Amazing stay, was just Perfect...Perfect...Perfect. Treated like royalties and the staff just cannot do enough for us (wife and myself). From the time we arrived at the front door, everyone was so welcoming. Salman was our first contact and he was just great, so accommodating, and even though I could tell he was very tired, he just kept smiling and really engaged in conversations with us, what great customer service he has. After having my PCR certificate checked, met by various people on the way to Reception. My wife took a liking to someone dressed up as 'Aladin' (called Serigne) who offered us a much needed beverage. There was also a Filipina lady called "Nette" who at this time had finished her shift, but stayed behind to greet us and saw us through our check in process and ensured we were ok and taken care off. Must mention "Christley" whom again very attentive and every time he sees me, he stops and checks up on me to ensure all is well. I feel a bit guilty sometimes because I keep asking for bottled water whenever I see him and he runs and gets one for me, and even opens it for me. Check this for customer service. I was sweating and he gives me a small towel to dry and even damps it with cold water to put on my face just to cool me down, great "ini't" as we say in the London, cant match that! Got to Reception and met by Yash, he was just again perfect too in everyway, amazing and really has good customer service skills checking how my journey was, told him I had come from Dubai and stayed at Le Royal Meridian where the last 7 days has been 10 out 10 and he assured me that I would equally have good experience at the Ritz-Carlton and I have to say he did not disappoint. We had the view of the magnificent pool, good sized room, cleaned twice a day, soft large bed with sheets changed twice a day in the AM and PM. I think we had 2 house keepers and one of them was "Ritsu" whom I met and she was great. Was talking to her and like a good customer service person, she stopped what she was doing and looked me in the eye when we were chatting. There is nothing worst than talking to some one who does not make eye-contact and she definitely passed there. The other housekeeper was 'Fingley' (I may have spelt it wrong, but am sure you know who you are). My wife was also impressed how they tidy up our slippers in a straight line and even put them on floor towels to organise, just amazing. The beach is also a walking distance (2 mins from Reception) and because it is low season, I pretty much had the whole beach to myself, just as I did when I was at the Le Royal Meridien in Dubai so no complain there as I am not a pool person. Food - well, as you would expect, the hotel caters for all taste so nothing much to say here. I love the setups though. You can have international buffet at GIORNOTTE and get high class service from Prabhus who goes out of his way and I felt a bit guilty asking him specific like avocados with condense milk and ice, but this was no problem with him. Prabhus actually appear to enjoy doing it for me every time I asked. There was also Carlos who again, just could not do enough for us. All of them were very attentive. There some nights we did not want buffet so tried a sit down meal at the various restaurant onsite; Li Jiang, The Forge, they had great New Zealand steak. I also had my first 'sake martini' here and again it did not disappoint. Have to mention the other staff 'Anees', Caleb and the "beach boys" whom too many to mention, but you know who you are, thank you ever so much for the hospitalities you have shown during our stay. Suno also showed us around the resort in a golf cart as by this time I was just too lazy even to walk, he jokingly said, 'don't worry you are on holiday'. He was great and very patient and did not hurry us along. This is how I found that that I was looking at the biggest pool in the UAE. The hotel itself is away from any hassle and bustle of the malls so really good for unwinding and relaxing. To be honest, once you are onsite, you would not want to leave. A big thank you to Emmanuel who helped me patiently with my Al Hosn App ( you need a negative PCR test in AD) because at this time I just did not care anymore and Emmanuel did it all for me. He merely asked me to leave all with him and to come back a few hours later...Done. To Ina ( I think she was Indonesian from Jakarta or Bali). She helped me understand well how to get around Abu Dhabi because we wanted to visit and had a meal at the Emirates Palace, visit the Louvre and Etihad Towers which by the way where they filmed Fast & Furious. We did have one disappointment thing to say about the resort in that we had to leave and almost cried because the staff made a small cake that had various messages from them "have a safe flight", "thank you for staying with us", so who would not be moved by these gestures. No matter who you are, no matter where you come from, the staff would just not merely serve you, but you are treated here as a good friend who had come to visit. Would I stay at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Canal again? Of course, 100% and like the Le Royal Meridian in Dubai would even go as far as and say that there should be a law in Abu Dhabi that when visiting Abu Dhabi your hotel should be The Ritz-Carlton Grand Canal, Abu Dhabi just because of the staff.…
Just returned from a 10 night stay from this beautiful hotel,and I have to compliment everyone for the excellent service we received. Mandeep warmly welcomed us in reception on arrival ,and the excellent service just continued .Our room was extremely comfortable and cleaned to perfection daily by Abdul ,food in the giournnete restaurant was none other than superb the two Indian chefs looked after me so well every evening sorry I don’t remember their names. The younger one reminded me of the name “where the three rivers in India met,”They were available Each evening to explain the dishes ,what were spicey and readily cooked on the grill to your tastes. How could anyone fault the presentation ,the choice ,freshness and delivery . Also on offer is the forge restaurant ,again Christophe ,Stefan and all the staff there including the lovely waiter from Sri Lanka . ,my apologies for forgetting your name Again the attention to detail ,the service and hospitality was second to none . Also mention has to be given to the chefs who cook there under the gaze of the public scrutiny but like the true Professionals that they are they keep working away serving out supreme dinners. This hotel is made by the top staff and service ,regardless of who you are ,everyone staying there receives the best of the best service ,also a great thank you has to go to the pool staff ,too many to mention ,who constantly top up guests with iced water ,replenish towels and serve drinks and food in a speedy manner by bicycle It would be hard to find this service from all departments anywhere else in the world Thank you all for making this a very memorable holiday…
Best brunch in town. Best service and lovely staff..Pradeep and Prabhu made sure we are always topped up and never with empty glass. Khine and her hostesses make note of our special occasion, cakes are arranged… we were part of their first Pinktober brunch and we won a voucher as well. Expect us next week again.
Customer Service is really great... thank you for all the staff a great service and made our lunch enjoyable. Special shout out to Prabhu Pradeep.. Not your ordinary buffet, but worth your money.. food is really great and much to choose from. Kudos...

Amazing brunch, I was served by Prabhu and Pradeep, they are amazing. Fast service and best food in Abu dhabi alot of different choices, staff is friendly, parking area is close to restaurant, overall excellent
It was a greatfull trip: high level of service, helpful and friendly staff, chic hotel area. Special mention to the hotel stuff Prabhu! Very positive and cool guy! He is a professional! I will come back later!

Mohammed, Caleb, Nigel, prabhu provided exceptional service at our staff brunch at pizza pasta night. Food and service was next to none. Thank you guys, really appreciate it. An amazing staff night out was had.
