This is not a fancy hotel. But what it does have is fantastic service. Our room was small but the bed was comfy. The pillow was a bit lumpy. The breakfast was good and simple - Middle Eastern style. There was free internet and unlimited lemon juice, tea and coffee available. Bottled cold water was very reasonably priced. Best of all was Fatih's kind offer to allow me the use of a room to shower in after we'd checked out before we went to the airport at 10pm. It was a lifesaver after a long day visiting the sights and before a 24 hour flight home to Australia. Shukran!!

This is definitely the best hotel for a budget traveller in downtown Amman. It is located behind the Roman Amphitheater, close to everything and you see the Citadel from that spot when looking up. The owner Wael Sahih is present in the hotel and is THE selfmade tourist leader in the area, knowledgable about the whole of Jordan! A very interesting, kind man for who no question of yours is too complex. Solutions come by easily, his friendliness is catchy. But wait until you meet his fabulous team: the amazing Fatima, Abdullah and Fathi, the drivers he hires for you: each one of them a person you will not forget. They stand out for their excellent teamwork together with you as well. You will feel at home in this family home. You can use the kitchen if you want, nothing is ever too complicated here. You come as a hotel guest, you will leave as a friend as I do. Thank you all Mariana Amar

one of the best hotels i’ve stayed! location is perfect. you can easily walk to the important sights in amman. rooms are clean and tidy. breakfast is nice and the offer tea with mint whenever you want which have been our favorite drink here. but the most important asset is the staff! all the time helpful, warm and hospitable. i was feeling sick and the hotel owner made me a ginger tea. also we checked out and they spared a room for us since midnight until our flight. many thanks to beautiful fatima, fatih, the owner and all the nice people we have met. they made us feel like home and assisted whenever we have questions. i definitely recommend this hotel for amman visits! we will always remember this stay and these lovely people! and please take care of the cute cat living outside of the hotel :)

As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were given an excellent Jordanian welcome and offered tea and dates on arrival. The manager was eager to reminder us that upon our stay we should treat this as our own home. He was very humorous and was very informative about the local area. He was happy to give us advice on the local restaurants to eat out. The hotel is literally across the road from the roman amphitheatre so the location is excellent.

The staff is absolutely amazing here. As soon as you walk in, they offer you tea and dates- true Jordanian hospitality. They are friendly and personable. Before I arrived, they were able to organize a PCR test for me and they printed it out so I would have no stress at the airport the next day. It’s a hotel- you have your own room and space, but it has hostel vibes with the friendly nature and communal areas to socialize with others guests and staff. The location is also perfect, you’re literally just across the road from the Roman Amphitheater. There are tons of local restaurants in the area with great food. Staff is also happy to give recommendations or serve food at the hotel. Would definitely recommend!

It’s few rooms hotel in Amman’s downtown, right to the Romanian theatre. So location it’s more than perfect if you are in Amman for quick visit to explore the city. The room was tiny, but we were just for a sleep. Breakfast included in the price and all day long you can make for yourself tea or coffee at the reception area. It’s a cheap choice and you get exactly what you pay for.

I traveled with my mother to Jordan and booked 2 nights at Al Midan Hotel in Amman. The owner, Wael, and his staff were so kind, attentive and welcoming. My mother had a serious cold and every evening/morning they prepared her a special tea, gave her fruit salad and lots of warmth. They spoiled us. The location is great, and the room are nice. I would definitely recommend Al Midan hotel! Thanks you again Wael and staff!

Avoid that place. 1) room not really cleaned. Walls with mushrooms 2) ultra super light breakfast 3) never before in Jordan i've been charged 3 dinar to pay my stay with a card. They just wanted to make more money. I did not accept and they stayed on their position. Other italian tourists had the same issue. It's not about the 3 dinars, it's about changing the price. They told me it's a tax about the card paiement. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the place

Like most people we met in Jordan the owners and staff of this small hotel were extremely and genuinely hospitable. The hotel is 2 star but it is clean and comfortable and in an excellent location. Breakfast is plentiful and tea and coffee are available at anytime. We felt so welcome at this hotel. Fantastic if you are on a tight budget.
