I was interested in trying a short staycation since these days during the pandemic, we are all in need of some pampering. I was not disappointed. The staff of the hotel is doing many great measures to keep its guests and staff safe. There is no valet parking, everything has been sanitized in the lobby and the rooms, guests are given a mask, gloves and hand sanitizer packet in their rooms. Still not okay to go on the beach or to the pool in Abu Dhabi, the restaurant made sure that outside seating has a lovely sea view. The food at the restaurant is all a la carte, even though the hotel is all inclusive, which usually means buffet style dining. You use QR scan to view the ample and delicious menu choices. I had the lovely Roxane wait on me multiple times and she made sure that I had everything I could possibly want to eat. The property really is lovely, with great views and lush gardens. But the most wonderful part of the resort is its staff; they are really caring and helpful. I totally recommend this lovely Rixos.

I would sum this place up as a high end family focused all inclusive resort, a Sandals but for all. It made our first family holiday (travelling with a 4 month old) a dream, so thank you.

The service by all teams was second to none; the pool staff (both the man & woman) on their roller blades knew what drinks we liked and served them without being asked, the bar staff made any cocktails we wanted and the housekeeper (who looked after room 3230) kept on providing additional towels everyday for our infant having only being asked the once.

The resort is large so be prepared to walk and security seems a high priority, there are CCTV cameras literally everywhere. Our room was spacious and had an oversized bath which was perfect.

The food was superb!! We honestly didn’t have one bad meal. The breakfast is buffet and offers everything one could want. For lunch we ate everyday at “Peoples” (I think it was called) which is on the front and is Al A Carte. It serves fantastic burgers, both chicken thigh and beef, and Caesar salads. For dinner the resort has 4 Al A Carte restaurants (Japanese, Italian, Turkish and Seafood) we ate at all of them bar the Japanese and again the food was faultless, and your glasses are never empty. However, they have just introduced a small table charge to eat at these restaurants for stays booked after 01/01/2020, it’s only about £10pp but that would annoy me. Why is it needed? We also ate at the buffet which had everything from English dishes to European and Asian.

The bar has a lot of drinks that are not on the menu, for example Strongbow. So I’d suggest asking before compromising.

The beach is beautiful and is cleaned/raked daily..... There is an adults only section here too.

We went out into Abu Dhabi one afternoon which i’d strongly recommend doing.... The Grand Mosque is beautiful and free of charge to visit. The shopping centres are huge and very quiet compared to those in Dubai.

If I had to find fault, the air conditioning in the room seemed to stop working each afternoon for an hour or so, other than that 5* all the way!

This was our second trip to this hotel in less than a year the last time was May 2019 we liked it so much we returned to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful week at the hotel only down side since our last trip they have started to charge a supplement for the restaurants other than the buffet we did not know this until we booked our restaurants. Our room was decorated with swans and rose petals sparkling wine fruit and cake was sent to our with compliments from the management. We found the food and drinks to be of a very high quality with lots of beers and top shelf spirits the list is to extensive to try and list but I don't think you would be disappointed. The hotel lobby is spectacular as you walk through the door you get the WOW factor, the inside of the hoteland grounds of the hotel are kept clean and tidy. All the staff are very good and can not do enough for you but I need to commend a few that went above and beyond with there service first off all our bar captain Jerby every time he sore us he would stop and talk and enquire how we where and if there was anything we would like service above and beyond what was required. Housekeeping was brilliant from swans to elephants on the bed very clever thanks Levy very artistic. On our first night we where spoilt in AJA the Asian restaurant by Selauk and his team. At lunch times we would either go to the buffet or The Peoples bar where Gaurav would look after us he also works in the Orient restaurant where his recommendations on what to eat was spot on. The guys and girls that work the pool bar where amazing Asanga working hard to keep everything stocked on the bar to Rohit how make the best Mojito and very good Jack Daniels and diet coke for me and Gin and slimline if he had slimline tonic for my wife. The team of skater waiters where amazing one in particulate was amazing on his skates it was brilliant entertainment watching him glide around the pool with a tray of drinks and not spilling a drop thank you Ahmet Sezen a very nice guy, keep up the good work look forward to our next trip when that might be we don't know yet.

The lobby and reception are stunning aesthetically, as are a several other locations around the property. We checked in at 1pm on a Wednesday with no wait, but we were given a few pieces of false information. We tried to make dinner reservations by phone as recommended, but were told this was only possible in person at the front desk by the operator. Once we got back to the desk we were informed by another person that a reservation wasn’t necessary. Servers in the restaurants were wearing gloves, their computer systems were down for the length of our stay. They struggled to manage the inconvenience. The only quality cocktails were in the lobby bar. The beach only had beer (Fosters, occasionally Becks) and wine, but ran out of beer at one point. We were never approached by a server on the beach. We had to flag one down several hours after arriving, we were going to the beach bar a decent walk away from the loungers until then. At check in we were told the lobby bar was open until 12am, but if you arrived after 9pm you wouldn’t be served. This was not being enforced. This interrupted our dinner plans as we gave up on waiting for our mains 30 minutes after ordering them while thinking we wouldn’t be allowed in the bar. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, but we couldn’t get past a smell which was strikingly similar to vomit. We noticed this same smell in the breakfast restaurant so maybe it wasn’t actually what we assumed. The bathroom set up would be a little awkward if staying with someone you weren’t very comfortable being around. The bed only had a thin duvet, but the AC wasn’t that great so we slept comfortably. The mini bar was included, but the only alcohol were two cans of Fosters beer. The hallways were muggy with poor AC. In the morning I called the operator to ask about late checkout, she directed me to go to the lobby in person, same as each request I attempted by phone. Most of these issues were clearly COVID related, I’ll happily try them again once the pool opens up and they can operate at a more manageable capacity. Food and service were similar to my experiences at all inclusive resorts in Mexico. I say you get the value of the cost if your in it for quantify vs quality when it comes to alcohol. I would suggest bringing a small cooler for your drinks at the beach this time of year, and an insulated cup to transfer a cocktail from the lobby bar anytime your near it.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on a weekend with my husband and our 3 1/2-year old daughter in the Premium Kung Room with Pool Access. First impression of the hotel, not as grand as the other hotels nearby but also with a beautiful view from the main entrance same as the other hotels along Saadiyat beach. Color blue is accentuated in the interior all around the hotel. Coming in the main entrance, we were kindly greeted by a tall guy that guide as through the reception. There were already few guests lined up to check-in or out. My husband was a bit disappointed in how the reception manages the checking in of their guests when one lady was accommodated before him when he’s supposed to be the next one in line. The guy in the reception saw that and didn’t even budge in. We think he’s the manager. First impression of the room, pretty and interesting architecture. I like the blue and gold accents inside the room. Sliding door opens out to a verandah with 2 deck chairs and our own access to a swimming pool that shares with 4 other hotel rooms. Housekeepers did a good job in maintaining the room clean and organized as well as making something special everyday like rose petals and bubbles on the bath tub and on the bed (it’s my husband’s bday celebration, I guess that’s why). We visited the Rixy’s Club for our daughter and we’re upset and disappointed that some girls inside were rude. We came in to check out their play room and the lady (blonde and very slim) that was sitting behind the desk looked at me intimidatingly and asked me “what do you want?” and the other lady (tall with long very curly hair) thought I was the nanny (because I’m from Far East) and my husband said “she’s my wife”. I was angry and disappointed that they hire people who doesn’t have respect on people with color and of different race than they are. They should be trained properly not to offend guests and to always have the benefit of the doubt. Just because of this alone, my whole impression of the hotel is ruined and affected my rating. Don’t judge people in regards of their color and race. That’s very ancient. I think the management have to change some staff in the reception and in the kids club. Make it mix race so they won’t intimidate nationalities with color and that will be more accommodating and more comfortable. Anyway, Turquoise Restaurant was excellent. Food choices were vast. Service was excellent. Pool and beach staff are very good with their service. Overall, the all-inclusive deal is excellent. We would love to come back and see the change in the staffing and service.

We visited this hotel during the Christmas holidays with our two children and another family for an all inclusive stay. Hotel is very clean with staff who cannot do enough for you. Excellent service from all staff that worked at this hotel. Krishna one of the waiting staff and Santosh the chef went out of their way to meet our special requests for various curries. Dinner in the turquoise restaurant is a buffet with a great selection of foods from Indian, Italian pastas, fish and various Turkish dishes with a good selection of salads and desserts to choose from.
À la cart restaurants were absolutely amazing. From 4 to choose from, Italian, seafood, Japanese, Turkish all included in the all inclusive package. Teppanyaki restaurant with a show was also available to book at an additional charge. However we had left this until the last couple of days and was fully booked. There was also food available at poolside.
The swimming pools were great. Life guards on each of the three pools. The children had fun at the aqua park and wave pool. The main pool had an amazing view of the sunset and view of the sea. The beach was very well maintained with beach toys available for children to play with.
Other facilities included spa, fitness classes, juice bar and hair and beauty salon. Monty and Mario in the salon were amazing. Mario braided the children’s hair and was very quick and very neat.
There was also tennis courts and fitness centre on site. We were lucky enough to be staying during the Mubadala tennis tournament and bumped into various tennis players such as Karen Khachanov, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, to mention a few. Evening entertainment was a live band/singer of some sort until about 11 pm and the bar was open until 2pm.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Absolutely amazing. We would definitely visit again. :)

My family recently stayed at the Rixos for a week and can only really give high praise from beginning to end. The hotel itself is still relatively new and the decor generally is modern and tasteful whilst still having a traditional Middle Eastern feel to it.

Our flight arrived early morning into Abu Dhabi International so when we arrived at the hotel our room was not ready. However the reception staff sent us off for breakfast and suggested we explore the hotel and surroundings while they prepared our room. I would highly recommend you use this time to book dinner reservations with concierge as time slots tend to get booked very quickly and you may find yourself with a very late option which is not ideal with young kids.

Our room was a premium with garden view and nicely furnished. I would suggest a bigger room with 2 kids as there was one fold out sofa that could only really fit 1 child comfortably hence a little tight on space but our main bed looked to be a super king which was very comfortable. We also spent very little time in the room so we weren't particularly concerned about this. Our kids absolutely loved the kids area, i.e. water park, wave pool and kids club. The facilities were very clean and well maintained and probably one of the best kids clubs I have experienced. There is a full day schedule for kids activities to keep them entertained and the staff here were so friendly and inviting that our children (6 and 8yrs) wanted to go back each day. We preferred to leave them for just 30mins to an hour max but always found them with huge smiles on their faces on our return from our adult time alone!

In terms of service is really where this hotel shines through. Through the various restaurants, the main pool, courtyard bar and beach area the staff are always very attentive and quick to serve drinks or food. A few staff I would like to call out as a special mention for their service are Manju from the beach area, Nalin the fitness instructor and Chintana and team who worked in the main pool bar. They always made a special effort to ensure my family were looked after and give a more personalised service.

This hotel hits the balance of providing a luxury all inclusive service that in my experience is very hard to achieve. I would mention that the premium sprirt selection is indeed premium with some whiskeys on the list taking me by surprise of their inclusion. Easily the best stocked inclusive bar I have experienced.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to for your visit to Abu Dhabi and would consider visiting again in the future.

We stayed recently in Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island as a family of 6, and we couldn't ask for a better vacation.
The hotel is right on an amazing private beach, warm and clear water and white sand.
The hotel itself is very well decorated and kept, clean and 100% adapted to the new "reality" concerning the pandemic.
We felt as safe as home, all public spaces are kept clean through the whole stay, face-masks availiable for free everywhere around the hotel, bars, restaurants, pools and beach.
The staff is very well trained, the animation team is great - a special word to Nalin! You made our stay even more fun and full!
As we were a family of 6, the hotel rewarded by staying in the Presidential Suite and in a double room next door.
We couldn't aks for a better accomodation. The Presidential Suite is the best accomodation I've ever stayed, enourmous living room, so we could seat the all 6, a beautiful dinning space for us to have some meals all together, functional kitchen, and 2 full great suites. The other two of us, stayed in the next door double room, again with over the top accomodation, more than we could expect.
I need to leave a special thanks to the Front Office Manager - Pradeep Bijlwan. With all our concerns related to travelling in pandemic time, in a 6 person group, inlcuding a 4 year old children, Pradeep Bijlwan was able to make us feel special, and almost making us forget that there was some kind of limitations because of the COVID19.
We felt nothing was missing, we felt 100% secure and happy, we can't express in words the will we have to go back there next year for another memorable vacations!
Another special words for Angelica Sarmiento, from the Rixos The Palm, for helping us with all our questions and concerns, prior the tryp. Your communication skills and availiability where spot on what every guest can ask for!

I can only end by highly recommend The Rixos Saadiyat Island, and we are looking forward to go back again next year!

Thank you very much!

We visited the Rixos last week for another staycation,we had previously stayed in December.
Our booking was arranged through Kristian whom we had met previously at checkout and who had given us his email to use to contact him if we planned a return visit. On contacting him he then arranged our stay efficiently with a room upgrade.
The Check-In was excellent and we were delighted with our lovely room with sea view to die for.The room had been decorated beautifully welcoming us back to the Rixos.
We ate at the main restaurant the food was varied and delicious, but the stars of this hotel are the staff who go beyond what is expected and made our stay so good . Joan and Naf in the outside part of the restaurant looked after us at meal times and spent time talking with us as well as making sure our meals were a thoroughly enjoyable experience.Their attention to detail and kindness to us during our stay was remarkable. Tables were cleaned with sanitisers after people finished meals and social distancing were strictly adhered to.
Pool bar service was fabulous and special thanks to our waiters on skates and bar staff for the excellent drinks.
