We loved our stay here. The hotel is the perfect size, it has every facility you’d need but it’s not too large that the private beach is inundated with guests. The location is second to none and the hotel staff are fantastic. There are a lot of mixed reviews about the breakfast buffet, best way to put it is that it’s a somewhat small selection but the dishes rotate every morning thus there are always new options and the, made to order, eggs are always great.

For western guests, the hotel is definitely primarily visited by Chinese travellers as are most hotels in Palau. It’s an absolute non issue.

We were told the hotel was fully booked yet we were amazed to find that we had the beach to ourselves most afternoons after our diving trip or island exploring. Blessed to have stayed here.

We rate Very Good only for all the exceptional, helpful, professional staff,
always smiling.
We had chosen this hotel (on the side of the road and not very pretty) for its cheaper price than the Royal resort which was our preference but by staying two days less it would have been equivalent (because 10 days at Sea Passion is a long time if we do not do daily outings).
The small private beach is very pretty and very well maintained.. like the entire hotel, it is impeccably clean.. on the other hand, snorkeling in front of the beach is quite disappointing, the corals are dead.
Our arrival at the airport was disrupted because the shuttle booked by email was not there and the person who came to us as a taxi charged us $80 to go to Sea Passion.

Breakfast is only Chinese.
No pastries.

This hotel did not disappoint, and exceeded its three star rating. Our corner room was super clean, spacious and well appointed with 180 degree views over the lagoon and the marina. Kyle at reception went above and beyond assisting us with car rental, house keeping requests and last minute tour bookings. The lagoon provided superb in house snorkelling, with corals, abundant fish, giant clams, and a fighter plane to explore. The location was also very central and a short walk to a number of Palau’s best restaurants and bars.

We stayed in multiple locations in Palau and in my opinion Sea Passion was the best! You can’t beat the location or the view and the service was outstanding. A mid range hotel that exceeded expectations with clean modern rooms, a small beach and pool. Hiring a kayak is a must, and so is sunset at the Beach Bar. Fish n Fins tours are right there and it’s super close to other tour operators. Highly recommended.

Sea Passion was a great place to stay for our dive vacation in Palau. The dive shop at Sea Passion was booked, so we dove with Fish and Fins, about a 4 minute walk from the hotel. Still very convenient. Our room had plenty of space, the shower had lots of pressure and, most of the time very hot water (warm in the late afternoon when everybody is retuning from their dive trips).
The staff there were all EXCELLENT! Very warm and friendly and helpful. George, who worked the night shift for the front desk was wonderful to chat with! All of the staff made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend the Sea Passion for your stay.
Oh.. there’s a beach on site with some great snorkeling. Tons of fish I’d never seen before and a chance to snorkel right at a rock island!,,

I experienced excellent and efficient customer serivce from the staff at Sea Passion Hotel. I was booked to travel to Palau to attend a Conference and had to cancel at the last minute, albeit with good reason. The management at Sea Passion Hotel were both gracious and understanding and cancelled my reservation at no charge. Addionally I was very impressed by the prompt responses to messages throughout the reservation process. The reservations team provided information and offered assistance to facilitate airport transfers and logistics at the time of booking.
I would like to convey my sincerest appreciation and thanks to the management and staff. I also would like to commend them for promptly responding to my messages and the kind courtesies extended. I had colleagues who booked at another hotel in the area 'West Plaza' who did not experience good service or facilitation. I highly recommend Sea Passion Hotel and can't wait to visit when next I travel to Palau! A heartfelt Thank You!

We stayed at this hotel 5 days before our dive tour. They have a wonderful little beach and we enjoyed snorkeling there everyday. Surprisingly there were many baby fish, large clams, a wreck ,sea turtles and even a sea snake. The rooms are large and the staff is wonderful. The breakfast is very limited and we ate out for lunch and dinner. There are a couple really good restaurants nearby as well as convenient stores. I highly recommend staying here as an affordable option before your tours. Also a great place to snorkel!

Caged Bird
BY MAYA ANGELOU
A free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wing
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn bright lawn
and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

Dear Guest. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are very pleased to hear that our staff made your stay pleasant. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. 8 years ago, when the bird was still a baby our staff found him injured so they rescued and feed the bird. He can’t fly anymore because of the injury; if we release it might die soon coz can't fly anymore. But we assure that we take care of the bird. We really appreciate your concern. Again, thank you for staying with us.

We stayed for 3 days at the Sea Passion as part of our honeymoon. They had a promo and we were treated wonderfully by the staff. They put in the extra effort to prepare our room. The private beach area felt exclusive and secluded as though we were somewhere far away in the rock islands. They offer a daily buffet and the food was delicious. We highly recommend you stay at the Sea Passion Hotel while in Palau.

this place is a bit worn and tired. it is not the relaxing upscale vacation hotel i was looking for. everything at this hotel feels very Chinese. it caters to package tours from asia. the location is also outside of the main area for walking. however, it does have its own cute little beach!
