I spent 4 nights at this hotel with a group and from our arrival I knew this would not be a pleasant stay. First of all, we were sitting in the lobby waiting for our room keys for 35 minutes. My bed had a stain of urine and the reception didn’t change it despite multiple calls and it was only a day later that they gave me sheets to change myself. Moreover, the rooms aren’t supplied with towels every day, let alone even cleaned at all. And when you call for towels they either say they have none left or take 45 minutes to arrive. The food on the other hand is pretty good.

Various factors just to for-warn other disabled people ensure the hotel has your disability needs in advance. They are not accessible and do not understand that it is disability discrimination to tell you to walk to the dustbin area at back at hotel and come through the tradesman/ staff entrance. This is not okay in 2022. The staff and management need customer care training in how to deal with complaints and de-escalate a situation rather then antagonise them and make them more angry as a result. When a disabled person asks for help it is not okay and is discrimination to say to them “I’m not your slave”. Also when I checked in I asked where the swimming pool was, I was directed to the health club/ spa. Outside I found a building site of a pool. On booking for my physical needs it is important to have a swimming pool I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE THE RESERVATION if this has been mentioned on booking.com website. The hotel room is in need of major renovations. I did manage to get another hotel but even leaving the duty manager became very hostile. A really bad experience, bad customer care and definitely very DISABLED UNAWARE and inaccessible!

This hotel should be avoided at all costs. My guests were due to arrive today from the UK for an event i the area (which is why this hotel was booked) - last night they checked the website to find out about the spa hours and were faced with a note stating that all spa and pool facilities were closed due to renovations. There was no reply when calling the hotel and this morning from Jerusalem I continued to call the hotel to no avail - so at 7:30am drove up to the hotel. There is noone at the front desk!!! The receptionist arrived at 7:45am. Noone can say when the renovations started or will end and on further investigation there actually are no renovations taking place just a fence round the pool and no access to the spa. The receptionistwas unable to help me when I asked what the guests who are now on the flight from the UK should do when they arrive to no facilities and handed me a card with the name of the Reservations clerk - Loren (who my guests had booked through) and the switchboard number that noone answers!) The main hotel number is unmanned. No option is given to guests for spa and pool use and noone seems to know what the situation is. All I was suggested to do was cancel. But now what should I do with guests on the way and no hotel for my guests for the next 4 nights. I managed to get my hands on the mobile phone number of the General Manager Aharon Samuel who refused to listen to my complaint because I had already made the cancellation. But surely it is important for him to know how dreadful his hotel is functioning? And that none of his staff know anything about the renovation nor think that guests should be advised before arriving?! That reception staff are not on the desk to deal with phone calls or guests?? This hotel was, once upon a time, a great local gem with fabulous facilities, if a little shabby. How has it reached such dreadful levels of service. I wouldn't send me worst enemy here. I have sent complaints to the Ministry of Tourism and the Jerusalem Hotel Association and hope that something will change.

Main complaint is that, despite being on about the 10th floor, the sound insulation from the street was very poor. The location is next to a busy road and my sleep was disturbed by the traffic, as well as by the droning of the air conditioner compressors on the ground far below the room. Overall the place was clean and the bed comfortable, but the hotel has a general look as if in need of some tender loving care - a bit shabby-looking. Location is excellent, near a light rail stop and close to the central bus and railway stations.

STAY AWAY! The hotel is a construction site. Works begin at 7. Terrible noise. When I complained, nobody seemed to care. There wasn’t even the slightest apology. I was told that the manager will call me. I’m still waiting…..

I was there for a Shabbat sheva brachot for my brother. We were about 40 people in all. The hotel itself was nice, great, central location and good accommodations, but what really stood out to me was the incredible attention the waiters and head waiter gave us. We had a problem with the space they had given us for eating, and once I explained the situation to the waiters and the head waiter, they listened and it was obvious that they really cared and wanted to solve the problem. They fell over themselves to help and solve the issue (which was a considerably issue), ultimately giving themselves more work by making sure we had the best possible solution. I have never seen such great wait staff in all my time in Israel, including at more exclusive hotels. It was really something else and I highly recommend this hotel for all your family events.

The hotel is old and the room are in desperate need of a full refurb same with the gym and I door pool. I stayed here essentially for the big buffet breakfast that the hotel is known for and that i have had on numerous occasions however I was in for a massive disappointment. Due to covid and the lack of guests they have closed the hall downstairs where breakfast used to be served. Instead it is served in the cafe upstairs and no buffet. Just a small breakfast with no choice of items and service is poor. The breakfast times is very limited and not of use if you have an early start like I did. Now there is no attraction at all to stay at the Jerusalem Gardens.

We spent Simchat Torah there, and in the absence of the normal American group that comes for Sukkot we didn't know what to expect but it was beautiful. Shabtai Eisenstat led beautiful tefillot; the rooms are great; the food was superb. We had a very quiet floor which was much needed and appreciated. All together a nice way to end our Sukkot holiday

This is really a tour hotel but in the absence of tour groups it is managing valiantly to keep its guests happy. The staff are extremely helpful and respond quickly to guest requests, even when the hotel is full at the weekends. The food was plentiful and tasty. The Reception staff were exceptionally helpful and kind.

I don’t know even where to begin. Personally, I’m very disappointed. The price you pay doesn’t come close to what you get. I got the feeling the Hotel is understaffed and not very professional. I’m sorry, but I can not recommend.
