Hotel Lost is a lovely spot in the heart of Gemmayzeh. The location is near so many lovely galleries, restaurants, pubs and shops that show off the history and beauty of Beirut. The rooms are large and the shared spaces between the rooms are a great space to gather. The bathrooms are renovated and clean and the staff was helpful. The restaurant/bar has amazing pasta and pizza. I highly recommend
Amazing hospitality and ambiance . The place is clean, the food is mouthwatering and the best time in beirut is at lost. The pizza at lost bar is a must and I would recommend the puttanesca pizza. The wine list is nice and if you want cocktails just cross the street to the hotels Bar
Terrific, fairly low-key boutique choice in a happening part of Beirut. Plenty of dining and cafe spots in the immediate area, as well as a very popular restaurant/bar in the hotel itself, which bursts to overflowing on weekends. A special shout-out to Roy, Jack and the rest of the crew for all of their invaluable help and advice.
Cant speak highly enough about this hotel. The location is great, the price is reasonable, the rooms are comfortable and big, and the whole hotel is beautiful and charming. The people running the hotel also go out of their away to be helpful. I had some issues with. my booking (my own fault), and they were flexible and did everything they could to accommodate me.
I can't recommend Hotel Lost enough. It's a great boutique hotel with a fantastic restaurant in the most central part of Gemmayze, walkable to so many restaurants and coffeeshops nearby. Management is excellent and even helped me get some things I left in the hotel. I will certainly stay here again.
Tho was such a wonderful place to stay! It’s right in the heart of Gemmayze, so there was lots going on nearby. The room was sparkling clean, breakfast was delicious, the staff was unfailingly kind, and everything was safe and comfortable. Highly, highly recommend.
Room was quirky with modern features such as copper bars and glass walls for bathroom. Manager explained that our particular room was not fully finished after explosion - so therefore they was no shading on glass wall to give privacy in the bathroom. It was quite a surprise for us. Bed and especially the pillows were very comfortable. We had a drink in the bar and Yamen gave us a free shot, which was very tasty. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice of food (eggs, pancakes, granola) with tea/coffee and a juice. I had lunch here while waiting for flight, it was good but quite expensive for what you get. This place has a trendy vibe to it and it was nice to relax here with a coffee or drink.
The nicest boutique hotel in Beirut. Comfortable and clean rooms, exceptionally helpful staff, and great food and drinks in the restaurant downstairs. Look for Sultan when you get there, he’s extremely accommodating. Would definitely go back.
Great boutique hotel in a very good area of Beirut. Very good and friendly hotel team who always makes everything they can to make the guests happy. The interior of the rooms is stylish, even the mirrors are designed by the lovely Swedish owner Johanna. The breakfast was very luxury and the rosemary coffee was so good! The homemade granola was very delicious. The hotel was strongly damaged after the blast 2020 but is now rebuilt to its former glory! Hotel Lost also had a resort by the sea called Lost at Sea, will definitely be back!
“Lost” hotel, located in the heart of the famous Gouraud Street known as “Gemmayze”, is the right place to stay whether for a short or extended stay. I have stayed for the weekend and I was absolutely fascinated. Its location, 20 min away from the airport, and walking distance from Sursock Museum, to downtown of Beirut, and the art galleries of Saifi Village, makes it an ideal choice. You can actually walk to everywhere from its location. While booking, make sure to reserve a room with a terrace. It will make you live the vibes of Beirut. Your room will be facing the famous Saint Nicolas stairs which connects the hip-bars area of the city to the luxury neighborhood of Achrafiyeh. Sit on the terrace and entertain yourself while looking at the loving birds meeting on the stairs and swinging over the music coming up from the walk-in resto-bar at the hotel entrance café-trottoir that offers yummi coffee and cocktail drinks as well as a healthy tasty food menu. Do not miss their special cocktails and all day coffee!! Something very unique everywhere you go in the hotel are the mirrors, they were kept exactly as they were left after the Beirut blast to be a veritable witness of a city that was born to live the Phoenician bird life cycle. The hotel room is traditionally “à la Libanaise” with a design touch with its warm colours and lighting as well as the small and big details of the interior design with very delicate common area between rooms. Adding to this, the impeccable cleanliness and the gesture of generosity by leaving at your door step a basket with plenty of room amenities to treat yourself. The rooms features satisfy all your needs: uncountable number of TV channels, Netflix availability, air conditioning, high speed wifi, various amenities, side lamps, sealing projectors with dimming option, luggage rack, working station/desk, towels rack stylé, industrial and very creative idea for a wardrobe (I leave you to check this yourself), spacious shower room and spa-style water pressure. All this is complimentary with your room rate. I loved the cups in the room! Each has a positive vines oriented quote such as “this year is going to be my year”… The staff are very helpful and professional. They have very high hospitality skills, they make you feel welcomed at all time. In addition to this, they are efficiently responsive and attend to all your needs and wants. For instance, I must mention Roy, Sultan, and Hussein as well as the bellboy (sorry couldn’t recall his name) and other house and restaurant personnel. The hotel pays great attention on keeping your belongings safe at all time whether by keeping an eye on them while left at the reception area or via the security key-access system at the hotel main gate, common area door, and your room door. My only recommendation to rectify is complying with safety and security related to the recent covid pandemic preventive measures: the staff at the restaurant must wear masks as almost no-one wears PPE at all. However, on the other hand, all menus are digital and hand sanitisers are easy accessed and available everywhere. To resume, if ever in Beirut again, “Lost” will be my only choice to come back to and stay in.…
