We stayed at the Cove Resort in November, 2022. The room was spacious, bright, comfortable. Excellent closet space and places to hang dive gear inside without anything being in the way. All tile floor. We had our own veranda with lounge chairs and umbrella right by the pool. The pool is huge and lagoon like with a little island in the middle featuring a bar. The service was professional and friendly, Angel and Princess at the front desk went out of their way to accommodate us. The bathroom was updated and clean; everything worked! Ample counter space. Robes and towels provided for pool as well. At the time we visited the hotel was quiet. It is situated very close to the harbor and dive boats, making the location perfect for a stay before or after your dive trip. Also, very nice restaurants nearby and a small supermarket just across the street. NOTE: there are three floors, no elevator in case you travel with heavy suitcases. Overall excellent stay. We highly recommend this hotel.…
We really enjoyed our stay at the Cove Resort. Accommodations were comfortable. Everything worked. The restaurant was way better than we expected. Good selection including daily specials, large portions, great buffet breakfast. Hotel was convenient to many dive companies and a short walk to downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful. On our last day the hotel manager (I think that's who he was) noticed I had sunburn and sent one of his staff to give me a bottle of aloe vera. It was unexpected and much appreciated.
The staff here are really lovely. However the hotel is not relaxing. There are lots of families and kids making a lot of noise, but I don’t mind that (even hours of Marco Polo - it’s to be expected). However several sets of guest has big speakers and super loud competing amplified music. It also caters to army service men and women who bought ice chests full of their own beer and liquor to the pool. (I don’t even resent that, as none of the bars were open.). However, as they got more and more drunk, it got louder and louder, going late into the night. Even the double glazing wasn’t able to keep it out after we went to bed! Christmas Day, we had to ask some other guests if they would mind keeping their music a little lower (which they immediately did - so thank you to them for being receptive. I just wish there had been someone on staff monitoring this.) One other niggle is that the AC is the room is not adjustable. It is either ON or OFF and it is pretty frigid. Other than that, it’s great. The breakfast buffet is small, but has everything you need, and the coffee is nice and strong :). The staff really are lovely and can help you book trips and restaurant reservations. I think as long as you aren’t trying to relax at the pool, it is fine.…
We stayed at the Cove Resort before and after our liveaboard on the Palau Siren. The staff were helpful with a smile on their faces every day. The hotel was clean and comfortable however there was some deferred maintenance due to the pandemic. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful hotel. Very friendly staff. The buffet breakfast is wonderful. They gave us a late checkout without an extra charge. Very nice. This website wants 200 words but I've said all I need to say..
I stayed at the Cove Resort for a couple of nights, prior to a liveaboard trip. The rooms were spacious and clean with balconies overlooking the pool, and they provided bottled water and even a much handy drying rack. The pool was attractive and clean and virtually unused. The restaurant provided a buffet breakfast with a good assortment from which to choose and made-to-order eggs. It was open again at 4 for drinks/snacks/dinner. Everything was hot and tasty. The staff at The Cove was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and friendly. The standout was Princess at the front desk, who helped me many times! Much appreciated. I’ll definitely be back. I’ve stayed at PPR before (which is also nice) but elected to stay at the Cove this time due to its location. It’s super convenient to boarding the liveaboards, going into Koror town, and having a much-needed massage after long days of traveling. My only suggestion for the hotel would be to provide a “bottle filling station” in the lobby so we could refill out water bottles without having to use so much plastic. The bar was available to fill them with purified water, but it would be much easier to have a self-fill station.…
We had a wonderful stay at The Cove in Palau! The staff were absolutely amazing and the rooms were perfect for our stay. Can't say thank you enough for how well they treated us while we were there. They helped us book our land tours and excursions around the island, and were always there to answer any questions we had.
The facilities at the Cove Resort were excellent, and the people are so kind (while being professional). I simply loved the buffet breakfast---the coconut rice was my favourite. I was able to set the air conditioning to a comfortable 28 degrees C (about 82 F) (it was typically 31 outside, even at 6am, and I don't like too much of a temperature shock). Would stay there again so very much! I should add: nice view, nice pool, good restaurant (important for the Restricted Movement phase before the mandatory COVID test). Was very comfortable there.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bar/restaurant area is a nice place to hang out since it’s shady and has a nice breeze. Breakfast was tasty and happy hour was pretty good. I swam in the pool for a bit, which was a tad cool, but it helped cool me off. The gym is also pretty good, although the Wi-Fi isn’t as strong. The room has strong air conditioning and the beds a very comfortable. The ceilings are a bit thin because you could hear people walking around upstairs all the time. I only wish there was a beach at the hotel but I understand not too many hotels in the area have this.
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Free WiFi. Hungry marlin restaurant in the hotel was good but they were out of a lot of items on the menu. When we got in the room the air and the beds smelled stale / we had to use spray hand sanitizer as the pillows smelled odd. My pillow and some of my sheets had random bloodstains - small but noticeable. WiFi was good in the room. I was able to work for the week from the room.
