We had another booking with a different hotel which unfortunately cancelled so we stayed at Hawa as a second choice. It's on a very busy road above a souq so we had to sleep with ear plugs. Our sink was leaking all over the floor and when we asked for a towel to mop it up reception didn't have any. Breakfast was a bit confusing - we got it delivered to our room the first day then the second day it didn't arrive and then we received a phonecall saying itd arrive in 30 mins but we had to check our before then. They were apologetic but I'm not really sure what happened. I think mainly there was a communication barrier as we don't speak Arabic and the reception didn't speak English. Overall this.place is cheap and central and the WiFi is good, so if that's all you're after it's not a bad option.

My experience was excellent here, no complaints. I paid 22JD per night, room was clean, wifi good, excellent and friendly reception staff, perfect location right in the heart of downtown, free cold water and hot tea self-service at reception. I recommend this hotel for this price and will come back again.

The hotel is right in downtown, couldn't ask for a better location. Room was big and clean overlooking on the main street, super cool! Who really made the difference was Hassan, one of the owners, a sweet and nice man always happy to help. I can recommend this hotel to all travellers within a budget looking for a special place in a fantastic location! Thank you Hassan!!

Good location for a downtown hotel. Strong wifi. Room was clean and a lot nicer than the outside of the hotel would indicate. Desk person who had lived in Paris for a long time was delightful and so helpful. He spoke perfect English and gave great directions. Tea available. The bathroom was grubby. Sink leaked all over the floor. Toilet was broken. Breakfast was so-so.

A very courteous, service oriented, ideally located location, this hotel extends it hand to help guests. Wanting primarily a place to stay overnight and store baggage, this hotel was perfect. Although centrally located on a major street, I did not hear any traffic noise in the room. The manager was helpful in organizing tours of Jordan, he provided information on where to eat and shop around the hotel, and was helpful in many ways. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and the breakfast ample. The manager permitted me to return to the hotel and stay without a charge when I returned to Amman and was waiting for my late evening flight. The hotel provide a perfect introduction to the hospitality of Jordan

The hotel is located in downtown Amman. It seams that there are no good hotels in the area. Unfortunately, also this hotel is not an exception. There is one person living and working in the hotel, and of course, it is very difficult for one person to manage the whole hotel, albeit small . My room was dirty - I found in the bed the hair of the people who slept there before me. There was no towel in the room, I had to ask for one at the reception. The toilet paper apparently had fallen into water and was dried afterwards. And importantly there was no breakfast, because the only person had forgotten to acquire bread. Ok, the price is very low, but e.g. in Europe you can expect that the room will be at least clean for any price. But apparently in Jordan and Arab countries in general the situation is different. You want 5 stars? Pay for 5 stars.

Stayed at the Hawa Amman Hotel April 2016. This hotel is in the center of historical Amman - the Roman Theater and Amman Citadel are walking distances from the hotel (take a cab to reach the Citadel, though, as it's a steep climb!). The hotel was clean and breakfast was served each morning. The manager, Hasan makes some of the best tea I've ever had - he's converted me from being a coffee drinker! The only down side was that there was a busy street in front of the hotel and cars would honk constantly (what's with that???) Realized if I turned on the A/C, it would drown out the noise. The manager Hasan and his assistant Naal (?) are some of the friendliest people I've run into! Hasan went out of his way to assist us in locating various places and even suggested a great place to get the best exchange rate on our money! Overall, nice hotel in historical Amman. The hotel's best asset, however, is the manager Hasan - what a great guy!

The best hospitality I came across in Jordan ...or as good as the best. At the front desk, mr Hasan is unreal! So happy and confident of his job, I thought he was the owner! They have opened a few months back but the place has an old world feel because it's in an old-ish building. And what a location! Right in the middle of downtown tourist paradise! My shower drain needed work, but that's one small unnecessary hiccup! The breakfast is simple and good... Made better by the unbridled chatter of an early morning Hasan! Enjoy! And Thankyou Hasan!

The hotel owner is super nice and helpful, I spent 4 days in Jordan, and Jordanian people are very very nice, and this hotel owner is probably the nicest one! Room is very clean and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is delivered to my room with very delicious breads and tea. The hotel is close to attractions such as Amman Citadel and Roman Theatre (like 20 mins walking distance).

The rooms are clean and stylish. Hot shower is actually hot (if you want so), which is not guaranteed in every hotel in Jordan. :) The location is good, as the best restaurants are near and it's easy to take a taxi everywhere. And last but not least: The owner of this place is a wonderful man, who speaks good English and is willing to help you with everything you need. Great bang for the buck!
