Ritz Carlton Amman is a great hotel with very few flaws. The hotel reached out ahead of time via e-mail to ask about guest preferences, special occasion, etc. so they put themselves in position to deliver good service from the very beginning and they prepared the room to our liking. As Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite, I was upgraded to a suite which was good quality and had the expected tech features for such new modern hotel. The only mild negatives were that the living room was not completely separated from the bedroom so while it looked like a regular suite and was spacious like a regular suite, however it had a bit of a feeling of a junior suite. Also for a city hotel of that caliber I always prefer 1.5 bath not only 1. I think this hotel has excellent service to begin with, and if having club access then it’s even better with a high degree of personal attention. Staff told us that they recently had a number of cancellations due to the war in Gaza so hotel occupancy was less than normal which might have played a role but the club was peaceful and never crowded at any time during our stay. It was useful to have a club which is open 24/7 rather than only during day time hours especially since I could not use my laptop in the living room early morning without disturbing my sleeping daughter so I could use the lounge instead. The F&B in the lounge was great – for both lunch and dinner they had different dishes to please all guests, usually one beef dish, one chicken, one fish, one pasta, plus some salads and desserts. On days where the weather was bad we were obviously spending more time than usual in the hotel and the club was great value in the end. Guests could drink champagne 24 hours per day in this lounge if they would like, and staff could prepare cocktails as well in addition to the pre-mixed ones available in the bar. When I rate hotels, I always do so considering the local competitive landscape such that in destinations with mostly poor hotels or without chain hotels at all, I am quite lenient when judging a hotel. Amman is the complete opposite – it’s a city with very high quality hotels. I stayed at W in the past and it was wonderful, and I also stayed at Fairmont across the street from Ritz Carlton which is probably a better comparison point. That Fairmont is one of the best Fairmonts I have ever stayed anywhere in the world, and can compete neck to neck with RC. So yes RC is great, but local standards are very high so I would not say that it’s crushing other local alternatives. …

We were fortunate to spend 3 nights here and it was outstanding. Everything is new and the staff went out of their way to make sure our experience was perfect. In particular we would like to thank Yousef Al Supihi, who manages the Club Lounge on the 3rd floor in the afternoon/evening. Abdallah Nemrat & kareem the mixologist are the best at the Roberto’s pub. The did above & beyond to make our night unforgettable. We did had wonderful dinner. Foods was amazing, Service is more than I expected. Kareem did for me the best of clear Negroni, Which is really impressive.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights in October 2023 as part of an extended stay in Jordan. The service provided in every part of this hotel is truly exceptional - from breakfast service to the club lounge to the front desk team in response to some ad hoc requests from me. The service provided here is second to none. In particular, the club lounge team left a lasting impression on what exemplary service in a top end five-star hotel should look and feel like. The hotel itself is relatively new. The decor and colour scheme is elegant, very easy on the eye and yet highly sophisticated in its appearance. Lifts were incredibly fast, despite the hotel having up to 20 floors (including its signature restaurant on the top floor), and I was never kept waiting at all. We asked for a room on a high floor and a balcony and we got exactly that. We were assigned a room on the penultimate floor (1811) with a small balcony overlooking the city of Amman and the Fifth Circle roundabout. Views from this room were memorable (see attached photos). The room itself was spacious and elegant. Beds were extremely comfortable, there was more than adequate storage space, room controls were simple enough to use without causing confusion or complication, the views from the balcony were memorable and the rainfall shower was powerful. Toiletries and amenities provided were branded. My only one small criticism was some inconsistency in the room being serviced each day, but this was swiftly remedied by the front desk team. The breakfast spread is not as vast as many other competitor five star hotels but the quality of the food more than compensates for quantity. The club lounge provides a wide and varied range of food throughout the day, particularly for afternoon tea and during the evening. We used the outdoor pool, indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room which were all immaculately kept clean by the hotel staff. The staff in this hotel work tirelessly behind the scenes. Overall, this is an exceptional hotel and many leagues ahead of other competitor five star hotels in Amman. I would go further to say this hotel is comparable with the very best five star hotels in other countries such as Dubai which are renowned for their opulence and exceptional service. This is a one year old hotel, with no expense spared. Every part of the hotel exudes beauty and rich detail. The executive lounge was particularly great, including its service. They were exceptional. Daria, at the pool, helped rescue a small child who fell into a deep pool. She was a true hero.

The newer (finished in 2019) Ritz Carlton is a beautiful 5 Start hotel located in a great location. I visited several of the 5 star hotels in Amman and I would rate the Ritz as the best. Excellent restaurants (especially the breakfast buffet), great bar, nice pool and gym area. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff is excellent and was always available to assist and make our stay the best.
