We booked the hotel based on TA reviews and our our experience surpassed expectations. Yanal and Diana were in touch prior to our departure from home, helping us arrange tours and a driver Awani who was a thorough gentleman and super helpful. Diana was so very very kind to organize a complete Jordanian dinner for us which we had pre-arranged. This is worth mentioning as this was past midnight and very few hotels would have obliged at such a late hour. This shows that they care for their guests and willing to go the extra mile for them. The rooms were super spacious (we had booked a triple) and spotlessly clean. The shower, bed linen and towels etc. Were all clean and the air-conditioning worked well. The breakfast spread is more than adequate though not over the top. (Which is great as there is less wastage). We stayed at Black Iris twice , first on the day (or night) we arrived and back again a day when we toured Madaba. Diana was kind enough to check in on whatsapp to see if we needed anything and if everything was alright. She was always available to answer questions. You can completely rely on Black Iris hotel to put you in touch with trusted drivers who can drive you around the country. The hotel is walking distance from the main sights in Madaba. I won't hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Jordan.

This hotel is fabulous. The staff are welcoming. The rooms are large and clean and the bedding is super fresh and new. The AC/heater is very strong, as is the hot shower. The location is close to the middle of town and very quiet. They can also arrange transportation to local sights.

We had booked other hotels in Jordan and Israel. All had major problems. We were soooo happy to find the Black Iris. We stayed for 2 nights. It was so clean, quiet, the hot water was great, food was yummy, and everyone there was so friendly and helpful. They made the end of our trip so positive. Thank you!

Black Iris hotel was a surprise for me, because I didn't expect from this hotel, nor this place, to be such a delight! This is great hotel. It is very well positioned, clean, rooms are comfortable, breakfast rich and delicious. Definitely the best hummus! The hotel offers dinner as well, but since we as a group decided to go for a walk and eat somewhere else, Nejib recommended us very good restaurant. Moreover, he gave us information about interesting places to visit, so, thanks to his advice, we spent unforgettable day in Madaba. People who work at the hotel are imminently likable, friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice, sunny terrace, good coffee and offers really fine wine. I highly recommend this hotel and send regards to all the nice people who work there.

stayed here for a day and had a great time. The hotel is located in a quiet area, even though its a nice 5-8 minute's relaxed walk from the St George's church. The rooms are simple, but big, clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean and spotless. The check in was simple and quick. The two ladies in the reception were really helpful and smiling all the time. Breakfast was included in the rate but the choice was simple and limited. But for the price you pay, its a very very good option in Madaba.

We had arrived later than expected but there was no problem with check in. Staff is really kind and nice. The receptionist gave us a map with how to get to turist attractions nearby. Close to all the attractions. The room was clean. Breakfast is buffet style and you can choose weather to eat the breakfast inside or outside on a terrace. Lovely ambient.

Very nice hotel. After a night in the desert and a bad experience in another hotel, the black iris was a true gem. Comfortable, clean, personnel is very nice. They suggested us the beach on the dead see for the next day and it was awesome. Good quality/price ratio. Absolutely recommended, good breakfast, good room and bathroom.
