On entering the hotel late at night, we were pleased by the appearance of the public area and were pleased our tour operator had upgraded us to a 4 star property. However, on reaching our room on the sixth floor we found it to be dirty, with peeling paint and worn fittings and a dirty carpet. We returned to reception and insisted on being given a new room, showing the receptionist the pictures we had taken of the room condition. We were given another room, and although this was cleaner, the fittings were in poor condition. Given the hour we reluctantly accepted this room, but sent a complaint to our tour operator. Not the fault of the hotel, but on the following night a tour guide ran a welcome meeting in an adjacent room in the early hours and this, combined with people coming and going at the bar underneath our window meant a very poor nights sleep. We travelled for a few days and returned to this hotel, where we were given a better room on the third floor. However, this room must have been above the bar, as we experienced the thumping beat until about 4am on both nights, again resulting in a poor night's sleep. The restaurant provided basic meals, and in spite of the international visitors there was no indication of the contents. As my wife has allergies reported to our tour operator, she ended up eating rice and potatoes for almost every meal. The one time we accepted drinks with the meal we were overcharged on the normal bar prices, in spite of being told there was a 25% happy hour discount. The only reason for not giving them a one star rating was the excellent rooftop bar which we visited on two occasions. It seemed this hotel has gone out of its way to make the public areas look 4 star whilst seriously neglecting the maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms. In the quality of the rooms in was, at best, a 2 star property.

This 4-star hotel was worse than going camping. We stayed two separate nights: Sunday October 29th and again on Wednesday November 1st. First night Oct 29/23 (Room 405): 1. We got a nice large suite, but it was very dim. Two of the lamps had no lightbulbs. 2. The suite smelled like a mix of mould, cigarette smoke, and sewage. 3. There were flies in the room and washroom; some dead, some still flying around. No window was opened. 4. The faucets (2 sinks, 1 tub) were encrusted with soap scum and hard water stains. 5. There appeared to be concrete on the floor and some on the edge of the sink. Looked like construction worker was fixing something and they forgot to clean the room. 6. The tub was stained. 7. The towels were folded sloppily on the towel rack. They were dingy with some small stains. 8. The mini-fridge was not cold. Second night Nov 1/23 (Room 518): 9. Faucets were also filthy with soap scum and water stains. 10. I asked the girl at the front desk for TWO additional towels. They delivered ONE towel. I went back down to ask for the 2nd towel. A manager was present so I asked if they were going to deliver the 2nd towel, could they also clean the dirty faucets. I showed him photos of how dirty our previous room was. He said he would send someone up right away. 11. When we returned to the room, they had brought the missing towel and wiped the faucet. They were kind enough to provide two pairs of slippers; I suppose to make up for the inconvenience. 12. The shower faucet was not wiped. 13. There were unpatched holes in the shower tiles. 14. The grout was moldy and filthy. 15. We asked for an exception to have a 2pm checkout time. The girl at the front desk told us she had to ask the manager. We never heard back from her that night. 16. The next morning, we asked the gentleman at the front desk if we could have 2pm checkout and he said it was already noted on the computer. By then a bit after noon, we got a knock on the door. A lady asked if we had checked out. (She did not appear to be the cleaning lady, I did not see a cart). I told her the front desk had confirmed our 2pm checkout time. She looked confused. 17. The tv wires were exposed. On the positive side, the restaurant was satisfactory and the staff were pleasant. In summary, the Sanrock Hotel is the filthiest hotel we have ever stayed at and some of the staff were less than competent. Not recommended.

We were in 3 different rooms before offered a suite. The carpet is shredded in some places. None of the rooms had a plug for the tub. Breakfast consisted of hot dogs (they call them sausages) roasted 🍅, salad items, hard boiled eggs and 1 toaster. The toaster is missing the time knob, so there is a butter knife sitting beside it. Luckily another guest came up to show me how to turn the screw to get the bread to stay down. My rooms the phone didn't work, Internet was flakey at best and only one channel on TV. When we were offered the suite, the bathroom door sounded like it came straight out of a horror movie. I'm sorry, but cleaning staff should be reporting everything they come across to maintenance. One toilet didn't flush at all and looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly. We arrived w/o our luggage. Survived all week w/o it. Mostly by washing our undergarments in the bathroom sink and hanging to dry. When we checked out this morning we were told our luggage was in the back room. It arrived 2 days earlier. Wtaf??? The front desk clerk laughed and said he looked out for us. I was livid! We needed our watershoes to walk down to the beach area at the Dead Sea. It's all rocks and I had to walk down in bare feet. The front desk clerk said he had no way of contacting us. We were at this particular hotel for 3 nights. All they had to do was slip a note under the door. The front desk clerk actually said he was taking care of us by giving our luggage back at 6am when we were on our way out the door. Gets better... the driver service man was texting while driving 120k on the highway. I asked him not to text while driving, his response was, it was his office. If you've been to Jordan, you know the way the cars continually cut ea other off. I was livid is not explaining exactly how mad I was. This hotel needs to be renovated / fixed before people arrive. Not after they call down to the desk.

I was impressed by the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. The room's air conditioning system provided optimal comfort, and the well-equipped desk allowed me to catch up on work or plan my day effectively. The complimentary breakfast surpassed my expectations with its delicious variety of options.

Very rude staff, including the management No towels, no tea coffee maker in the rooms The manager were taking pictures of the number of towels in the rooms ??? Dirty rooms and washrooms No service to clean the rooms during our stay for two Nights. Food is average , the same repeated for every meal. Runs a Night Club so you get a wake up call with the fights on at 3 am in the morning and the profile of the visitors at Night is NOT a place I would like to be staying. Very poor Hotel ... NOT RECOMMENDED - we were a group of 45 on a tour of HOLY Land run by Tour operator JTT Goa.

I had a fantastic experience at the this hotel. The free parking was convenient, and the high-speed internet allowed me to stay connected effortlessly. The hot tub was a great way to unwind after a busy day, and the fitness center had all the equipment I needed for a satisfying workout. Thanks Sanrock!

This was the second time i stay at the sanrock hotel. The employees were very nice and friendly, although the hotel was crowded with guests they managed to keep up with the good service and hospitality. The breakfast buffet has a good food variety and a nice live cooking station. The great thing about this hotel is the price. The value you would get in this hotel is much higher than other hotels in the same area with the same specifications. You wont find the same standards for the same price . The location is excellent and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to um uthaina jewellery market and sweifieh shopping malls and restaurants. They have a very nice health club and a great sauna and body treatments. I also recommend visiting their rooftop lounge it has a very nice view of amman where you can enjoy a nice sunset view with friends and family . The rooms facing the front are the best in this hotel . So ask for a room view facing the front . I would Recommend it.
