We enjoyed a beautiful view on the river Nile, tasty food, fresh drinks, attentive personnel, a renovated room and the cleanliness we value. In August 2020 there were very little tourists, which was to our advantage and which gave our trip a very relaxed, nice time. Overall, we found a place you like to remember and you like to return :)

I would like to share my exceptional experience at this hotel , I spent 4 nights of my honeymoon there and I consider them the best 4 nights ever . I loved the place as soon as I checked in , the receptionist was very quick to check me and my wife in after our long trip by car from Hurghada , we then went to our room to find it exceptionally clean , tidy and the bed and bathroom decorated for newly wed couples .
The first morning we woke up late and missed our breakfast and before even realising that we found room service calling us and asking us if we would like our breakfast sent to our room despite that it was after breakfast hours , then for the rest of our stay we would call room service in the morning when we wake up and they would send the breakfast in a few minutes
House keeping was also exceptional and every night we would come back to a very clean and tidy room with a complimentary snack left for us fruits , mini sandwiches, etc.
Phone calls to reception were always answered quickly , inquiries about anything answered promptly and professionally
All hotel staff Especially reception were so professional , polite and greet us with a smile on your way in or out of the hotel and offer to help as much as they can
I had been to a couple more hotels in other places in Egypt for my honeymoon but Steigenberger was the best with the same level of customer service I am used to getting from my life and work in Canada
If you are planning to go to Luxor believe me Steigenberger is the place you Want to stay in
Thank you for the exceptional customer service and will see you all again with our next trip to Luxor

This is my first visit to Luxor,Egypt. My first impression was the friendliness of the staff. They were so friendly and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, in fact it was no trouble at all. The rooms have been modernised to a clean high standard and we got a free room upgrade with a Nile view which was greatly appreciated. The hotel boasts several restaurants, Thai, Italian and Lebanese although only the Lebanese was open due to COVID-19 etc. The food is excellent although on the expensive side as there is a service charge plus vat added on to everything. This is a new thing brought in by the new General Manager apparently. Maybe he needs to look at this more as there are restaurants outside of the hotel which are much cheaper and offer excellent food too. Obviously the scenery is a plus and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The Guest Relations Manager Amina is lovely and very helpful. If you need anything specific she will do her very best to get it for you. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone even if it’s just for the beautiful setting on the banks of the River Nile and the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food and service. I will definitely come back to stay.

What an beautiful experience staying at the Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Luxor.

From the moment I entered the hotel, I felt safe and cared for. The hotel had many safety measures in place to protect guests.

After disembarking from a three night Nile River cruise I was delighted to check in for a incredible two nights, and open the door to my spacious light filled room. The generous outdoor balcony space overlooked the garden, swimming pools, and the Nile. Gazing at the unmistakable sail of a felucca slowly glided along the Nile from my fourth floor room is one of my favorite memories.

The room was updated and color scheme and Egyptian themed decor was soothing and restful. The bathroom was well appointed with amenities, and included a deep soaking tub in addition to the roomy shower. I appreciated the added lighted magnifying mirror feature in the sink area. The numerous light fixtures and outlets through out the room was a bonus.

The bed was comfortable, and the linens were top quality with with numerous pillows of different degrees of softness. The room and bathroom were sanitized to the highest level.

I appreciated the central open courtyard design of the property, with additional shops and restaurants to make the visit even more convenient.

The breakfast area on the lower level near the pool area was spaciously spaced, allowing for indoor or outdoor seating.

The staff were courteous, helpful, and promptly responded to my requests.

We enjoyed our stay at this splendid hotel. The location is ideal, wonderful views over the river and very easy to walk along the corniche and visit Luxor temple and the winter palace. Quite a lot of hassle from the horse and carriage and the felucca guys but honestly we couldn’t blame them for trying as there are very few tourists right now and they can’t make any money.
The WiFi wasn’t great and we had a disappointing meal at the Lebanese restaurant but everything else was good. Sadly the Thai restaurant was closed. The hotel staff members from cleaners to waiters to reception were all very pleasant and looked after us very well. Coffee in the terrace bar overlooking the Nile at sunset was memorable and it was all very relaxing. We certainly plan to return.

Stayed here and took a patio room overlooking a cobbled courtyard with restaurants and cafes and entertainment. A huge breakfast of local and international cuisines, your choice of dishes were too many to count. Breads and pastries with tea and coffee overlooking the Nile, could not be bettered. The hotel has many restaurants, and terraced bars, all with knowledgable and attentive staff. The atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly and well deserves it’s five stars. I salute and thoroughly recommend the Head Chef and his team who constantly maintain a very high standard of everything we ate. The management team promote and produce the same high standard. Surrounded by Egypt’s famous sites scenes, the beautiful weather and the friendliest welcome locally, it is my home from home. I shall return, Inshallah.

My friend & I are just back from a stay in Luxor with a Nile cruise mid stay. We spent 4 nights at the Nile Palace at the start of our holiday and 2 at the end. We wish that we could have stayed longer. We had arranged an upgrade to a Nile View room via email before we arrived at a very reasonable price. We were not disappointed, our room was spacious with a good sized bathroom & a large balcony. The room was also spotless & cleaned thoroughly every day. Hand sanitiser was available at many points throughout the hotel. The staff wore masks at all times.

The views from the balcony over to the famous West Bank mountains was amazing especially when they were lit up at night.

The staff treated us like royalty on arrival, especially Moustafa the guest relations manager. The manager of the hotel introduced himself to us The staff in all areas of the hotel were polite, courteous & very friendly. We stayed on a B&B basis & the breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choices of European & Egyptian foods. Lots of fresh, local fruit too.

The rating relates to the travel period March 2022 (Corona) and room 012, traveling as a couple without children. Normal requirements for equipment and food, no luxury travelers.
Since we only stayed there for one night as a stopover, we can only write a short review.

Hotel in general
The facade or outside view looks a bit old, for example the i in the lettering was missing.
As apparently everywhere in Egypt, the WiFi is rather bad, it was available in all areas, including the pool, but it was often very slow.
Location right on the Nile, but 5-10 minutes away on foot from the Nile promenade.
It's about a 15-minute walk to Luxor Temple.

Meal
Breakfast as a buffet very extensive, there are various hot and cold dishes, fruit, sweets and a station where various egg dishes and pancakes are freshly prepared.
We had only booked including breakfast, and therefore ate in the Italian restaurant in the house in the evening, pizza and pasta were ok.

Room 012 Executive Room
We booked the cheapest room with a city view and were upgraded for free to an executive room with a view of the Nile and a balcony.
The room is very spacious and stylishly furnished, beds are very comfortable.
The rooms are very poorly soundproofed, both to the other rooms and to the hotel corridor.

Staff/service
Thanks for the free upgrade, the service was very friendly and always concerned about our well-being.
We booked a day trip with a private driver to the Dendera Temple at the hotel, which was absolutely worth it for Egypt £1000.
Taxi to airport is Egypt £170.

I had an early flight to Luxor, and not only was I accommodated for a very early check-in “8:30 am,” but my standard room was upgraded to a spacious, light-filled room overlooking the garden, swimming pool, and most importantly, the Nile. For that, I’d like to thank Mr. Mostafa Mohamed, the night manager especially.

One tiny hiccup, my room was dusty, perhaps from too little time given to prepare for my early check-in; I discovered this only after I woke up from my nap since I slept right away the minute I laid down in bed. I notified Mr. Ahmed El Taher at the front desk, who was kind enough to send immediatly someone to clean it up along with delicious dessert assortments.

Felucca boats are also available from the hotel (lower price than expected), and I rode one with the kind and gentle Mr. Hamdi. This kind of interaction made the visit very heartwarming and felt like home.

All staff members I encountered were courteous, helpful, and promptly responded to my requests.

If I were to revisit Luxor, I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

There is an ATM (it was outside the buffet/ pool entrance when we were there) but I am not sure if it will let you put in money. I took Egyptian pounds out with my ATM card. Agreed with the comment above, USD or Euro is the preferred cash payment by most people/vendors.
