and lacked any kind of service.

After shopping i was here with my friends for some drinks🍸 after drinks we had dessert 🍨 and find the lobby bar environment was very good, also the lady who ordered and served our drinks and dessert was very humble and nice to us, her name is angelina lu from lobby bar, i like her warm hospitality with beautiful smile and the service really satisfied with her warm hospitality and services and drinks here, when ever I’ll come to this place ill surely visit here and also recommend other people to visit lobby bar ❤️❤️

Stay at this hotel December and didn’t leave them a review as for all of us hit by a global pandemic. Stayed in a excellent well appointed suite very high floor . Room was top quality throughout and a very large jacuzzi bath , powerful walk in rain shower . Breakfast catered for every taste great coffee .Evening bar offered local and import beverage all very nicely severed . I’ve stayed in many Sofitel over the world this is the best forget about Dubai hotels this possible the best . All staff in every department pleasant and spoke excellent English .

It is always a challenge to travel during the pandemic. In China now different province has different app to register travelers. The front desk was very helpful with that. Also, during the stay I accidentally broke a glass cup and told the front desk. The first thing she asked to see if I was okay, a big thumbs up! The room is a good size. Once enter the room you can see a huge round tub right in the middle. There is a long curtain which you can pull to separate the sleeping area. Water and sodas in the refrigerator were free. Very convenient location right in the heart of Beijing with subway station within walking distance. Definitely a good hotel to choose next time in town.

This is an overdue review but one that I did not forget despite a year after coping with COVID. The room was fantastic in terms of furnishing (I was upgraded!) that was chic and novel. If you do not want a regular hotel room that is cliche, I would definitely recommend Sofitel to you. The location is walking distance from the metro, making it easy to get around as well! All the staff were friendly and approachable. I felt welcomed each time I came back. Special mention goes to Lucas, Xiao Feng with whom I had a nice conversation with when he brought my backpack to my room and he went the extra mile to sort out my packages which I bought from Taobao, making calls and even proposed to send the package to the hotel which I stayed in after Sofitel! I know that this is late but I still want to recognise his efforts!…

This is a great property that is well furnished with great facilities. Unfortunately, it's getting very localized. There are only 4 English TV stations and 3 of them were blocked. I hope you like HBO, or I hope you dont watch TV. The room service and other facilities menus are only scanned by WeChat and there is no English version. I realize that foreigners are traveling less in China but that wont last long. I hope they can get their act together. Also didn't help that they gave me someone else's pants when I had them cleaned. Luckily I saw that in time and they were able to find my pants. And the bar closes at 7PM. What kind of bar closes at 7PM? That's when bars are supposed to open. I hope this is a temporary COVID thing because it makes no sense.

Note that as you perfectly mentioned, some of the issues encountered are indeed related to Covid-19 , and it is of course temporary. Based on your feedback and lately guests communication we have consequently adjusted our operational hours for our Lobby Bar starting from this week. On another hand, the trend has been on reducing as much as possible printed materials in both rooms and public areas. This is one part of a larger Accor safety program (“AllSafe”) to provide to our guests with a safe environment. We also understand that proper communication must be guaranteed, and this is why we have some English menus available when required. Obviously there was some shortfalls in our room checking process and this will be addressed. Once again thank you for sharing on tripadvisor.com and we look forward to welcome you again. stayed there for a week of meetings in Beijing with some colleagues! Concierge (Leo, Alvin etc) were superhelpful in ensuring we had everything and helping with reservations, organising cars with changing schedules etc. Even the cleaning staff wee superhelpful and put extra cotton swabs etc for all of my make-up etc. Really great experience and I'd stay again in a heartbeat
