This hotel was fabulous. Well situated to get to downtown Amman (1 minute walk).
Good amenities, safe, trustable, friendly and helpful staff.
We were so happy and comfortable in the hotel, near to all what a tourist needs inside the old city,
like shopping, Citadal the roman theater, Jordanien and Palastinen clothes, presents and foods etc.
There’s an amarican man in the reciption called (Sari) he’s so cheerful, kindly and helpful.
which makes the stay at the hotel enjoyable. he talks Fluent English, French and Arabic, very open minded.

Some of the rooms are designed with scandinavian model, and they are clean and suitable for partner or family,
You have as a guest laundry mashine to rent with very cheap fee available at the hotel,
You have alot of suitable palces to smoke.
Valuable experience & fair price for good service
The location of the hotel is my main goal and I really appriciate that because the hotel address is a part of
the Old city Center which means I walked 50 meters to reach the main old city streets
You have Rimbo street behind the hotel which has alot of night live as resturangs and cafe (Shisha).
300 m to the most famous Hashim resturang.
Gold Bazar and from there can you take cheap service Taxi (you pay for 1 person) to any where of Amman.
The best two Kenafa (famous sweet) are close to the hotel.
Sure when I will come again I will choose Sydney Hotel Amman.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I really loved this place. The location is amazing as it is 2 minutes walk from the famous Hashem restaurant and the wonderful downtown shopping district. It's super quiet and peaceful considering its proximity to everything and as it's a short walk from everywhere you don't need a taxi to explore the district as you can reach everything easily on foot. The place was super clean, the staff are really amazing right down to the cleaners and breakfast staff everyone was friendly, helpful and warm. You kind of expect this in Jordan and in the middle east more generally and you have never experienced hospitality unless you have travelled in this region but I really felt at home here, so much that I kind of wanted to extend my stay. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices, sweet and savoury, to please everyone. There is lots of good information available in reception and the showers always had plentiful hot water.

I would highly recommend this place for location, helpful staff and a homely atmosphere. I also had the good fortune to make some new friends and some really happy memories.

Thanks to Everyone for a great stay.

I will definitely be back

We stayed here for five nights using this as a base to explore Jordan by car. We paid JD 32 per night for the deluxe room which was quite big with a decent bed. However the bathroom is a bit small and basic. Tea and coffee facilities are available in the common area but you do need to pay for it (except at breakfast time).

The breakfast provided was quite good with a selection of cheeses, olives, pita bread, cucumber, tomato, jam, coffee and tea.

Generally I would say the hotel caters more to backpackers than tourists.

Internet was a bit patchy but this is not unusual in this part of the world.

It is located quite close to the downtown area and good restaurants and shops can easily be found.

If you have a hire car, it can be very difficult to find a park on the street as they do not have any parking available at the hotel and it is in a busy area.

I would say give this place a go if you want a decent basic room in a good location.

Nested perfectly next to the downtown, this hotel made my stay in Amman an experience not to forget. In a positive way, of course, as one-bed budget room had all the basic amenities I needed and a regular daily cleaning upon request. The hotel was also willing to accommodate my small requests "on the go", such as recalculating my rate due to last-minute breakfast cancellations from my side. And it is definitely the people who make this place so outstanding. I very much enjoyed interactions with Sari and other hotel staff, especially the wise white cat!

According to me Sydney Hotel Amman is best budget Hotel in Amman. Firstly location is very good in old Amman area, its very near all of sightseeing and restaurants, shopping. From airport you can get on sariya bus then, it drops you in 7th circle from there you can go to hotel 2.5 JD with uber. Hotel is first level of building there is no elevator, its not problem if. you ring the bell. they will help you, Hotel staff and owner od hotel are very nice and helpfull about everything.
Rooms. very comfortable, cosy and clean, hot water is superb, Ac is working very well as a heater, there is also little balcony if you smoke, there is also backyard for rest, smoke.
Breakfast excellent for me, its enough.
For Internet connection wifi coverage signal strenght good, sometime slows due to high load this is not serious problem, in Jordan there are some restrictions for Internet like whatsup video call. I got a little advice floor in room is very cold, I thin it needs a solution, Hotel will decide it
Overall is very good, thank you so much

Sydney hotel is a very excellent choice , you can guarantee a great accomodation , with very clean rooms and great service . Especially a warm welcome from Bassam and the guys over there . The hotel is right in the middle of the old town and is close to all shops nearby in heart of Amman. The rooms are clean , the hotel is safe with their security cameras and their locked coded doors. They strive hard to give you the best experience. Bassam is always there to help with anything needed , from directions around town to a great conversation to anything tou pretty much need. This will definitely not be my last time due to the great experience i had in jordan from the locals and from the hotel crew whom make it a very enjoyable stay. You definitely will not regret it and this place is great because of its employees and their professionalism. Enjoy your stay as i have . Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart to Sydney hotel and especially Bassam who made everyone was accomodated and enjoyed their stay.

I stayed at Sydney Hotel for 13 days during my visit to Amman Jordan. I had a wonderful experience during throughout. The staff were excellent especially Sary. I felt totally at home and made good friends were everyone of them. There are most welcoming, kind and sharing people I have ever met. Sary is like a brother to me and I am grateful for his friendship. I am so glad I had the opportunity to stay at Sydney Hotel because I believe the memories I made here will forever last in my life. Sydney Hotel's location is definitely the best because it is just a few steps aware from downtown for those who wants to experience authentic Amman with great people, good food and a great culture. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the staff even prior to your visit to ask for questions and assistance.

I stayed at Sydney for almost 40 days.
This is the perfect place for short visits but also for longer stays. If you wanted to be at our own and have a quiet atmosphere, this was possible at any time but again thanks to the nice courtyard you could also hang out there with other guests and the staff.
The rooms are very clean and have almost anything you need.
It is perfectly located
The staff assists you in anything you need and are always supportive.
When I go back to Amman I will definitely stay there again
Thank you!

We stayed in Sydney Hotel multiple days while we were in Amman. The rooms are clean, quite and the staff are nice and helpful. The room with balcony are especially bright and roomy. We booked airport transfers from the hotel and it was super easy and convenient. The location of the hotel is very central and it is only a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay at Sydney if I am in Amman again.

Sydney Hotel is a great place to stay during your Jordanian journey. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They helped us plan trips, organize PCR tests, arrange airport runs, complete laundry, and gave us helpful suggestions during our stay. The location is fantastic. It is less than a five minute walk to the downtown area, Rainbow street is also a five minute walk, and the Roman theatre is also close (from there you can take the stairs to the Amman Citadel). When we noticed an issue with the Internet in our room the guys fixed it straight away. I'd recommend Sydney Hotel for anybody who is visiting Amman for a short trip or for the first time. Thanks guys!

Yes! The folks at the the Sydney were very helpful in making arrangements for a number of trips: city tour, the Dead Sea, Petra and Wadi Rum. I recommend the Bedouin camp overnight at Wadi Rum! They will also arrange airport transport for you.
