For the most part, the hotel was fine - except the heat in the hotel rooms. Checked in and the room was 29 degrees celcius. The AC offered no hope in cooling the room. I went to address the issue with front desk - all they could tell me was "open the window" as the AC probably won't work. (??). I did end up switching rooms with only a marginal improvment. Had to sleep with the window open
Friendly service, good beds, very nice bathrooms. There are two restaurants, one Chinese and one western, and a lobby bar. We did not eat in the hotel, but it is a short walk to many small local eating places. My only complaint was that the lobby has too little seating. TV in room had only one English language station.
Stayed in this hotel for business with a colleague, rooms nice and comfortable, food in the restaurant was good, breakfast huge selection, we ate in the restaurant most evenings and had the buffet and we were never disappointed, excellent value we used the concierge on numerous occasions and a very helpful chap Yang Bo was a star.
Elegant modern hotel with nicely appointed rooms. WiFi a bit problematic. Kept clean and well furnished with towels and bottled water. Breakfast was included and while selection large not especially memorable nor helpful staffing and biggest issue was finding a clean table with enough place settings for our group of three since tables very slowly and incompletely bussed and cleaned.
This hotel was booked by my hosts for a business trip, and as well noted in other reviews is near many universities, hospitals, medical schools and so on. It also is not far from some Olympic venues and a subway station is close by, but it is not close to traditional tourist haunts or major areas of shopping or dining. There are some restaurants close by, but you have to know where to look. I liked the steamed bun restaurant round the corner. There is also a western and Chinese buffet in the hotel and a Chinese restaurant. It was near work, which mattered to me. The check-in was slow and tedious as others had remarked, and the WiFi only worked on my phones which had WeChat installed, otherwise not. There was a cabled RJ46 ethernet connector in the room which worked fine for laptops. The buffet restaurant was fine but not marvellous, however the breakfasts were better. I was not in the mood for chinese style breakfast dishes, however there was lovely fresh bread, jam, pastries and a continental selection of meats and cheeses. The coffee and juice were good too as were the eggs - almost. Some days the hardboiled eggs were hot and other days they were cold. I tried the fried eggs once, but these were also inconsistent, as were the scrambled. Enough choice and good food to get me started for the day, but it could annoy some. The furnishings, the bed were excellent. The sleep and comfort level were good. The view from the window was excellent and your could see much of Beijing below you. The bathroom was good and a fine selection of toiletries were provided. As others have noted the bar was often empty and deserted, but when I needed to use it the service and drinks were fine. I just pitied the barman who sat there for hours with no one to serve. English levels of staff are not perfect but basic and sufficient for regular usage but not for when things fail.…
The hotel is well maintained, clean, provides good breakfast with both Chinese and International cuisines, rooms are spacey and well decorated. The personnel speaks some English, but not really fluent. view from the room (15th floor) was really impressive
I highly recommend the Vision Hotel in Beijing. I would rate it as a 5 star hotel. The beds are comfortable, the shower has excellent water pressure, they have a small cooler in the room for drinks (2 water bottles provided). We had two full size beds in our room so my husband and I each had our own bed. lol. The breakfast was great; there was waffles, French toast, fried eggs, fruit, breads, bacon, chicken sausage, porridge, and lots of Asian dishes. It was more like a brunch buffet. We only needed our European adaptors for my hair straightener. Cell phone chargers and CPAP did not need adaptors.
Was here for a conference in Peking University's School of Medicine, so this was very convenient as I could walk to the venue in 15 mins. The room was excellent, clean and spacious, on par with the best brand name hotels, with all the needed amenities. So for the price stated, it is a very good find. The one grouse I have is that there are no grocery shops, convenience stores and local food joints near the hotel, making it less enjoyable if you're here for a tour.
I stayed here for three nights for a busy Cwork trip visiting the universities, for which this hotel is ideal. It's 30-60minutes from the airport, depending on traffic. Staff try hard to be helpful, but speaking Mandarin well would be advantageous if you have particular needs. Rooms are well-equipped with a wide range of gadgetry, including a wall-mounted washing line and excellent lighting, so one switch by the bed turns everything off. There is a gym - no-one seems to use it - so I had this large chilly space to myself. And there is a very nice large (20m) pool, complete with slippers in the changing room lockers. I ate the hotel's evening buffet three times. This is popular, serving a mix of Chinese and western food, most of which is quite good (I suggest avoid the pizza). However, serving stations are filled up once, on opening, so the best chance of getting a decent meal is to arrive at the opening time. Even 30 minutes in, empty serving stations are never refilled. The breakfast buffet is similar, so again get in early and be flexible about what you might want. For visiting tourist spots such as Tiananmen Square, allow at least 30 minutes in a taxi. There is a metro station nearby, but I had too little time to figure this out. Also bear in mind the hotel is located in a business district so eating outside nearby the hotel is difficult - there is a KFC (equivalent) on the other side of the street, but the street is six lanes wide with no obvious crossing point.…
A great place to stay in Beijing. The service was great. The food in the restaurant was good and the whole hotel seems very clean with western style bathrooms. The bed was great. Not like so many hotels you stay in where the center of the mattress is like sleeping on a hole.
