Having read the reviews on here, I was somewhat dreading staying here although given the length of my layover, I had very little choice. And this really wasn't soooo bad. (I' not sure if that is because i was expecting it to be way worse though ;-))
The staff were incredibly helpful and kind and shuttled me back and forth to the airport like pros.
Everything was clean if perhaps a little bit sticky in parts and the room was really strongly perfumed with room freshener scent. Everything worked, including the showers, lights, wifi etc. There were clean towels in the room although it is true, the sheets here are too short! They used two sheets on a double bed in order to make them the correct length. Odd.
Some things in these rooms were old and looked like they were rusting or had been there a rather long time. The breakfast was not so delightful...everything, cucumbers and coffee included, seemed like it had been there for longer than it should.
All in all, not a terrible experience or as dirty as some others seem to have had it, but certainly not wonderful value for money (that tends to be the way with airport hotels though). We got a relatively good night's sleep and everything was fit for purpose.
TIP: To get to the hotel, walk past the transit area/security. On the other side of this is the hotel's check in desk. If there is nobody there, they leave a phone just behind the counter that you can pick and be automatically connected to reception. They then arrange for somebody to collect you and escort you through security/immigration and out to their shuttle. Made the mistake of calling the number on the sign above the counter at first and nobody came to get us, the way to do it is use the phone on the counter apparently.

We needed a hotel close to the airport as we had a very early morning flight the next day. After reading so many horrible reviews, I set my expectations really low. Much to my surprise, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Yes, the service is uneven and I'm not sure English is well understood. Our room, however, was clean and comfortable. The restaurant "dinner buffet" was a bit odd with most of the hot dishes were not very hot and the dining room atmosphere is cold and uninviting. The airport shuttle was prompt and easy. This property should be rated as "three-star" and it certainly is OK for a place to rest before or after a flight. Most of the real complainers reviewing this hotel were probably part of a mob stampede after a jumbo jet cancels a flight. The hotel claims they can get 400 guests unexpectedly at once. Fortunately for us, that was not the case.

My wife and were on our way back home from our Amsterdam vacation but lost our connection in Amman due to a delay in our first flight with Royal Jordanian (this things are not pleasent but happens sometime), and since our new flight was more than 17 hours later, the airline arranged for us a room at the Amman airport hotel. Personal was very friendly with a great english so we had zero communication problems, room was OK, and breakfast and lunch was more than you can expect from hotels next to the airport, and trust me I have been in many around the world. Transportation from and to the airport was also provided by the airline and was just a 5 minute drive.
Thanks for your hospitality.
Have to say that everyone at the airport was very polite as well, so I would like to come back to Jordan to visit the country, see the beatiful things it has to offer, meet new people and for sure enjoy their cuisine.

I have never written a negative review on Trip Advisor before, but the Amman Airport Hotel was so bad that I felt that I was obligated to describe it.

There is exactly one good thing about the Amman Airport Hotel, it's close to the airport. There aren't any other hotels near the airport so if you have an early flight, it's your only choice.

Let's start with the room. It's spartan, there are four white walls, a bed, a desk, and a couple chairs. And it's dirty, there was a film of dust on the desk. There was no mattress cover, and only two pillows, we had to ask for more pillows. And there was only one towel in the bathroom, so we had to ask for towels as well. The good news is that they were prompt in providing pillows, after we called twice to get someone to answer the phone.

As to amenities outside the room, the hotel advertises that they have the following venues available for dining and relaxing...

"– Mosaic Restaurant offers a variety of exquisite seasonal and international dishes.

– La Terrace is the perfect place for you to sit back and enjoy the lovely weather.

– Ristretto Cafe: the calm and elegant hotel lobby invites you to relax at any time you like.

– Champs bar: light snacks are served as well as drinks and cocktails."

So the reality is that Champs Bar and La terrace are closed, the Ristretto Cafe in the lobby bar is open if there is someone there, and they serve soft drinks, snacks and Jordanian wine.

The Mosaic Restaurant doesn't offer a menu for either breakfast or dinner, it's a buffet with chicken, beef and vegetables for dinner. In order to have dinner, one must purchase a dinner voucher from the front desk, they won't seat you if you don't have one. For breakfast it's a fairly comprehensive buffet and there was an individual who could make an omelet for you if you wished. The food wasn't mediocre, it was really bad, bland, and tasteless, neither "exquisite" nor "international".

If you're flying in or out of Amman, I strongly advise you to arrange your schedule so that you have plenty of time to get to the airport from a hotel further away. The Amman Airport Hotel is really, really awful.

Unfortunately this hotel is like a flop house. The only good thing about it was the proximity to the airport. The staff were nice also, but the breakfast and room condition was awful. I have had to stay here before and the experience was the same. This stay, the room was filthy: long, black hair strands on the underside of the pillows, rug look dirty, the curtains had dust buildup stuck to them. The bedsheets are so thin you can see the mattress through them. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet and toilet seat looked like a back road gas station mens room that needed a lot of attention. There were black foot prints on the toilet seat, mold in the shower stall. I have always felt dirtier after taking a shower here.

The breakfast offered was subpar. Very limited options and unappetizing. The last time I was here I recognized some men from previous stays who were eating. They used their hands to select food instead of utensils. One guy was eating over the clean plates and get food crumbs all over them. I skipped the meal and opted to wait to eat a McDonalds in the airport.

My honest opinion is avoid staying here. They don't appear to be putting any money into the place to keep it updated and clean. I tried to upload pictures I took and sent to my company of the room conditions, but for some reason Trip Advisor click and drag and drop didn't function. Spend your money and go downtown to stay. You'll be glad you did.

We made plans to fly to France in August. However, due to the cancellation of our flight from Beirut Airport we got rerouted through Amman. Because of logistics, our package included a stay in Amman by the Airport. The Hotel they booked us in was Amman Airport Hotel.
When I went to their website, I was impressed with the pictures they posted. Alas, reality was totally different. First there were no Towels in the room. I was told to press the Housekeeping button, unfortunately there were no buttons or labels on the phone, went back to front desk and after a wait they gave me one set of towels, though the room is booked for 2 people. another wait and they brought me another set, with an attitude as if I was begging for something I was not entitled to.

The room was dirty. The sheets on the bed were smaller than the bed: woke up several time at night to remake the bed, as I do move during my sleep.

The bathroom was dirty and had signs of mildew everywhere. The shower did not work, not matter what we tried it was a dribble. we finally gave up.

The pillows were uncomfortable and thin. We requested another pair at 8pm, and they never delivered them, when I checked I was told that housekeeping was busy, and they will get it soon. We left the next morning, and never got those extra pillows.

When we complained before our departure, the Front Desk staff begged us to write a review as they keep on getting yelled at by the guests, when they are powerless, as management is not willing to do anything to fix the issues.

I am including pictures of their phone, bed, and bathroom

Despite the recurrent bad reviews about this hotel they still didn’t care to improve? How? Why? Because there is no competition especially this is the ultimate choice for airlines to keep their passengers for delayed flights! Disgusting 100%. The rooms are just impossible. I am not too posh to not stay in average hotel, but this one my goodness, unbelievably filthy and disgusting. Stained beds, carpets, towels, discoloured linens…I’m even questioning if it was washed as it has still the smell of God knows what. The lamps, phone, tv, bidet, shower, faucet and everything looks 1000 years ago without maintenance! Good thing I always bring flip-flops or I would have skipped shower. I slept 2 hours due to exhaustion (delayed then cancelled flight) otherwise i would have just sat in the lobby waiting for my next flight!! To be fair the staff are nice except for the receptionist during check-in! I tolerated the cold bread and boiled eggs with prepacked jams during breakfast because I was starved, but lunch was very good, and dinnerr (and wifi) just OK. BUT still not worth even for $10 dollar a night even if it is a close proximity to the airport, better pay $50/3 hours in premium lounge offered at the airport or just Uber to the next hotel. SKIP THIS ONE!

This Hotel is not good. The Service was adequate, but the hotel itself is gross. The entire hotel, including the rooms, smell like smoke. The beds and pillows are hard and almost unusable. The breakfast buffet is lack-luster without even small things like butter or jam. The furniture is old and tired and should have been replaced 5 years ago. It is very close to the airport, but is it better than sleeping at the airport?....Maybe.

Terrible terrible hotel. Avoid at all costs… very dirty, service is horrible, and they always look for ways to take advantage. What makes it worse is if you get a transit visa. When you get a free transit visa you are essentially locked in the hotel where they can take advantage and you can only buy their over priced food and thing. Get your self an actual visa even if it costs a bit more, it is worth it.

We have travelled all over the world and stayed in countless hotels, including many airport hotels. Not all have been good but never before have we felt compelled to check out without staying a night and find an alternative hotel…. until we arrived at the Amman International Airport Hotel. We were only staying for one night at the end of a holiday before an early flight home the next day. The initial impression of the room wasn’t helped by the curtain hanging off the rail and the chipped and marked decor. Only one hand towel was provided in the dingy bathroom. Half the tea and coffee sachets provided had been used and were empty. The safe wasn’t working. On closer inspection the room was dirty, especially the bathroom. The bed sheets were so thin they were see-through and also stained. The additional towels requested eventually appeared together with two robes, none of which looked clean. The public areas in the hotel were not much better. The pictures on the website bear no relation to the reality. Unkempt, desolate pool and gym areas, with what appeared to be building materials stored in the latter. Only one cafe was operational with an extremely limited offering. Food for the evening buffet in the main restaurant was sitting out late afternoon. The final straw was when we tried to arrange an early breakfast and were told nothing would be available before 6am. We checked out and stayed in central Amman instead. Anything would be better than staying here!

Hi, I believe to enter Jordan you will need a visa upon arrival. This hotel offers a meet & greet service and they will welcome you as you step out of the plane and get the visa for you. The lines can be long, so it is worth the service. You will need to receive via email, they do not handle phone calls very well. Good luck.

I had a similar urgent situation with very late night halfway noises that were unresolved by hotel staff and lasted about four hours - midnight till now 3:42. Earplugs and fatigue somewhat helped. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Hotel has been here for what appeared to me, a long time. Basic for $189? We expected more. Three star at best.
