A warm welcome to Jordan from the Farah Hotel! With us you will get the most peaceful nights sleep yet we are also deep in the heart of Amman's historic Downtown area. Famous to travelers for its easy, welcoming style, our hotel's lounge is a great place to meet other travelers and exchange stories over mint tea or breakfast which is included.
Best thing is they have female dorms available. It’s very safe for solo female travellers. The staff is very supportive. You can use the kitchen. They do not have hot water in shared bathrooms but they give you key of a private room which has geysers. Bathrooms are old like the building so not very good fittings. There is no washing machine but they do laundry for you on per piece basis. It’s the cheapest options in Amman and cheapest private rooms/ dorm female and male in Amman. 5 JD per form. In this price you can’t expect five star facilities but it’s second home for back packers. Lobby is very lively but closes at 11 pm. And above all best location. There are many banks, restaurant, money exchanges and all sort of shopping from scarfs. perfumes, clothing and herbs. Roman theatre, market, citadel, Nympheum on walking distance. …

Farah Hotel is ideally located downtown and near the citadel and Roman Amphitheater, as well as markets and where everyone seem to congregate on Friday night . I loved both receptionists who were so helpful with everything I asked them. Their info was always right on target and significantly help my getting around and find the best places to eat, what taxi or shared taxis, to help organize us in groups for day tours. I did two of them during my stay with fellow travelers. I met several great people. The accommodations were good for me. I had an en-suite single room with double bed. Everything is outdated but all functioning. Cleanliness could have been better. I was on the sixth floor and I appreciated the working elevator!

Great hostel in the center of Amman. The rooms are sufficient for an overnight stay. On the ground floor there is a great facility with a kitchen and a comfortable sitting area where you can spend time. The hotel staff is warm, helpful and advise you on everything you need to know. Thanks to them, I had a more beautiful Ammmán (especially thanks to Rakan)!! I met many other great travelers. I would love to come back again

I wasn’t supposed to stay at this hotel, because I had another booking at a different place, but due to circumstances I couldn’t stay there so I had to look for something last minute. I’m glad I stayed at this hotel, because the staff were so friendly and kind to me and we even had good conversations. The location is also very comfortable since it’s located in the Downtown Amman.

We had bad experience of this hotel. Room was totally cold. After 3 hours warming with ac room temperature was 16.5 ! Room was very old fashioned, dusty and dirty. We needed use towels on the toilet floor because of dirtiness. Staff offered change a room, but all rooms was unclean. We got warm Water after 2 hours waiting. We got extra blankets because room temperature was only 16.5 when we went to sleep. Breakfast was basic. Only positive thing was receptionist who really wanted help us.

Myself and two friends stayed here twice during our time in Jordan and we loved it. It’s located in the city center just off a blocked off pedestrian street and near many markets, food stalls, and one of the best Kanufa places in the city. It has basic amenities and is everything you need for spending days and nights out in the city. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided us with lots of recommendations of things to do and helped us arrange our Jett Bus tickets to Petra and a taxi transfer to the Dead Sea. The breakfast is really good from 7-10 every morning. It consisted of bread, falafel, and some veggies. Also fruit, coffee, and tea! They provide a laundry service and I had several pieces washed for only 3 JD, which is a great deal. The one thing to be wary of is the showers in the bathrooms - there are no shower curtains and the rooms tend to flood. But it isn’t a big deal at all! We loved our time here and would stay again in a heartbeat!…
